Well know for the members, unknown for the outside world! This thread has to be a cliff hanger if this forum wants to attract new members. NOW we have the opportunity to do so.
Make this thread very visible and restructure this forum there are to many subsections!

Hold on there sport; Werewolf is right - it's not up to various new members to start shouting about how russiadefense.net doesn't look enough like mp.net for you to be comfortable with it.

By all means make suggestions, I do it from time to time myself; in fact there is a specific thread for that - but how about you folks it easy for the initial period and try to get used to the site as it is. That way, if you're still uncomfortable with something, you will know that perhaps it is genuinely unintuitive/clumsy/whatever, rather than you just not being used to it because on 'that other site', things were organized differently.

Is this a real photo? I've never seen a Ka-52 with that loadout outside of CGI and simulations.

T-90: the DIARIES of TANKER

Ivan Lebedev sent to Volgograd steppe polygon "Prudboi" to learn the abilities of the main battle tank of the Russian Army T-90. How to prepare a real tank? Will he become one of them? During the week the facilitator will have to live on-site field camp and go through a training programme that includes training on the tank, day and night shooting, forcing the tank to the pond and the final standings.

The image of Ka-52 with 4 pylons equipped with Vikhr's is photoshoped. On russian helicopters it was prohibited to use ATGM's on the inner pylons. This dates back to Mi-24A tests where they tried ATGM launchers on inner pylons aswell mounted to the fuselage near the cockpit which had same distance as the first pylon.
The problem is that russian heliborne ATGM's have all a spiral trajectory coming from the engine arrangement the other reason is that pilots often maneuver around even while launching either to stabilize the machine or to align targeting mark on their HUD.

I do not remember exactly if there was an incident where such a missile launched from inner pylon actualy struck and damaged the fuselage but it was later prohibited to avoid that and AFAIK the inner pylons only have wiring for gun pods, unguided rockets, bombs, KMGU2 container, cluster bombs and fuel tanks.

I am not certain if it has no wiring, but that is good guess since it is prohibited but also could be wrong on that part, however never have seen launchings from inner pylons.

That video shows that the Armata is not really taller than T-90A and since i am dead certain that the turret with tarp and framework is made bigger than it actually is i would guess that the turret is at least 10cm smaller than the tarp suggests.
