The airplane crashed at the Niznhi Novgorod Oblast, was a MiG-31BM of the retraining unit of Savasleyka

There are only one not-modernized squadron at Yelizovo. All the other units are working with MiG-31BM now

I have with a mixed fleet for these bases :
    Aktoubinsk 2 - 10 units
Bolshoe Savino (Perm') seems the last which have received BM, 24 units
    Jelisovo/Petropavlovsk : 10 + 6 x BM

About a year without news and according especialy author Butowski possibe a new Rgt stand up near Vladivostock to Sokolovka
from the very big Sqn with 22 BM ! to Centralnaya Ouglovaya
    http://bmpd.livejournal.com/2784601.html
BTW appear on GE a number of Mig-31s and Su-27s or 35s ? to Sokolovka this base seems enough active

But the number of Air bases with combattants in Siberia and in the Far East is really low !

So at present the deliverd number of aircrafts in 2018 is?

    Su-30SM: 12
    Su-35S: 3
    Su-34: 8
    Yak-130: 10

Production seems to be slowing down. 17 aircrafts is missing with less then a month left.

Post  eehnie Sun Dec 23, 2018 7:22 pm

In the refered to the combat aircrafts the delivery seems going according to the schedule for 2018:

    9/18 Su-34 variant
    10/10 Su-35 variant
    13/14 Su-30 variant

Only for the Su-34 variant the reports are still lower but will be likely also completed.

    Fighters (FAS, FMR)

Actually there are formally ordered with pending delivery:

    04 Su-57 timeline until 2020
    20 Su-35 variant timeline until 2020
    02 Su-30 variant timeline until ?
    06 MiG-35 variant timeline until 2023

Taking it into account, the plan for 2019 can be:

    04 Su-57
    10 Su-35 variant
    02 Su-30 variant
    06 MiG-35 variant

If the number of Su-57 or aircrafts of the MiG-35 variant planned for 2019 is finally lower, likely the number of Su-35 planned for 2019 would increase, if not, the last 10 aircrafts of the Su-35 variant would be for 2020.

Logically, the new orders are likely to go to the Su-57. From the current basis the logical production schedule for the Su-57 without new contracts of other fighters would be:

    04 2019
    12 2020
    22 2021
    22 2022
    22 2023
    22 2024
    22 2025
    22 2026
    22 2027

Enough to keep a fleet of 550 Fighter (FAS+FMR) aircrafts with complete rotation every 25 years.

In the case of aircrafts of the Su-35 variant, a new small order would emerge to complete this scheme if the production of the Su-57 is delayed. To note that this is approximately the same rythm of the start (2012-2015) of the serial production of the aircrafts of the Su-30 SM variant. I do not expect new orders of aircrafts of the Su-30 or MiG-35 variants. The Su-35, Su-30 and MiG-35 variants have their own future to export, because the Su-57 very likely will not be exported in many years.

    Fighter Ground Attack

If the planned delivery for 2018 is completed, the formally ordered units pending of delivery would be:

    04 Su-34 variant

In the refered to the Su-34/32, a strong new order of aircrafts of the Su-34 variant is very likely since there is not still a development of 5th Generation ready in this area. The production is likely to remain around 18/19 aircrafts per year in order to maintain the current fleet:

    19 2019
    19 2020
    19 2021
    19 2022
    19 2023
    19 2024
    19 2025
    19 2026
    19 2027

Enough to keep a fleet of 475 (450 for 18 per year) Fighter Ground Attack aircrafts with complete rotation every 25 years.

The Su-PAK-ShA likely can evolve to a true successor of the Su-34/32. The development of a new aircraft of 5th Generation for this role can give as result a new prototype by 2025.

A lot of wrong numbers. Most importantly the deliveries for 2018 are:

    14 Su-34, 14 Su-30SM (12 VKS, 2 VMF) and 10 Su-35S. Also 10 Yak-130.

13 of the 14 Su-30 have been delivered and the last is about to be delivered now.

The right number for the planned procurement of Su-34 variant aircrafts is 18:

The reference to the pending deliveries according to the orders signed is also right.

Added to it there is a projection of what I expect, that is the most modern option possible for the Russian Armed Forces.

