If I understood correctly, this is a watch for the left hand, and the crown is on the "wrong" side because if it was on its usual position, it could create problems during operations, particularly in an emergency...
Too bad they didn't explain what problems... Anyone has an idea?
Then they go on saying that this is the norm for divers watches, but I quicky Googled pictures for "diver watch" and I must say that most have the crown on the right side, so apparently this is not really the norm...

As for wearing the watch on the inside, I would say it is mostly to protect it against shocks.
