“To increase protection of T-90SA tanks against high-explosive rounds and anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM), Algeria has ordered a batch of Shtora-1 jammers. Russia has delivered this equipment to Algiers and installed in on the MBTs,” the source said, not mentioning the number of Shtora-1 systems supplied."

Algeria has in fact received 4 Mi-28NE so far, two of them spot the N-025E on the rotor hub (likely the other two will have it fitted shortly, they must have been removed for transportation).

Re: Russia - Algeria military contracts
Algeria purchased more than 300 BMPT-72 "Terminator-2" combat vehicles
According to the Algerian resource "Menadefense" in the publication "Le BMPT-72 en Algérie début 2018", information about the tests of BMPT-72 in Algeria was given this resource back in 2013. And then the Algerian army was very interested in this system in order to strengthen the power of its armored units.
Yesterday, the Russian resource "Pravda.ru" reported the existence of a contract for the supply of BMPT-72 to Algeria. According to the publication, the contract was signed in 2016.
In turn, according to "Menadefense", the supply of combat vehicles will begin in the first quarter of 2018 and will continue until the end of 2019. The modification for Algeria on the chassis is maximally unified with the T-90SA tank delivered to the country. It is noted that the contract was not signed in 2013 because the Algerian side expected the appearance of a more advanced version of the BMPT - Terminator-2, in which the mass was reduced and the number of crew members was reduced from four to three people.
The total number of BMPT-72 ordered by Algeria exceeds 300, their main task will be to support the T-90SA armored tank divisions and ensure the protection of tanks. At present, the functions of protecting tanks are performed by the Shilka ZSU (air defense) and Land Rover cross-country vehicles with the Cornet-E ATGM (for land targets).

Money and needs. Algeria getting their hands on Su-57's when regime change is in the air is a NO from my point of view so it works out too. When it's time to upgrade their current fleet in years to come, sure why not? By that time we'll also know that the political winds in Algeria fared favorably. Don't want to attract uncle Sam's gaze even more so than what it's already by being its launch export customer. Given the situation, better to avoid that when vulnerable - as they're. India, the Turks etc... now those are markets worth going to the ditch and getting dirty for. Russia has been patient with India - as long as they don't buy American fighter jets I see no reason why Russia should spat in India's face by selling to Pakistan - which is an open market for Russia to exploit. Indian elites are dancing around and noncommittal....yet. A small partner could be Vietnam but Chinese sensitivities may be at play.

I think Algeria is a likely customer of the Su-57...the danger of regime change only increases the likelihood of them buying it. A large delegation visited the Su-57 stand twice during Maks
Surprisingly, Myanmar is interested in the Su-57

Re: Russia - Algeria military contracts

UAE, Algeria Take Interest in Russian Target Drones
Representatives of the United Arab Emirates and Algeria vested interest in the advanced target drones E17M made by the Russian company ENICS. They are capable to fly longer, higher and faster than the previous versions, the company’s deputy director Sergey Pobezhimov told Mil.Press Today.
The trials held in Q1 2019 have confirmed the improvement in performance of the target drone. The new version can stay in the air for 1 hour, while the earlier one flew only 40 minutes. The ceiling has grown from 3,000 to 4,000 meters as well.
The target drone can be powered not only by a pulse-jet engine, but by a turbojet one. Max speed with the first engine type is 400 kph, with the second one is up to 500 kph.
According to the company managers, using of one or another type of engine depends on the needs of a certain client. Some of them are foreign ones.
"Indeed, foreign customers took interest in our target drone. Example, those from the Arab Emirates and Algeria", shared Sergey Pobezhimov.
Head editor at Arms Exports magazine, Andrey Frolov, explained that the interest from these Arabic countries was natural, as Russia had already established cooperation both with Algeria and the UAE.
"We do have military and technical contacts with these countries. Sure, in these terms Algeria precedes the Emirates [as of purchase volume – editor’s remark], however, the UAE often act as a launch customer of new and expensive weapons. So, both countries are potentially exciting clients. In the case of Algeria, the interest in the Russian target drones is quite obvious, while it is hardly understood for the Emirates. Perhaps, they need these systems to train crews of Pantsir air defense systems", supposed the expert.
Another specialist in unmanned aerial systems, Denis Fedutinov, outlined the current trends in the target drones industry.
"Basic trends in the target drones development depend on their core mission: simulation of the wide range of various aircraft for minimization of corresponding costs. This task can be resolved by single- or multiple-use short-life air drones properly equipped to simulate different targets. This helps to make these devices more versatile under the current aircraft performance characteristics", commented the expert.
The new target drone E17M debuted at Army-2018 forum.
While some countries are oriented at procurement of new systems in Russia, another ones update the air training fleet by own efforts. In March, the US Navy reported on assignment of the initial combat readiness status to the new subsonic air target BQM-177A. It is supposed to replace BQM-74E used in the US Navy since 1968.

According to Algerian resource MenaDeefense , Algeria allegedly concluded contracts for the purchase of 14 Su-57E fighters, 14 Su-35 fighters and 14 Su-34 front-line bombers in Russia. The execution of contracts is scheduled for the period until 2025. It is reported that the decision to purchase the Su-57E was made in the summer of 2019 during the visit of the Algerian delegation to the MAKS-2019 air show. No acknowledgment of this message.

14 su57 +14 su-35 + 14 su-34 with option of 14 more for su-35 and su-34.
Hard negociations took place for su35 and su-34. Algerians refused the export model of su-34, the su32, which seems to be very bad. The chief of their air force the major general Boumaiza, a former mig-29 pilot, tested the su-57 on simulator and decided to buy the plane.

https://www.menadefense.net/algerie/lalgerie-serait-le-premier-client-export-pour-le-su-57-et-le-su-34/

Algeria received a new batch of T-90SA tanks
According to Algerian network resources, on January 8, 2020, a shipment of another Russian-made T-90SA tank delivered there from the Algerian port of Oran was noticed.
Apparently, we are talking about the delivery of T-90SA tanks to Algeria under a new contract, the conclusion of which was not reported in open sources.
Earlier, Algeria, under three contracts of 2006, 2011 and 2014 with JSC Rosoboronexport, has already received a total of 508 T-90SA tanks manufactured by JSC Uralvagonzavod Scientific Industrial Corporation.
