The best thing would have been pin point accuracy missile on one of the tankers.

Indeed.... hitting those tankers should be quite easy... those American vehicles don't seem to have any air defence weapons fitted apart from the basic machine guns...

Looks more like they are expecting attacks from lightly equipped ground forces...

According to whom are they stolen?. Sure I have seen my boys take things but I have seen Russia do the same.

Your implying that American forces got behind SAA roadblocks and Russian checkpoints were allowed to go near the vehicles and just take what they wanted.

"‘Forever war’ returns: Biden’s Pentagon team puts the military-industrial complex back in command - reports."

Hopefully Russia is ready, Trump did not start any new big wars and he did not wage war against Russia but that is about to change.

Pretty stupid. Half of iraq is chiites. Iran will use them to destabilize the country if Iraq listen to US and forbid their planes through Iraq.

Iraq shoukd instead forbid US planes which killed probably 2 million iraqi since 2003 and some hundred thousands in 1991.

Again......Who claims that? Some tweet?. May I remind you in that area the Kurds are in control of the oil fields and we have forces stationed there. They give us oil.

Just because some clickbait Twitter post says something that doesn't make it true.

You are being a bit obtuse methinks. The oil in the ground is owned by the sovereign Syrian Government. If, as is clear, the Kurds or others are pumping it out, putting it into road tankers and shipping it to anyone, including themselves, other than the Damascus government then that oil is being stolen. Unless Damascus has agreed that they can of course.

Surely you can't be disputing that?

Assad had to make some concessions for the Kurds to allow SAA troops up in the north. Originally the Kurds only wanted Russians in the territory.

Why do you think the SAA doesn't call it stolen oil anymore or do anything about it? when is the last time you heard them use that term?.

Because the Kurds are doing it under that little concession agreement.

Long story short most of the oil they pump out goes to Syria but the kurds can do what they please with a certain amount of it. I am not aware of the exact ratio but I believe it's 90/10

    Is English your first language?

    The original source said:

#US military thieves convoy travelling in the northwestern #Hasakah province. There were at least 8+ armored vehicles providing security for stolen fuel tankers and commercial vehicles.
    #Syria #USA #Syrianarmy

You picked that up and assumed it meant the fuel tankers were stolen.

I merely suggested that when it says stolen fuel tankers that can mean the fuel is stolen or the tankers are stolen or perhaps both are stolen... context usually is needed to determine which is the case.

I said that I thought the most likely case was that the oil was being referred to as being stolen because the current occupiers of the oilfields are being supported by foreign armies and terrorists, yet they continue to pump oil and sell it to criminal elements like the US and Turkey.

That we are discussing the trivially obvious fact that the US is engaged in oil theft from Syrian oil wells is absurd.
SS is a propaganda weened, mentally deficient troll who doubles down on every single BS talking point he spews.
Like with the non-existent referendum in Kosovo.

Even in America and for sure in Canada, people living over resources do not automatically own them. So whatever
the feelings of Kurds, the oil is not theirs. Until Syria is partitioned these Kurds do not get to act like they are
living in a separate country. As usual, they can flaunt the law because the US invaders are there to back up
    their criminality.

When Bidet attempts to win again in Syria, Russia should help Syria clean its soil form yanqui occupants.

With Biden in power it is likely inevidible... they can either start the war to end all wars... or start paying their bills and living to a budget...

Biden isn't going to attack Russia, anyone who thinks that is stupid.

Biden would at most continue the age-old practice of proxy wars

That’s absolutely nonsense mate, you don’t really believe that. The generals stopped trump from attacking Iran only last week if the reports are accurate....why would they agree to a war with Russia?
Biden might just surprise you. But the wars by proxy as SS said will be the order of the day but with a different slant hopefully.

Not really the right thread to discuss it but no, if the US was going to attack it is unlikely that they would position a carrier task group as a sitting duck. Unless they wanted to lose it as well as their land bases in the area which again is unlikely as it would damage the US invulnerability image.
