AFP: the Western coalition denies strike on the camp by Syrian government troops
    http://tass.ru/mezhdunarodnaya-panorama/2504487

Great news, then Syrian govt can shoot downy any attacking plane !!!

    ---------------------------------

Vann7 wrote: This is correct.. i think is time for Russia ask Syria Government to say , to demand US that any other attack on Syrian army position will be retaliated and their planes shot down. That
the American Coalition is not being helpful at all ,and is creating more problems for them in
their legitimate fight against ISIS. An Ultimatum needs to be given to the arrogant americans
that If they bomb again Syrian Army ,their planes will be shot down.. as simple as that.

That they need either to respect Syrian sovereignty over its territory and right to liberate its country from terrorist..or else they will need to leave.

Well I wonder how it would be enforced? only by providing Assad with new BUKs,Tors and EW so Russia aiso not shutting down any US plane but also lets no coalition to bomb govt troops. But also can take over drones if they are cruising over Syria without govt consent.

The problem is that US says Assad is not legitimate but FSA terrorists are then what?

    Vann7 wrote:
The kerry threats seemed really serious.. they are warning to provide terrorist with lethal weapons ,so that include chemical weapons and long range ballistic missiles to attack Syria.

They are. US counter till inevitable economy collapse is ticking. Unless more "instability zones" will be created US might find itself  in deep s##t after USD is corrected to real value.

Strengthening Iran, silent help to Yemen and Assad is only what I can see but  I presume Vova has better plans.

    Vann7 wrote:
Everyone knows Americans are allied with ISIS..and the whole thing is a fraud..
is a fake coalition.. So something like this of they increasing their aggression to Syria was to be expected.  as a matter of fact they bombed also the IRAQ army.. and killed hundreds in one air strike before.  Russia needs to try to get Pantsir defenses ,the tracked version in Deizor.  and
try to accelerate the operation of the kuweires airport.

BTW Q8 airports? could  you elaborate pls?

So Putin's "partners" and "friends" from the west bombed syrian forces. Really it doesn't come as a suprise, that's how much they fear the s-400, basically it's done as a provocation. Russia is always 3-4 steps behind everything.
In southern Aleppo iraqi's, IRGC are advancing, capturing several villages.

The natural thing for Assad to do is declare all of Syrian airspace a non fly zone for any airforces not fighting on his side at his request, and to go to the UN to make the case that US and it's allies are committing illegal undeclared war on a sovereign state, yet again....

America is at least sort of honest in that they simply use force because they can and nobody will stand against them face to face, but the argument put forward by UK that they do this "legally" because it is "self defence" and because their parliament has voted for war then it is "internationally legal" can be countered by any first year law student, or anybody not mentally deficient. It could be that in future years, if anybody survives, that despite Iraq 2003, Libya 2011 and many other crimminal acts of agression by US and it's allies, what happens in Syria now will be seen as the beginning of the end and a slide into major war. Big picture needs to be looked at from time to time, not what equipment is where or who uses it etc. For the first time Russian forces are openly engaged on the side of a state being openly attacked by US and allied forces. This is not like Korea or Vietnam or Six Day War or Yom Kippur where there was "hidden" support, even if all knew it, this is, with the actions of Turkey and the announcement from UK that fighters will accompany ground attack aircraft, to "prevent an incident with VKS" , face to face and a provocation to open war with Russia. It is for Washington to back down from creating the conditions for WWIII, not Russia, for if Russia abandons Assad then that will be a terminal event in geopolitics not to Russia's, or the world's, advantage. I believe Washington is fast opening the gates of hell and that Obama, or more correctly those who pull his strings, are irrational and a threat to the entire world.

MAD works when both sides, no matter any hatred between them, are rational, but if one side has become irrational, then we are fucked.

"A senior US military official said it was not a coalition strike, but Syria's government has accused the US-led alliance of bombing the army camp and hitting troops loyal to President Bashar Assad. The city of Der el-Zour, where the strikes are said to have been carried out on Sunday, is mainly held by the Islamic State group, but the Syrian government maintains a presence in some parts of it. A US-led coalition has been striking at IS targets in Syria for the past year. France and the United Kingdom have recently joined in and have carried out air strikes of their own in Syria.

In a letter sent to the United Nations and published in Syrian state media, the government in Damascus said four aircraft belonging to the US-led coalition targeted the army camp in the eastern city. In addition to the casualties, it said the attack destroyed armoured and other vehicles and a weapons and ammunition depot. "This hampers efforts to combat terrorism and proves once again that this coalition lacks seriousness and credibility to effectively fight terrorism," the Syrian letter said."

That 100% accurate Rolling Eyes site VT is claiming that it was an RAF raid specifically because of what Assad was quoted as saying in the Sunday Times.

They repeat that interview in full at the link below. It is a long read, 30+ questions, but it gives you a pretty good insight into Assad. Unsurprisingly not a lot of it made it into the print copy yesterday.

Mmmmm, Turkey upping the anti. Looked the SAMP/T up to save you all the effort!

Last week Turkey sent a military delegation to France and Italy. It got acquainted with the production technology of 3PK SAMP/T, produced by the concern Eurosam and was present at the test launches of ballistic missiles, the newspaper said. If the parties reach an agreement, then the Eurosam will provide Turkey with a temporary 3PK battery that will be immediately placed on the Turkish-Syrian border at locations specified by the General Staff of Turkey.

    Read more: http://sputniknews.com/military/20151207/1031382814/turkey-syria-anti-missile-aircraft-border.html#ixzz3tfHvkmw4

The SAMP/T is produced by Eurosam, a 50:50 joint venture between MBDA and Thales. Its key components are the Mach 8 Aster 30 interceptor and Arabel multi-function radar. With up to six mobile launchers (each with eight missiles) the system can simultaneously engage 10 targets in a full 360-degree hemisphere – with a look-down/shoot-down capability – at ranges of up to 120km. The French Air Force was the first to reach operational status with the system – which it calls Mamba – in October 2011. The Italian Army’s first regiment followed in June 2012.
As with the previous SAMP/T ATBM trials in 2010 and 2011, the target in the 2013 test was described as a “TBM 300, with the equivalent range, speed and radar cross section of a 300-km tactical ballistic missile.” All three tests involved a Rafael Black Sparrow high-performance target launched by an Israeli Air Force F-15 aircraft. The Black Sparrow, replicating a Scud-B missile, flew a ‘medium energy trajectory’ after launch over the sea and was aimed at a point on land about 10km from the SAMP/T batteries.

However to calm down your angst, at 0:39 you can see the pintle mount typical of T-72. Possibly a T-72B gone boom.

    FFW to 7:40.

I agree this looks OTT, but as said before war is SNAFU, some how the TOW got straight from Rear deck to ammo stowage and lit it up. Possibly it was magnified on post-prod, you never know.

Sure, but why would you leave your most carrier critical aircrafts on land, while the Rafale-M can be far less impacted by the change. French people...

The SE is due to be retired shortly. Even so, leaving it behind it strange, all its parts and spares will be on the carrier. Mind you flying from land would increase its operational range if there were common munitions with the RAF.

I can't find any PR that says the C de G is actually on its way to the Gulf.

From the gossip on the Coalition Airbase in Iraq, Iraqi MP's are foaming at the mouth over this. Some suggested asking the Russians to "protect Iraqi sovereignity" if Turkey does not immediately withdraws its forces.

Whatever the reason tough, that Turkish Base got one giant bullseye on it after shooting down that russian fighter.
