DONETSK, January 22. /TASS/.   As many as 597 Ukrainian servicemen were killed in clashes with Donetsk militias at the Donetsk airport, Eduard Basurin, a spokesman for the defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) said on Thursday.
“A total of 597 army servicemen and troops of the National Guard were killed,” he told a briefing. “I am speaking only about those whose bodies have been retrieved from the vicinity of the airport and in the settlement of Peski. As many as 44 people have yielded themselves prisoner.”
He said that the DPR army had destroyed 49 Ukrainian tanks and 47 infantry combat vehicles and armored vehicles in retaliatory fire. More than 1,500 Ukrainian troops were wounded and taken to field hospitals.

I am sure that over at the NATO butthurt forum they would claim this is just separatist propaganda. But then they are all chest thumping idiots
who can't deal with facts. The above numbers indicate that the rebels don't BS when they describe the losses. These are quite realistic numbers
given the intensity and the duration of the combat. There is no point fluffing them up. On the other hand, the NATO puppet regime in Kiev can't
stop making all sorts of ludicrous, unsubstantiated claims. Such as the 9,000 strong Russian army fighting at various parts inside Ukraine including
at the airport. As if the locals are all Kiev sympathizers. The endless shelling of Donbas civilians by regime forces is just a show of love and support.

oh.. you all need to see this..  lol1
    summary of news..

and here the captured Cyborgs were moved to the city by Donetsk forces so that they can see the
    results of their shelling..

About MAriupol...  im not sure if is a good idea to capture it... the kiev junta will have a field day fabricating
reports about civilians being killed by Donetsk fighters.. and there is also risk of civilians collateral damage too..
There is significant support from civilians in mariupol to kiev.. that will be resisting and blocking streets and the last thing donetsk forces need is to help kiev with their propaganda ,that what they are doing is "saving lives from terrorist".

Looking back in time.. the fighting in RADA parliament that used to happens through years.. now completely make
sense.. Ukraine was a highly divided society.. and with Anglozionist Neoliberal powers fueling their divisions.. it was a matter of time that a major civil war will trigger.  Another country that needs to be careful is venezuela..and look at what happened in Ukraine. the americanMaidans in venezuela just like in Ukraine had history of welcoming coups and tried to overthrow chavez 2-3 times and maduro President one time.. in their recent protest.  And the fights in the parliament even though they are not as frequent as ukraine was , they do happen from time to time..and when they happen the violence is very high.

Take a look.. at Venezuela fights in their parliament..

where we have seen this before?  No
yes in Ukraine ,before the civil war.

The opposition in venezuela represent the elite of venezuela of riches ,the pro USA factions. and most of them are really corrupt.. Chavez have shown evidence of opposition leaders receiving checks of $50,000 from USA to "promote democracy". In which planet it is legal politicians to receive direct pay checks at their name ,by other governments and not report it ? The corruption in venezuela opposition is unbelievable ,usually when they are caught with pants down they flee to Miami .The divisions in top government politicians are very high and is an invitation for a civil war.. Venezuela is showing the signs of an early state civil war.. It all depends if the new opposition leaders will allow US to control them or not.

    Very Interesting reports..

and not very good news for Ukraine future..

China paid Ukraine $3B two years Ago for grain still not delivered, now demands refund.
Another $3.6B that’s owed to China, will probably also default.

    http://fortruss.blogspot.com/2015/01/ukraine-stiffs-china-for-billions-it.html

This does not count the debt with Russia about in GAS and in the loan. about $3 billions more.

Kolomoisky is preparing a massive private army for a coup in Kiev.

    http://fortruss.blogspot.ca/2015/01/kolomoisky-is-preparing-massive-private.html

and 25 things Russia won by incorporating Crimea..  interesting report..

    http://englishrussia.com/2014/03/11/what-will-russia-gain-from-incorporating-crimea/

