(Peto Lucem) NEW MAP update: SAA forces continue their rapid advance in southern Syria and secured more towns/villages today. Government forces also took control of Tell Harra - the highest point in Daraa province.

Re: Syrian War: News #18
One of Putin's comments today on Syria. It should cause a stir!
After defeat of terrorists in southern Syria, the situation in the Golan Heights “must be brought in full compliance with the 1974 disengagement of forces agreement between Syria and Israel,” Russian President Vladimir Putin told a news conference.
He said that Russia is interested in peace in the area and Israel’s security and this move will allow to return security to the region and a ceasefire between Damascus and Tel Aviv.

According to the Syrian Observatory for human rights, rebels ambushed SAA forces there, which retreated with a loss of 12 dead.
Oh well you can't win 'em all....Minor setbacks didn't prevent victory elsewhere.

Not interested in the manic ravings of the pro-Jihadi SOHR. The dumb fuck will be out of a job soon enough. It would be good to have him "extradited" to Damascus and made to answer for his sedition, even if he has to knocked on the head and bundled into a sack...

It looks like the nose cone could be from F-15.

It may just as well be the remains of the radome of an S-200 missile...

It happened in the north so its probably an US f-15, if it is an f-15. So probably a technical failure.
If it is an israeli one, it could be an interception.

If a jet went down there would be a lot more debris to photo than a crumpled radome and a lone wiring harness.

I though the same. There are video also and no plane down only some electronics and a nose cone. If it was a plane it would have been there.

It's in northeast Syria near Hasakah, too far away for SAA S-200.

Depends on what happened in the air. If the plane explode in the air, than pieces could be found on the larger area. Also, this are just first photos. The plane could not just lost a nose cone and some wires from inside.

Not that much large. An air to air missile won't destroy a plane in pieces. A technical failure neither.
Only scenario that would explain what you said would be that it launched a big bomb that didn't go correctly and it hit the aircraft at the separetion and exploded.

Are you sure? I've read accounts of air to air missiles going up the tailpipe of jets and blowing them to bits.
Also, couldn't an air to air missile (or SAM) touch off ordnance carried by the plane?

Well it is possible but a f-15 is a big jet and twin engines. If it was downed by an air-air missiles there would be other part around for sure. And no country said it lost it neither russian MoD made any statement so ...

Another interesting analysis from Magnier. Includes this gem
President Bashar al-Assad didn’t limit his provocation to ask from Hezbollah to increase its military formation in the south of Syria, but he gave it a substantial gift: two full containers carrying US 60,000$/each TOW’s anti-tank guided missiles, Milan French anti-tank guided missile, and other “spoils of war” collected in the south of Syria battle as a token of gratitude to his allies who had shared the same fate during the long years of the war. The west and the Gulf countries supplied significant quantities of weapons to jihadists and rebels throughout the years of the war. These have changed hands from al-Qaeda, to ISIS, and now to Hezbollah.

So you are an Israeli posing as a Greek, eh.
Maybe the Israeli lunatics who openly supported the Daesh goons in the region should bugger on off from the Golan Heights.

Maybe Syria shouldn't have attacked first and declared war to Israel, then started shelling and air bombing the small country, when Israel was already busy with Egypt. And later in the 70s they shouldn't have attempted to invade Israel with over 1,000 tanks (clear existential threat). Both instances happened for no reason and no initial Israeli attack/provocation on Syria, other than stupid Arab politics.
Also let's not talk about gifting Kornet-E and Metis-M and funding Hzb circa late 90s and early to mid 00s.