This article Ult is linking is of today, and is confirming the delivery of 4 more aircrafts in the last days, 6 in December until now, updating to 14 the number of aircrafts delivered in the year until now. When Ult accused me of "A lot of wrong numbers" this article was not even published.

Four more Su-34 bomber aircraft received from the Russian Aerospace Forces
     entry is in top200 rating
     bmpd  December 24th, 3:26
Reportedly, Sukhoi Company, PJSC (part of United Aircraft Building Corporation JSC) transferred the next four Su-34 front-line bomber Su-34 of the new construction of the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after VP Chkalov to the state defense order in 2018 The planes were transferred in pairs on December 19 and 22, 2018 and headed to the place of their deployment.

    005791

Reportedly, the last Su-34 front-line bomber, built for the Russian Aerospace Forces under the state defense order of 2018 at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P.  Chkalov (a branch of PJSC "Company" Sukhoi ") during production tests, snapshot 12/15/2018. The flight numbers were not printed at the time of the shooting. Presumably, this board was transferred to the Russian Aerospace Force as part of a batch of four Su-34s 19-22.12 .2018 (c) stream / forums.airforce.ru

Comment bmpd. Thus, we are talking about the entry of four more Su-34 front-line bombers from the new NAZ unit into the 2nd Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 21st Mixed Aviation Division of the 14th Smolensk Red Banner Army and Air Defense forces of the Central Military District deployed at the Shagol airfield (Chelyabinsk ).  Supposedly, the transferred planes have serial numbers from T-10B-124 to T-10B-127, and became the last Su-34 bombers built on the NAZ according to the state defense order of 2018.

Recall that earlier from the end of 2017, the 2nd Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment, which was previously equipped with Su-24M2 front-line bombers, received 14 Su-34 new-built NAZ aircraft in the process of re-equipment.  Su-34 vehicles with red side numbers from “01” to “12” (aircraft from T-10B-110 to T-10B-121) were transferred to the 2nd regiment in pairs on November 24 and December 22, 2017, and February 2018 and May 22, May 29 and October 18, 2018.  At the same time, these 12 aircraft did not arrive at the permanent location of the 2nd Regiment in Shagol, but were temporarily transferred to the 4th State Center for the Training of Aviation Personnel and Troop Tests of the Russian Defense Ministry named after V.P. Chkalov in Lipetsk to retrain flight crews 2 Bomber Regiment.  Moreover, in February 2018, upon completion of retraining, the first four Su-34 regiment airplanes, transferred at the end of 2017 (red side numbers from “01” to “04”) were transferred to the Russian aviation group at Khmeimim airbase in Syria.

Only in September 2018, the Su-34 bombers, received by the regiment, finally arrived at the permanent location in Shagol.

Two more Su-34 bombers of the new construction were transferred to the regiment on December 6, 2018.  Judging by the well-known reports, all six Su-34 aircraft handed over to NAZ in December were transferred directly to Shagol.

With the receipt of four Su-34s transferred on December 19 and 22, 2018, the total number of vehicles of this type in the 2nd Guards Bomber Regiment reached 18.

The rearmament of the 2nd Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment in Shagol will continue.  According to the Chelyabinsk web resource chelyabinsk.74.ru, "there are three squadrons in the regiment. One of them has already been completely re-equipped [on the Su-34].

Four transferred to the 2nd bomber regiment of the Su-34 aircraft on December 19 and 22 were manufactured by the NAZ under a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense dated February 2012 for 92 such aircraft.  With their delivery, the total number of aircraft of this type transferred to the VCS under the contract of 2012 reached 84 units.  The first two Su-34s under this contract were transferred to Novosibirsk by the Russian Air Force on December 24, 2013, the next 18 aircraft - in 2014, another 18 aircraft - in 2015, 16 - in 2016, 16 - in 2017, and 14 - in 2018.  The total number of Su-34s built under all contracts, including seven prototypes and pre-production samples, has now reached 127 units.

    It means a delivery of 2 Su-34 February 2018, 2 Su-34 May 22 2018, 2 Su-34 May 29 2018, 2 Su-34 October 18 2018, 2 Su-34 December 6 2018, 2 Su-34 December 19 2018 and 2 Su-34 December 22 2018.