I do not see how Ukraine will survive 2015 .. not only because of its debts but because the strong rumors
of a new coup.. they are asking for $15 billions to the IMF at least.. and if a new coup happens it will be game over
for Ukraine.. The army will split in half and you will have 3 armies with 3 leaders.. I cannot imagine ukraine maintaining unity with another coup and all ukie institutions replaced for banderas..  Whatever happens neither Russia should invade , they cannot be inside Ukraine when the second civil war start.. and the Novo Forces neither should be away of Donetsk and Lugansk..territory.. And just let Kharkiv and Odessa deal with their problems.. because many false flag attacks will happen and they will be blamed in Russia and pro russian rebels.. any help to resistance in Ukraine to other cities have to be done undercover.. with weapons and polite people without insignias.
Obama and its Republican Senate and Congress will love to see Russia armed forces inside Ukraine and start their
false flags to blame Russia for the killing of thousands civilians.. later use the inside jobs to force Europe increase
    sanctions against Russia..

the next 6 months will be critical for ukraine.. it will show weather Kiev will disband completely in many republics or
if they agree to end their war permanently and negotiate for peace with RUssia and the rebels for full autonomy and allow federalization of Eastern Ukraine. In any case the rebels should accept it... because Ukraine will disband any way for economic reasons..in the long run.. so ending the fighting is the first step.. they will get their independence sooner or later.. and without having to drive tanks to kiev.

Interesting articles at Fortruss. Here's another:-

    http://fortruss.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/kharkov-holds-its-breath-in-hopes-of.html

    Some interesting articles above.
It would be good if Kharkov could be won over. And Mariupol to Odessa. Much else should then crumble.
I wonder if the Resistance could have been run from Kharkov instead of Donetsk and Lugansk. Doubtless many Donbass resistance are actually from Kharkov, Odessa etc.

Can anyone work out what that shit Kolomoisky is up to?
I wonder if this is America's PLan B. Allow the Ukr to splinter and then have Dnipropropovsk as a mini-NATO enclave or some sort, formal or informal. I don't normally agree with these "anti Zionist" tirades. But you can bet that bastard has lots of scummy friends in Washington and the EU.

Its pretty bizarre that he's Jewish and he's "mates" with Prat Sektor. But thats typical of the failed state that is Hohol-land.

Basically of how Ukraine Indenpence failed how the money was stolen by its oligarch and how Russia was carrying its economy for nothing in change.. while USA was turning Ukraine in a banderastan.. IMO Russia policy in Ukraine
have been a total failure , they invested so much and allowed the coup to happen.

    Ukraine: The Plunder Continues

It has been a year since many Ukrainians came out on the Maidan, wishing to “improve life” in their own understanding, namely by integrating Ukraine into Europe. One can already make an assessment of the consequences but, to put it mildly, they are not encouraging.

First Conclusion: Maidan was very well prepared

The preparations did not begin with Victoria Nuland’s cookies but much earlier, with Kravchuk and Kuchma who generously handed out national properties to “their own people”, with Yushchenko who delivered the coup de grace both to the economy and the military, and with Yanukovych, who placed his “overseers” in all regions of the country.

Only in the last 15 years infrastructure wear and tear increased from 40% to over 80%. As a result by early 2014 Ukraine reached a pre-default stage. Gold and hard currency reserves shrank to 15 billion dollars, the country’s inability to fulfill its financial obligations increased to 65%, reaching an almost absolute record.

By comparison, the media is reporting that Russia is considered to be at 17% risk of default. Yet Ukraine’s total debt to all creditors is, by Ukrainian standards, astronomically high at $65 billion.

What did Ukrainians receive in return? The budget started delaying even the most important payments to the regions and to the population, the hryvnia already lost almost half of its value against the dollar and 42% against the euro.

The fall of Ukrainian currency is accompanied by growth of retail prices. Inflation already reached 20%.

Second Conclusion: Ukraine was subsidized by Russia during its entire independence period

This took mainly the form of lowering the price of energy.

The total level of subsidies exceeded $100 billion, and when Tymoshenko signed her “prison contract” forcing Ukraine to genuinely pay for gas, Ukraine’s budget instantly developed a “black hole” under the name of “Naftogaz” which amounts to 4-5% of the country’s GDP.

Of course, the national treasury did not empty itself out overnight, Yanukovych also made a contribution to that. However, right now the treasury is being filled by a massive currency emission by the National Bank of Ukraine which, according to Tymoshenko itself, is nearly equivalent to the entire national budget, exceeding $300 billion. Which spells a financial doom for the country.

    Third Conclusion: The Plunder Continues

And it is continued by the followers of the kolomoyskiys, the poroshenkos, the yatsenyuks who came to power in the aftermath of the Maidan.

