Interesting...so supplies increased, but I think also because they are on the defensive they increased the use of ATGW for which they're best suited

Those civilians who choose to stay in terrorist held areas can be considered terrorists themselves. Their citizenships should be revoked and then killed as terrorists. We don't need this anti terrorism operation to last decades.

Not sure how they can know that supplies increased, much more likely it is as you say, the 'activists' are starting to fire off their stocks in increasing numbers as they come under attack. With the pressure on their supply dumps and supply systems it is possible they won't get any replacements. If they retreat, then carrying the TOW launcher without missiles, in the hope of getting them later, may not be top of their priorities.

The banner with the palm and the crossed swords is very peculiar. For Salafis who pretend to be Islamic fundamentalists
they sure disregard the censure of images of people and other lifeforms in imagery.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aniconism_in_Islam

But this banner does look like this:

    Syrian Civil War: News #2 - Page 35 1330291783264976301

The US task force insignia is a classic caliphate theme. BTW, the pirate flag with the skull and crossed bones likely originates from this
theme as well. All of these insignia have a not so hidden message in them.

Russia will learn a LOT in this air campaign fighting terrorist in Syria.. that they could use later
in caucasus and hopefully the Russian Defense industry will design ,develop military hardware exclusively for Urban Warfare heavily armed with American TOW and Javelin missiles guided by wires.

As an example in cleaning Urban cities..captured by terrorist that they cannot move a lot.. you don't need fast tanks.. at all.. something very important Russia defense industry in their development of tanks..   So a super heavy tank of ~100 tons that have protection in all sides
with passive ,and reactive to lead the charge ,and with a gun designed not to fight tanks but terrorist and light fortifications will be ideal. Something like a tank with a 75 mm gun with anti personnel fragmentation munition will do the the job.

This is old school defense that do not depend in counter electronics at all.. but instead in mostly passive protection  that will always work. regardless of technology. This is to create mobile fortress to easily open the way for any assault on any heavily defended city captured by well armed terrorist. and any counter electronic added only be a bonus.. but not depend on it at all.

Its difficult to tell from the maps with front lines drawn more for convenience than reality, like south of Torez last year. But it seems that the existance of the large boiler between Homs and Hama is predicated mostly on ISIL holding Talbisah in the south and Ar Rastan to the north, everything else marked as ISIL held just being essentially empty countryside. So if this offensive happening today against Talbisah succeeds, then Ar Rastan will be in difficulty and the entire boiler could collapse freeing large numbers of SAA to move to another area. That is my view of a confusing war so I don't know if anybody sees anything radically different in that area Hama - Homs.

that's because this music / singing is a "kawli" style of music... "kawli" is gypsy. Its the most popular type of music / singing / dancing amongst the "hoi poloi" lower classes in Iraq. Middle / upper classes look down upon this type of art naturally

What is Shia stance towards music BTW?

Sunnism is extremely hostile towards most forms of art... painting is banned (except calligraphy), sculping is banned, dancing is banned, musical instruments are banned (except a type of small drum allowed during certain religious festivals - and not all clerics allow even that).

In Sunni videos you never hear anything except boring singing without instruments - all in the same vocal style. Red Army Choir beats their "nasheeds" by orders of magnitude.

well the shias aren't called apostates without good reason. they have music bands even in their heretical religious festivals... no wonder the "true muslims" are always there full of rage blowing them up with suicide bombers.