To note that with this confirmed delivery the total number of Su-34 delivered would be 121/129 or 128/136 including the 7 prototypes.

But the article says nothing about the plan, that was exposed in the article I linked:

    https://mosaica.ru/ru/federal/news/2018/01/25/v-2018-godu-rossiiskaya-armiya-poluchit-na-vooruzhenie-18-su-34

In 2018, the Russian army will receive for service 18 Su-34

    Поставки осуществит Новосибирский завод.

Deliveries will be carried out by the Novosibirsk plant.

Фото: mil.ru Photo: mil.ru До конца 2018 года российская армия получит на вооружение 18 истребителей-бомбардировщиков Су-34.

Until the end of 2018, the Russian army will receive 18 Su-34 fighter-bomber weapons. Об этом заявил заместитель министра обороны РФ Юрий Борисов. This was stated by Deputy Defense Minister Yury Borisov. «У нас длительный контракт с Новосибирским заводом - заводом изготовителем, и количество по годам последним одно и то же. “We have a long-term contract with the Novosibirsk plant - the manufacturer, and the number over the years is the same. Должно было быть 16, будет 18», - приводит его слова агентство RNS. It should have been 16, it would be 18, ”RNS agency quotes him. Ранее сообщалось, что российская армия получит на вооружение авиабомбу «Дрель», а также гиперзвуковые ракеты в рамках новой программы вооружений. Earlier it was reported that the Russian army will receive the Drel aviation bomb, as well as hypersonic missiles as part of the new weapons program.

Then thanks to todays public confirmation we have 14/18 (14 of 18 planned) Su-34 delivered.

From the article of today that Ult linked, there is not reason to think that it will not be a delivery of another 4 aircrafts by the end of the year, completing the sthedule.

You can include here a previous link if you wish.

Despite it, as you can see in my comments, there was never a doubt, that the plan would be completed.

Neither now with the delivery of 4 more Su-34 still pending or not confirmed. dunno

Supposedly, the transferred planes have serial numbers from T-10B-124 to T-10B-127 , and became the last Su-34 bombers built on the NAZ according to the state defense order of 2018.

Nonsenses, bmpd is wrong with the account of 2018, the number is 12, the batch of "february" was the last couple (Nº05 and Nº06) of 2017 plan of 16 airplanes
The production for 2018 was 12, because have been adjusted for have 10 remaining for 2019, expecting new Su-34M versión to 2020

The airplanes delivered in 2018 are:

    Nº07 and Nº08 in May
Nº09 and Nº10 in first days of september, directly to Chelyabisnk, together the previous 8 from Lipestk training center
Nº11 and Nº12 in october completong first Chelyabinsk squadron
    other 2 in 6th december
    other 2 in 19th decemner
    other 2 in 21th december

    totalling 18 at Chelyabinsk regiment

The total number is well know as the serial numbers and factory numbers

Last received is T-10V-127 (this is HULL NUMBER)
T-10V-1 to T-10V-8 : 7 prototypes and 1 airframe (fuselage) for Static tests
    T-10V-9 : first serial Su-34
    T-10V-127 : last Su-34 reveived

Then 127-8=119 and 10 are pending for 2019

eehnie wrote:In the refered to the combat aircrafts the delivery seems going according to the schedule for 2018:

The SAP 2018-2027 lines are very clear

    Mig-35 only 24 units, 6 until 2023 ans the other until 2027
Only one squadron for Kubinka and the other for Lipestk-Akhtubinsk. No more regments in active for Fulcrums
Russian still has 50 MiG-29SMT (3 squadros) probably for Astrakhan (2 sqdns) and Yerevan (1 sqdn)
In long term , the 50 SMT´s junk could be replaced for other 50 MiG-35

    Su-57 production :
    2 for 2019
    2 for 2020
    4 for 2021
    4 for 2022
totalling 12 for 2022 with the first stage engine.
Until 2027 only 25-30 airplanes, and later only for 3 regiments, one each Military District (west, east south)
This airplane is ONLY THE INTERMEDIATE STEP for the next generation that will have one air superiority figther and one strike-figther to replace all flanker models (Su-35, 30, 34 after 2045)

    About 2019 production:

    Su-35:
The year production is about 20.
The only foreing contract is Indonesia (11 Su-35: 2 in 2019 and 9 in 2020)
Other contracts (EAU...) are still in the pre-negotiation phase, so more deliveries to foreign countries are not foreseeable until 2021, after finishing deliveries to Indonesia

Next year Russia probably will recover lost time during the Chinese contract .
Russia could receive 18 Su-35 and 2 Indonesia and in 2020 12 Rusia and 9 indonesia
Then a new contract will be necesary at the begining of 2020

Russia Air Force will need other 72 Su-35 for the complete replacement of Su-27´s , and later navy other 24 for Kaliningrad
In that case is enough 12 per year during 2020-2027. The rest of production for export

    Su-30SM
A new contract to be signed soon
The number of 14 by year seems OK
in 2019 could be delivered 4 for Navy (completing the Kaliningrad squadron) and about 8-10 for Air Force (4 millerovo, 6 for "two seats" for Besovets, Jotilovo, etc..)
After that, Russian Navy could receive 10/12 each year, and Air Force 2/4 (as two seats for Su-35 squadrons)

    Su-34
    10 are pending for 2019
    Since 2020, 12 SU-34M per year for next 6 years (72 for 3 regiments)

The plan for 2018 have been totally delivered:

    10 Su-35 (West)
    14 Su-30SM (12 Kursk, 2 Navy)
    12 Su-34 (Chelyabisnk)

    Also:

    10 Yak-130  (Kuschevskaya)
    3 An-148 (contract of 15 completed: 9 Chkalovsk-Moscow , 2 Levashovo, 2 Rostov, 2 Ekaterinburg)
2 Il-76MD-90A (In trials , to delivery soon)

Also 2 L-410 have been delivered to the Russian Armed Forces:

    173101: https://russianplanes.net/reginfo/167094
    173109: https://russianplanes.net/reginfo/167130

The order of L-410 would be now at 13/18 and can be completed with units of the same series, marked in the last link as owned by LET Aircraft Systems (previous to the production in Russia, that seems to start not by lack of new civil orders).

The seaplanes are still not delivered with the Navy or Airforce, still are in test phase by the builder company at Gelendzhik

These 2 are not seaplanes, these are of the L-410 variant produced in the Czech Republic, just like the delivered earlier this decade. In fact these new 2 have been also produced in the Czech Republic.

The timeline of 2045 for the next generation Fighter is logical, but this means not that the Su-57 is an "INTERMEDIATE STEP for the next generation". The life of the 4th generation fighters has been longer than habitual because of the end of the Soviet Union, and the reduction of the fleet in the 1990s, but this is unlikely to be repeated. A sequence of 25 years between Fighter generation seems right, and this is more the norm than the exception. There is nothing official saying the Su-57 is an intermediate step for the next generation, and neither there is nothing official deniying the development of a successor of the Su-34/32 of 5th Generation.

In fact 25 years is a right timeline for the replacement of the entire fleet of aircrafts. As example for a fleet of 550 Figthers (FAS and FMR), the scheme of production of the Su-57 family that yo can see in my previous comment would allow it:

    04 2019 + 18 (Su-35, Su-30, MiG-35 variants)
    12 2020 + 10 (Su-35, Su-30, MiG-35 variants)
    22 2021
    22 2022
    22 2023
    22 2024
    22 2025
    22 2026
    22 2027
    22 2028
    22 2029
    22 2030
    22 2031
    22 2032
    22 2033
    22 2034
    22 2035
    22 2036
    22 2037
    22 2038
    22 2039
    22 2040
    22 2041
    22 2042
    22 2043
    18 2044 + 4 6th Generation (complentary of 2019)
    10 2045 + 12 6th Generation (complementary of 2020)
    550 Total + 10 previous prototypes produced before 2019

This would be the logical development of every generation since now. Under a scheme like like this, the Su-35 received this year would be moving to the reserve by 2045. In fact Russia would have then its entire active fleet formed by aircrafts of the 5th Generation plus some early unit of the figheter of 6th Generation.

