Re: Su-57 Stealth Fighter: News #7
Russian developers continue the process of preparing multimedia helmets for use by pilots of the Russian Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation. We are talking about augmented reality helmets, which are developed primarily for pilots of the 5th generation Su-57 fighters.
Information Agency TASS with reference to the press service of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), reports on the passing of tests of the multimedia helmet of the Su-57 pilot developed by Russian specialists. It is noted that a promising helmet will help the pilot not only control a combat vehicle, but also capture a target for subsequent attack on it with those in the arsenal. weapons.
The message says that a helmet-mounted target designation and indication system has been created, which is integrated into the Su-57 pilot's helmet. The indication is carried out on the glass of the visor of the protective helmet of a whole range of data, including flight information, the image of the space outside the cockpit of the fighter, formed by cameras and thermal imagers.
Such a helmet-mounted system will allow the pilots of the Russian Aerospace Forces to carry out operations in difficult meteorological conditions, in the dark, to perform complex maneuvers.

Even now you can get VR helmets for drone pilots that enable them to fly their drones like they are actually flying them.

Re: Su-57 Stealth Fighter: News #7
The nice thing about the news IMHO is that Russia has developed first what works and then they will, step by step, implement improvements by including more and more information in the helmet, until the cockpit will be almost superfluous or a mere backup. Essentially, what a decent program manager would recommend, and completely opposite to the US approach by which first HUD is discarded and then the whole program is held hostage to helmet glitches and unreliability. I will never understand that some people don't see that this is either obvious negligence or something worse...
They have the same method to foreign policy... don't like the decision an anti Russian Ukrainian president makes... overthrow him and break the country and see what happens. Don't like Assad or Gaddafi or Saddam... get some terrorists to try to murder them and break their countries and see how it turns out.
Their luck so far has been awful if you look at it critically, but they keep doing the same thing over and over and over.

I think they very much succeed in destroying and looting countries, their effectiveness is like, you know, if they were not fully sincere about their humanitarian concerns, or about manufacturing cheap effective armament for that matter

I am watching modern planes at take off and the PAK-FA is the only one among those with conventional wing that does it without even deploying flaps, I have to assume its aero is simply way ahead of the competition.

Backman wrote:Sukhoi KB received a patent for the Su-57 at the China Patent Office (SIPO) This means that it will not be possible in China to create a plane similar to the Su-57 without the patent holder's permission.
In the US there are limitations on patents. The US Military can ignore any patents they want.
I doubt the same isn't true in China.

According to the secretprojects.uk thread it does have internal weapons bays, my only annoyance is the same dickheads that bashed the Su-57 and praised the F-35 are already giving it RCS values.
