I am not sure how many here has experience with their culture.

I am from the Netherlands. so they are part of our "culture" since we invited them as foreign labour and they stuck around ever since.

Turks know no loyalty, they just act like they co-exist. whenever they hear some idiot shout to resist the ligitmate government they start mass riots and start waving Turkish flags.
We had a recent episode where the Erdogan 5th pillar figured they could enforce their turkish views on our city of Rotterdam. Sadly for them, the Rotterdam Mayor of Morrocan descent sent actual armed SWAT to arrest the Turkish political delegation. and send riot officers with dogs against the Turkish protestors. in his words: "Dutch Constitution is Law here, Not erdogan's".

anyway, back to the glorious culture of Turks....

They believe themselves to be decendants of the Ottoman empire. But they just got nothing to show for it. they are absolutely devoid of any logical reasoning or self reflection.
their first instinct is to react emotional, even beyond their own self interrests.  but often this realisation comes later.

For example, if you get into an fight with one. they will never resort in fighting you one to one. they will always seek to confront you on your own with an group.

Where ever I have traveled, I have never heard anyone say anything good about the Turks. When I went to Europe(this was 10 years ago but I am pretty sure the opinion has not changed) whenever anything Turkish comes up, people are all negative about the Turks

First generation image intensification might only see a few hundred metres, but third and later generations are fine for detecting and identifying aircraft. Thermal scopes are becoming rather widespread I have seen several videos showing Syrian forces with thermal scopes on their rifles, so getting some for MANPADS should be fairly easy... especially if they can get their hands on MANPADS then one missile would probably get them a dozen thermal scopes... MANPADS are much much harder to get on the black market than thermal scopes... and a thermal scope would make detecting a helo really really easy... they have enormous IR signatures and those rotor blades with the leading edge of the blades heated by friction with the air... it would just be a case of determining whether it is friendly or enemy... which is probably why the front line troops have been told not to fire on drones because bringing them down is easy but bringing down friendly drones is just as easy too.
