Because when they are eventually surrounded by SAA and Kurds they increasingly piss off and politely asked to leave they will have to leave...simple.
At this point in time it is simply not worth the hassle.
That airport isn't for Kurdish airforce. You will have to get Americans out of there.
Once they are in they will not leave.
Why is this allowed to happen ?

Probably after these areas are liberated, we might see the combat aircrafts operating from Kuweries airbase in support of SAA push towards Al Bab to the north and Deir Hafar to the east?

#SAA Tiger Forces take control of #Afesh village in East #Aleppo CS (~4Km from Aleppo Thermal Plant.)
I feel we might also see the arrival (other things aside, if the production/delivery part from Russian side is ok) of Yak-130 in the next 6 months once the airbase is safe and re-opened for training. Kuweries airbase is the primary airbase for pilot training and it was probably one among many other reasons why Yak-130 was not delivered.
The Yak-130 is in a section of the world military aircraft that is expanding quickly. Time for a display of its capabilities!medo wrote:Dima wrote:SAA is going to expand the safe corridor around Kuweries airbase and looks like the Powerplant will be in hands by next week and then the production facility?

That would be good for Syrian air force to get their new Yak-130 trainers, specially if they will not be only trainers, but light combat planes. Equipped with Wasp radar, data link, RWRs, chaff and flares dispensers and jammer pods would be far more capable than other jets in Syrian AF. Yak-130 could also work as command plane of the group, when instructor in the back seat work as WSO. A squadron of Yaks in Kuweires could support both Syrian army and Kurds fighting with ISIS.
But to safely install a combat squadron there, they should also liberate the coast of the lake in the south and a wider perimeter in the east of air base to prevent any attacks on it.