The problem for the development of the Russian 5th Generation aircrafts is not in the 6th Generation coming by 2045. The problem would be in to keep artificially longer the procurement of the 4th Generation with new contracts for the Russian Armed Forces that enter in the timeline of the 5th Generation aircraft. From this scheme it is possible some delay, but the Russian 5th Generation will have 25 years for a complete development. And if later Russia wants to increase its fleet from 550, the production of the Su-57 will increase accordingly.

By the end of the current contracts Russia will have received approximately 691 aircrafts of the Su-27/30/33/35 family (98 Su-35, 24 Su-33, 136 Su-30 and 433 Su-27. Also aournd 465 aircrafts of the MiG-29/35 family (8 MiG-35 (2 prototypes), 457 MiG-29). In the case of the MiG-29/35 the number is lower because more aircrafts of the MiG-29 variant were assigned to other Republics at the end of the Soviet Union The production of the 4th Generation for Russia is done. It does not make sense to continue replacing aircrafts of the 4th Generation with aircrafts of the 4th Generation, having the 5th generation fighter ready.

Also, the Su-57 with the current engine of the Su-35, is better than the Su-35 with the same engine. It means that for Russia does not make sense to wait until 2022 in order to have the new engine. When the new engine comes, perfect, but the production of the Su-57 is good also with the current engine.

Only some months ago this new was assumed as certain:

Until the end of the year, the Ministry of Defense will purchase at least 36 Su-30SM fighters
This will be one of the largest contracts of the Ministry of Defense in 2018
At the end of 2018, the Russian Defense Ministry may purchase, in the framework of a three-year contract, at least 36 Su-30SM multifunctional fighters for the Aerospace and Aviation of the Navy produced by the Irkutsk Aircraft Plant (IAZ, which is a part of the Irkut-based United Aircraft Corporation "), An interlocutor in the aircraft industry told Vedomosti and was confirmed by a man close to the Defense Ministry. According to him, the contract value will be about 70 billion rubles. On Tuesday, in an interview with Vedomosti, UAC President Yury Slyusar said that the contract for fighter of this type planned for signing in 2018 "will ensure the loading of the IAZ in the coming years at the level of 12-14 cars per year". In addition, according to Slyusar, the Su-30 is good.
In total, since 2012, the Ministry of Defense has contracted 116 Su-30SM fighters based on the Su-30MKI fighter developed for India. 88 vehicles were ordered for VKS and 28 for naval aviation of the Navy, and their deliveries under existing contracts would be completed in 2018. In addition to India, such vehicles were also exported to Malaysia, Algeria, Kazakhstan, and in the future, these aircraft can be delivered to Myanmar and Belarus.

Another contract for 36 Su-30 for 3 years, for continue in a similar delivery rate than this year
The total number will reach 152 Su-30SM in 2021

However is not specicied how many are for VKS or the Navy
While the VKS is near to complete the third regiment of Su-30SM and only Will need small ammount for year, Navy still need several squadrons for replace Su-24´s
Other posibilite could be a fourt regiment for VKS and the navy will wait after 2020 for get higher numbers
Antway the Su-30SM purchases will continue for more years

The timeline of the new expires, and there is not contract. The procurement of the 4th Generation fighters for the Russian Armed Forces is almost finished, and if possible will finish with the current contracts.

At this point, pending delivery from the current contracts:

    02 Su-30
    20 Su-35 until 2020
    06 MiG-35 until 2023
    04 Su-57 until 2020

Of wich around 22 will be delivered in 2019. The procurement of fighters (FAS and FMR) of the 4th Generation can end for Russia in 2020. The Su-27/30/33/35 and MiG-29-35 families have still a future in the export markets, because the Su-57 familiy will not be exported in many years.

    10 are pending for 2019
    Since 2020, 12 SU-34M per year for next 6 years (72 for 3 regiments)

In adition to the Su-34M, a new variant of the Su-34/32, likely with a new own numerical designation (Su-40?), can emerge to replace the Su-25/28/39, in agreement with the necessary evolution of the Close Air Support subrole.

In order to make a good estimation of the future procurement of the Su-34/32, is necessary to take into account that the aircraft is likely to replace:

    Su-24
    Su-25/28/39

The Su-34/32 has still a good number of years for strong procurement before its successor of 5th Generation emerges (likely from the evolution of the PAK-ShA concept to a 5th Generation Fighter Ground Attack aircraft).
