Re: U.S Military encirclement of China
The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is going to be signed.
This is quite a blow to US influence in Asia.
Fifteen Asia-Pacific nations including China and Japan plan to sign the world’s biggest free trade deal this weekend. The FTA will cut tariffs, strengthen supply chains with common rules of origin, and codify new e-commerce rules.
The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is expected to be announced at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit, which Vietnam is hosting virtually. It will involve the ten member states of the ASEAN bloc – Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam – as well as their trade partners Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand, and South Korea.
The new economic bloc will thus represent around a third of the world’s gross domestic product and population.
It will become the first-ever free trade agreement to include China, Japan, and South Korea – Asia’s first, second and fourth-largest economies.
This is quite a blow to US influence in Asia.

Yeah the free trade deals US proposed excluded China and was economically irrational and detrimental and was political by nature, and it failed miserably. Meanwhile this one includes China, and excludes America.

I doubt the Taiwanese military can conduct joint ops well with the US & Japanese militaries- in the last few decades, they didn't even exercise together.
President Biden will be more accommodating to the PRC- among other things, he needs to clean the post-Trump mess at home.

Trump mess.
Yeah, BLM and Antifa riots enabled by the D. Party and Soros are Trump's fault. Maybe Russia was responsible for Hitler and WWII also
in your mind.

Re: U.S Military encirclement of China
W/o the police killings, other abuses & violence supported by his demagoguery, bigotry & xenophobia, none of that would've happened. Good riddance!
"Any coming Biden administration foreign policy will be restrained by circumstance, but not design," wrote Gomez and Brandon Valeriano, a senior fellow at Cato, in The American Conservative earlier this month. "The domestic, political, and economic environment in the United States will significantly constrain the Biden administration's ability to adopt ambitious foreign policy goals."
I have no desire to engage in domestic US issues discussion here, sorry.

Re: U.S Military encirclement of China
Singapore simply wont have the space for a US fleet to base its operations there... but I am sure the Aussies will jump at the chance to be a base for US forces... they have plenty of empty space there...
Would be interesting... Russia should point to this development and suggest to China that they might want to buy some Tu-22M3s that are perhaps slightly enlarged and fitted with inflight refuelling systems and of course joint development of an air launched high speed missile like Kh-32 perhaps fitted with a small ramjet sustainer to cruise long distances and then use its rocket propulsion for the terminal climb attack to 40km altitude and then scramjet and rocket assisted dive on the target....

On the other thread you posted this I suggested Russia selling Backfires to China with new hybrid missiles but I suspect the best solution would just be IRBMs that China can already make could be used to destroy the US home ports in Australia...

Re: U.S Military encirclement of China
China is creating 3 big bombers right now. Which should be like russian triade (tu-160, Pak Da,Tu-22M).
I doubt they will buy tupolevs. Maybe engines only.

Yes, Tu-22M parts r no longer made, & Russia needs those in storage for cannibalizations to keep her modernized planes flying. Biden to follow Trump’s lead in South China SeaI doubt they will buy tupolevs. Maybe engines only.

Chinas loss...
The new upgrades for the Tu-22M3M include adopting the NK-32 engines used by the Blackjacks for engine commonality....
How many SAMs and Fighter planes are China making now, yet they buy S-400 and Su-35 too...

China can now pull economic strings by restricting trade/investments, causing $Bs of losses w/o the need for supersonic strategic bombers.

China’s new deal with Pakistan has India in mind
By Salman Rafi Sheikh
When Chinese Defense Minister Wei Fenghe signed a memorandum of understanding with his Pakistani counterpart General Qamar Javed Bajwa this month, the pact had a clear aim of counter-balancing the growing US-India defense cooperation.

Re: U.S Military encirclement of China
India thinks it will get ahead if it sucks Uncle Swine-shit's schlong. They are delusional enough to believe that America
will transfer its Chinese sweatshops to India and raise it up like China. The problem with this belief is that it is totally
detached from reality. US and minion investment in China did not raise it up. China raised itself up. It's GDP reached
a critical mass even before the year 2000 so that internal demand was driving GDP growth. But I have been reading
about how China depends on exports for the last 20+ years. Typical western dick stroking nonsense "analysis".

China has the west as its primary economic market... it has expanded into Africa and the middle east and other places too but it sells a lot of stuff to the west.
Look at what the US has tried to do with Russia... it was not that successful because most US ties with Russia were in oil so US companies were quickly replaced when they were barred from taking part so in effect US sanctions against Russia cost the US billions in potential income... it also cost Russia but the payout has meant they have become more self sufficient and resilient.
China is more linked in to the world/western economy and potentially more vulnerable.
Of course China is going to develop new ties with Pakistan to counter India increasing ties with Australia and Japan and the US.... should be good for Pakistan...

^ Anyway about China US relations.
The Trump administration has just nuked the decades long US recognition of the "One China" policy status quo in what surely constitutes the biggest shot across Beijing's bow after months of anti-China escalation.
Its hard to over state how provocative this is. China US relations are finished.

Wrong thread surely? Anyway Biden change it back in a couple of weeks.
