Never assume that those in charge or politicians , either know or plan well for anything . Their brain works in the same way as anyone . The soldiers on the ground can make good or better judgements , about what is needed or what should be done . A lot of this operation is make it up as you go along . Not everything can be planned in advance . Agree with keeping West Ukraine neutral , with external security provided by Russia and border control . Internal security and administration by Ukrainians . Nothing to be given to " Europe " !
Assumptions are the mother of all mistakes.
In problem solving one of the key roles of an investigator is to steer the team from making pre-mature conclussions ie. stop any assupmtions or proposed solutions before the investigation is over. Team members tend to jump ahead of themselves.
For lasting solution you have to have some form of presence in Western UA otherwise you have failed.
If that wasn't an objective then this mess is for nothing.
Shouldn't have ever happened in the first place but here we are sadly.