It all began with the transferring out of the country of Ukrainian gold reserves, and is continuing through profiteering on supplies to the combat zone, pumping out of petroleum needed to maintain the “Ukrnafta” oil pumping machinery, and by theft of 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas belonging to Firtash (originally purchased by a $1.4 billion credit from Gazprombank in order to preserve Ukraine’s chemical industry).

They do not shy away from direct seizure of factories belonging to their competitors. The most recent major seizure took place in Odessa, at an oil refinery.

Fourth Conclusion: “Western partners” are strenuously pretending that everything is all right

Unlimited currency emission and the de-facto freeze of hard currency markets, the banks’ inability to return deposits, the inability to fulfill budget obligations, all of that is being ignored. The International Monetary Fund does not even have, by its own mandate, the right to give money to a country in the middle of a war.

But the markets cannot be fooled. The interest rates on Ukraine’s Credit Default Swaps (CDS), Eurobond interest rates and internal currency obligations are beating all records, indicating that a default is inevitable. Business publications (The Economist, Der Welt, and others) are beginning to prepare investors for the inevitable: if Ukraine is not given, say, another 20-25 billion dollars in the nearest future (and this in addition to the IMF and EU assistance to the tune of $37 billion), Ukraine will declare bankruptcy.

The interest of a one-year Ukrainian bond increased from 10% at the beginning of 2014 to the unheard of 27% today. Analysts cannot recall another such massive jump.

The same is true for Ukraine’s default risk assessments. At the beginning it was rated at 49%, which is high enough, but during the period of greatest tensions with Russia the indicator jumped to 60%.

    article continues..

Signs that GOD exist.. Very Happy
and NATO soldiers from private militaries found in donetsk airport bodies. Cool

Minister of Defense of DPR, Eduard Basurin:

-597 Ukrainian soldiers died at the airport so far - and those are just the bodies found so far near the airport and Peski, 44 POWs, 49 tanks destroyed, 49 BMP's and BTR's - just destroyed by DPR, wounded evacuated - over 1,500 (Ukrainians).

-Large quantities of American weapons, a lot of religious literature in European languages.

    - Found bodies in NATO uniform of contractors from foreign private military companies.

    - Today there were 19 violations of ceasefire - 13 dead (on a Donetsk trolley). No dead among the militia.
Last night there was a massive artillery attack on Gorlovka, a daycare was destroyed, a five story house was destroyed. In many houses all windows are broken. Any point in Gorlovka is subject to shelling. A hospital was hit.

-It is difficult to see all this, after Poroshenko announces he is ready for peace talks.
Despite everything, the residents believe that we will win.

    - After the destruction that happened from Hurricanes - a terrible weapon, there were no dead, I believe this is a sign that God does exist.

    - People help each other, don't think for themselves. These people cannot be defeated.-

Russia has a good opportunity here. To give the impression that it's potentially interested in a restructuring of Ukrainian debt, and could be willing to wait a little long before calling in that $3 billion loan.. perhaps even extend the Ukraine's gas discount for a few more months.
That might give the Western debtors the confidence needed to agree to the IMF's new plan, and also for some new Western loans to be approved and given to the Ukraine.

Hell no... Russia should not enter talks to restructure Ukrainian debt... the west will likely pretend to offer concessions in return for basically Russia getting less of the money the Ukraine owes it.

Personally I think sanctions on Russia are painful, but a necessary process to make Russia sanction proof and with no critical or important ties with the west.

By all means trade with them but don't become dependent on them or they will use it against you to make you do things to suit them and not suit you.

Right now it is western creditors that are going to lose money on this... I would just leave it at that.

When they can't pay... you can start making demands...

    IMO Russia policy in Ukraine
have been a total failure , they invested so much and allowed the coup to happen.

I disagree... the Russians gave their neighbour every assistance and indeed support and this is what they get from them. Clearly time to stop supporting a western stooge.

Russian economy is already independent and powerful and that country has no place for USD to wreak havoc.

Russia import dairy products from EU, but they also export supreme world class grain into EU. Without Germany wine, Russia can make traditional wine with okie-dokie quality, but no ones dares to question Russian vodka. Russian jeans are not good-looking, but it was made from the very best cotton from Central Asian breed. Russians eat expensive cheese from Netherlands, but Russia export its own chechil which is even more expensive.

