Assumptions are the mother of all mistakes.
In problem solving one of the key roles of an investigator is to steer the team from making pre-mature conclussions ie. stop any assupmtions or proposed solutions before the investigation is over. Team members tend to jump ahead of themselves.

For lasting solution you have to have some form of presence in Western UA otherwise you have failed.
If that wasn't an objective then this mess is for nothing.

Considering how focused everyone else is on Europe and its hysteria, the rest of the world looks quite interesting.
China: Basically pro-russian stance, some of the most aggressive rhetoric they've ever put out diplomatically.
India: Maintaining neutrality, if anything pissed off at Ukraine for fucking over the evacuation of Indian citizens (who knew there were that many there?).
Rest of asia: Only South Korea and Japan joining in, with SK still allowing for a bunch of business to happen.
South america: Pretty mum, some vocally for neutrality like Brazil.
Africa: Few colonized states speaking out, but relatively calm.
Middle-east: Either casual support of Russia or neutrality.
Bonus points: Serbia (bros you guys are great), Georgia (holy god you actually can find rational thinking there), Hungary (Orban doing his own thing as always).

That unshakable world alliance of freedom doesn't really look that impressive when you take all into account.
