Having 600 f-35 is quite low. Very bad actually seeing how Patriot suck at intercepting ballistic missiles that China will fire at those bases hosting f-35. At the end of the first week of war there may be only 200 f-35 left, most in US mainland.

Cool find. So this is in Dzyomgi airbase and the date on that X post was (05/01/2023), sounds like they were out there roughly around May of this year, meaning they're most likely still being stored there? With winter approaching, and I'm only guessing there will be inclement weather including lots of rain, snow & cold temperatures, would they still keep them outdoors like that?

What do you mean by "the squadrons in Egypt used to be 14 single seat"? Do you mean there were 14 delivered to Egypt? Unfortunately, I don't think we ever saw any Su-35s in Egypt; they never made it there as far as I know and there was never any evidence that any were there except for a very blurry picture of what looked like a type of Flanker doing a vertical climb. But even that we couldn't tell if it was in Egypt anyway. There are also all the crazy ass rumors we all hear and see lol. None of that lunacy should ever be taken seriously, especially from ones who claim to be naval officers yet act like high school girls.
AMCXXL wrote:Will go this Su-35 to Iran ?
That was also a rumor that unfortunately got a lot of people excited but also had no evidence behind it. That would be my 2nd choice for the final destination of those aircraft. But Gary made a good point that those Su-35s would most likely have quite a bit of customized systems for integration with the Egyptian ADS which might not be suitable for Iran. Despite from what I know, Iran also operates similar Russian OTH radars so it's likely there would be some compatibility, but something to consider for sure.

China is producing just as much fighters as the US. J-11 is produced in the hundred, j-10 also, j-20 is said to be over 200 units. wrote:

The Su-57 production would reach his full rate new year as for official announcement, so once they get to it they could also increase it. Su-35 , I didn't knoe: once they get to substitute all the Su-27P as for signed contract , I think it would be wiser to produce Su-30SM2 i stead so that they could act as trainers and as UAV control point.Arrow wrote:

Didn't forgot that S-70 is approaching end of development also.

Re: Su-35S: News #2
Just curious who it was because I remember when this clip first came out and the whole aviation world went nuts with the usual overwhelming admiration, but I never knew who the pilot was considering Russia has some of the most legendary cockpit warriors such as the great Anatoly Kvochur with his incredible flying skills.
It wasn't Viktor Pugachev either from what I know. That maneuver not only showcased Russian pilots' skills as well as their understanding of that super complex cockpit office, but also displayed the tremendous capability of the Su-35S, particularly the thrust produced by the pair of AL-117Ss. Granted the aerodynamics of the Su-35 play a huge part in pulling off something like that, but you always need thrust to get something like that moving again once it's essentially stalled in midair, not to mention upside down to boot. Without the engine power, that would never be possible, certainly not remaining at altitude either.
Who was the pilot and was this ever done again?

Re: Su-35S: News #2
Actually, they might do this as well, but make sure that those aircraft won't fly close to the front.
And how do they do that?
The British clearly stated to Kiev that the Challenger tanks they gave them were to be kept in the west of the country where they could not be destroyed or captured... how did that go?
The US claims the cluster munitions and HIMARS rockets would not be used against civilian targets or targets in Russian territory... how did that go?
For example they might enforce a rule where they only fly those aircraft west of the Dnieper. Similar to how the Soviet Union used the MiG-15 in the Korean War.
They might dictate a rule, but once the Nazis have the planes how do they enforce that?
I wonder whether Russia will increase the annual production of Su-35S and Su-57. If the defense budget increases so much next year, they may increase the pace of production of new fighters.
Is there a shortage of fighters? If there isn't then aren't you hoping for a solution to something that isn't actually a problem?
Anyone know who the pilot was that made this insane maneuver?
Just shows you the advantage of thrust vectoring engines... being able to point your nose where you want to without worrying about stalling or losing control.

The translation from French to English:
[KnAAZ] Photos from July, 2021
The Su-35 is an exported model according to the 08309 fins as an Egyptian Su-35.
3 Egyptian Su-35s in this hall and 08309.
A Su-35 export in flight tests, unless I'm mistaken, the tail cone seems to be modified
To date 10 Egyptian Su-35s

I suppose the question is referring to this pic and in the closeup of it, is the item above the MAWS sensor something other than the usual luminescent formation light strip? Hard to tell but I don't see anything that sticks out on any of the other pics of completed & fully painted aircraft.

Re: Su-35S: News #2
If they decided to they could ramp up MiG-35 production as well... there are plenty of options for them and so far they seem to be making all except the MiGs for the moment.
Compared with the US where they have F-35s in production but it is not fully operational yet with lots of very serious issues to sort out and no clear evidence they are even trying to fix its problems. A couple of F-15s and talk of putting F-16s into production too with F-22s being dead.
Not really very rosy at all actually considering their cheapest plane is 120 million an airframe in the F-35 and likely 150million plus for the F-15... likely more...
In comparison Russian aircraft are a fraction of the price.

The squadron of the VKS combat training center is fully equipped with Su-35 and Su-30SM2
The head of the center, Colonel Alexander Kaziev, noted that recently capable young officers have joined the profit distribution center and are actively involved in the process of mastering new types of weapons and military equipment
MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. One of the squadrons of the 185th center for combat training and combat use of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of the Russian Federation "Ashuluk" (Ashuluk training ground) was equipped with modern Su-35 and Su-30SM2 aircraft. This was announced by the head of the center, Colonel Alexander Kaziev.
“One of our squadrons is fully equipped with modern Su-35 and Su-30SM2 aircraft. Flights also continue on aircraft such as the MiG-29 SMT, received by the center in 2017. In addition, samples of the improved Pantsir series of MANPADS have entered service.” And today one of the important tasks facing the formation’s personnel is mastering new equipment and tactics for its use,” he said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.
He also added that recently capable young officers have arrived at the profit distribution center and have actively become involved in the process of mastering new types of weapons and military equipment (WME). “Youth officers can give even seasoned military masters a head start. Indeed, today almost all new models of weapons and military equipment being introduced are created on the basis of computer technology, which is very suitable for young officers born in the Internet era. So these days, personnel are actively mastering this technology ", Kaziev noted.
The center for combat training and combat use of the Russian Aerospace Forces "Ashuluk" is almost 65 years old. By order of the Ministry of Defense of March 24, 1961, an annual holiday was established to commemorate the formation of the unit. Exercises of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Russian Armed Forces regularly take place here.