And we should not forget that Russia export spaceship engines, oil and gas, drilling machine... to the West. Old man Soyuz still have to carry Gallileo satellite into the space.

In short, Russia have the ablity to independently produce almost everything, from tissue paper to rocket and spaceship.

There are 2 main groups of import goods into Russia. The first one is luxuries, for example Netherlands cheese, German wine, Levis jeans... and sextoy. These things Russia is completely able to 100% manufacture for its own, and it should do as soon as possible. The second groups is parts of a same products inside a multi-nation company. For example Russia exports frames and titanium for airplanes, and import full airplane. Or Russia exports frames for car and import engines and electrics...

Now we can see that Schlumberger "support" Obama sanction by make a 1.7 million USD deal with Russia.

Putin, Lagarde discuss assistance in overcoming financial and economic crisis in Ukraine

MOSCOW, January 22. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde had a telephone conversation on Thursday to discuss issues of international assistance in overcoming the profound financial and economic crisis in Ukraine, the Kremlin press service said.
“Putin and Lagarde discussed issues of international cooperation in overcoming a severe financial and economic crisis in Ukraine and in this context possible steps of the International Monetary Fund over the Kiev leader’s request to adopt a new long-term loan programme,” the press service said.

In my opinion, Ukraine's government suspects that they're not going to sit in their chairs for long.
Therefore, they are trying to grab as much shares as possible from the very profitable military contracts before fleeing to caiman islands or something Wink

i personally agree with Flamming Python, more is gained by treating an opposing combat force's POW's as "humane" as possible. in wartime conditions the way the enemy treat's POW's weighs heavily on the decision of combatants to surrender or not. especially with the condition of the Ukraine army with its conscripts where most dont even want to be there in the first place. the decision to just say "fuck it" drop the rifle and surrender knowing you wont be executed on the spot gets attractive at an certain point... that point would be the ultimate question of "are you ready to die for Kiev?". in this case.

in war, its extremely easy to give in to millitary escalation. to the point things just dont have anything to do anymore with millitary operations and just gets an savage display of hatred, cruelty and revenge.
partially i agree too that they shouldnt get off the hook freely, i'd certainly would have let them confront the people of the towns they helped shelling and the destruction it caused. but like the Novo's did do prevent people starting an lynching party or something.

and concerning barely-adult conscripts forced to war, first... me and the lives of my squad comes first. if im fired upon, i dont hesitate. it doenst matter if an 12 year old child fires an AK-47 or an trained soldier. the bullet coming from that gun is just as lethal.
that said, im not an monster either. i know what weapons do to the human body and seen the process of dying enough times. war is anything but black and white, just because some jerk forces an kid away from his home, gives him an gun and puts him on the frontline to fight in an war he's barely old enough to understand does not mean i want to see him hurt just because "he's the other team". to put it in black and white views.

it reminds me from my own experiences where the Taliban tried to force kids as Suicide bombers against us, where some 14 year old kid stood in the middle of the street crying "i dont want to, i dont want to" in Afghan. that kid was terrified, she wanted to walk up to us for help and we pointed weapons in return. but her walking up close enough to our vehicles ultimately saved her own life, she came within our vehicle's IED signal jammer Bubble and so the cellular signal could not reach the detonator cell. you can be an stone-cold warrior all you want but seeing an child be used like that does get to you. or you would be missing some serious feelings that makes you an human being.
or, another reminder my grandfather's ww2 story's where the germans put their kids on the Dutch streets with an rifle that where crying and just wanted to go home.

children are an vulnerable group in warfare, and 18 or so is hardly being adult when it comes to matters concerning the brutality of war. so,...when the situation and time allows there is no shame to give them a break for an moment and give them an way out of the conflict as long they dont pose an direct threat in my opinion.

I would normally feel sorry for them and would advocate treating the enemy rank & file with honor.
However if I understood correctly, what these airport defenders have basically been doing is covering for the Ukrainian artillery firing from that location or near it - right at civilian towns and cities.
SO, sucks to be them. Hopefully after they've had their turn at some light humiliation; their families can come and pick them up.

I wouldn't treat them with honour. Its not a sport like a boxing match.
Ultimately, the region had democratically chosen not to accept a US installed Nazi junta.
Their aim was to terrorise innocent people into subjugation.

