The Armenian response to the destruction by the Azerbaijanis of the "Osa"

Spread by the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Ministry of Defense (NKR) video is allegedly a "retaliatory action" of the NKR army as a retaliation for the destruction by the Azerbaijani side on May 15, 2017 with the use of ATGM Spike Armenian SAM "Osa". The video shows the response from the 120-mm mortar shells by the Armenian side on May 16 of the Azerbaijani positions near the village of Tazakend (Mardakert region). It is reported that the Azerbaijani communication and electronic warfare unit, as well as the shelter with the Azerbaijani transport-loading machine of the Osa air defense system, were hit.

USA and Nato have long tentacles, unfortunately, Russia as of today is Not up to the challenge to resist USA/Nato encroachment to its sphere of influence. Remember, the Baltics, Balkans and Ukraine have already been successfully taken over.

Looks like another war is starting. Russia has a strong influence on both side and could stop it. Azerbaidjan use lot of israeli stuff which could lead to its defeat.

My bet is that the Azeris want to demonstrate to Armenia, that they at any time have the power to overwhelm the Artsakh Republic and drive all its residents to Armenia.

So the current war will attempt to be a show of force with some Azeri gains. But they won't actually attempt a full-scale war

If the demonstration succeeds, then the next step would be to send Armenia an offer for a land swap; most of the Nagorny-Karabakh territory, at least, in return for part of the Syunik province to the south

Armenia is backed by Russia because of religion. Azerbaijan is backed by Turkey because of religion.

Armenia bought Su-30SM from Russia. Any Turkey backed offensive from Azerbaijan will be destroyed by Armenia.

The Armenian air-defence  bagged a juicy target...Hermes-900 UAV...they claim to have downed 10 UAV's of various types

Azerbaijani Army Major-General Polad Gashimov and Colonel Ilgar Mirzoyev were killed in armed clashes on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Azerbaijan’s APA news agency reported on Tuesday, citing Deputy Defense Minister Kerim Veliyev.

“Major-General Polad Gashimov and colonel Ilgar Mirzoyev died heroically in the morning battles,” the news agency quoted the deputy defense minister as saying.

Azerbaijan’s state news agency AzerTAc also confirmed this information.

4 russian su-30SM can do the job but armeanian's I doubt. They just received them and are only learning how to use them effectively.

I agree about the condition of the migs. But IMO they should be good. They are the only jets of Azerbaidjan and they must have them ready.

Azerbeijan is mostly flat, Armenia and Karakakh are mountaineous, a significant force multiplier.

It's doubtful any of Azerbaijan's MiG-29 can still fly. Maybe 1 or 2, but not 3 or 4. Su-30SM can take down multiple planes simultaneously. Is not problem.