The so called "cyborgs" could have refused orders. They weren't green 18 yr old terrified conscripts (not that that would be a defence either). But they actively took up their roles to terrorise.
The "only obeying orders" line didn't wash at Nuremberg and it shouldn't wash today. If there was no comeback, I'd have tortured them before killing them.

i personally agree with Flamming Python, more is gained by treating an opposing combat force's POW's as "humane" as possible. in wartime conditions the way the enemy treat's POW's weighs heavily on the decision of combatants to surrender or not. especially with the condition of the Ukraine army with its conscripts where most dont even want to be there in the first place. the decision to just say "fuck it" drop the rifle and surrender knowing you wont be executed on the spot gets attractive at an certain point... that point would be the ultimate question of "are you ready to die for Kiev?". in this case.

in war, its extremely easy to give in to millitary escalation. to the point things just dont have anything to do anymore with millitary operations and just gets an savage display of hatred, cruelty and revenge.
partially i agree too that they shouldnt get off the hook freely, i'd certainly would have let them confront the people of the towns they helped shelling and the destruction it caused. but like the Novo's did do prevent people starting an lynching party or something.

I agree with treating the scared conscripts who surrender with some sense of decorum.
But the airport lot seem to be hardcore Fascists of Prat Sektor etc, who are basically murdering for what they consider "fun".

I think there are sometimes extremes that are clear cut. And sometimes grey areas.

Likewise I treat a 16yr old dressed as a Nazi moron a bit differently to a 25 or 30 yr old one.

The danger comes when these "poor scared conscripts" surrender then get released, and then come back in full Pravy Sektor uniform.

Ofcourse the other problem is exchange of prisoners. Meaning sometimes u have to release a scumbag just to get a decent person released.

Overall a nasty situation. Because the creators of it are sitting across the Atlantic without any come back in their direction..

Yep and they're facing encirclement like last time too. Rebels are pulling off an operation. We'll see in 24 hours time basically.

If I were a betting man I'd say that Kiev will manage to react in time to reinforce its positions and stop it.
But then they might leave another line open from doing so..

Get your facts straight, these are Russian Army units grabbing land from Ukraine. Laughing

If Turchinov of the Kiev regime says it, then it must be so. At least that is what the western media I consume
    tells me.

US General Outlines Plans to Train Ukrainian National Guard

US army general announces plan for US troops to undertake training in the west of the country.

MOSCOW, January 24 (Sputnik) – The head of the US army in Europe, Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, told a press conference in Kiev on Wednesday that US troops are going to be deployed to western Ukraine to train the Ukrainian National Guard, Russia Today reports.

The training is set to take place at the Yavoriv Training Area near the city of L'viv, although the exact number of troops taking part is yet to be confirmed. Pentagon spokeswoman Lt. Col. Vanessa Hillman told Defense News that the training is part of US State Department efforts "to assist Ukraine in strengthening its law enforcement capabilities, conduct internal defense, and maintain rule of law."

In May 2014 the Ukrainian government voted to form a 60,000 strong Ukrainian National Guard, for which the US has earmarked $19 million of funding in from its Global Security Contingency Fund, to help train and equip soldiers.

In addition to the military training, on Wednesday the Kiev Post reported that the US Embassy in Ukraine has provided the Ukrainian Border Guard Service with a prototype of the Ukrainian-made 'Kozak' armoured personnel carrier, which is "analogous to a light version of a U.S. Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle," the Embassy said, according to the paper.

"To date, the United States has delivered dozens of armoured pick-up trucks and vans to the Ukrainian Border Guard Service. The 'Kozak' is larger and offers a higher level of protection," US officials said in the statement.

Voting results map from the 2012 parliamentary election in Ukraine.

The two main zones are Party of Regions (Yanukovich) in blue and the Fatherland Party (Timoshenko) in purple.

You can see the territorial division of Ukraine. It is composed of two basically mutually exclusive regions. The
west-center and the south-east. There is no Ukraine. It is a stitched together artificial creation that is ripe
    for partition.

Recall that the Fatherland Party took part in the coup against Yanukovich and helped destroy the Party of Regions.
Anyone who thinks that Ukrainian politics are those of a unified country is either and idiot or lying.
