The western SEAD "concept" works only against fixed AD systems (bombing them for a few weeks and then declare air superiority). Against a modern mobile IADS you have to do it the russian way, hit command and control units, radar sites and launchers as long as they are at their bases, after that hit them as soon as they raise their heads (turn on the radars). There will always be some AD systems left but they can no longer work in a coordinated manner.Belisarius wrote:But remember guys the BBC expert said that the Russians have absolutely 0 SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defences) capability.

In Kherson/Nikolaev and Kharkov area the command, rear services and reserves of the attacking forces have already been decimated or even completely destroyed. They can still move a little bit but they got no chance of keeping the area. In the coming days they will be finished off. End result: another division worth of manpower (the word again ) destroyed for the temporary gain of a few square kilometres.Belisarius wrote:If they capture it, this will be a huge blow to Ukraine amid their “counteroffensive”

To be honest, I'm extremely surprised with this pic.
12 systems are 4-6 batteries.
It is almost a whole brigade.
How a weakened brigade managed to survive so long into this war is unbelievable to me.
Batteries radars are missing here, so maybe this is some kind of storage the Russkie hit?

They have just taken or are on the outskirts/assaulting Starovirivka.
That means in 2 days they pushed over 60km offensive and gained more ground than Russia's campaign has gained in past 4-5months
It is Pretty impressive , again taking into account Russian army is in vostok, and conducting tank biathlons while a SOBR/SWAT team holds off the Ukrainian army- it is impressive for what it is

LRP units were completely massacred. Even Ukrainian videos show not the Russian army but these volunteers.

It's a 300PT version or basically the original. I only count 8 TEL's and there is a radar set in the center. A normal PT version would have a battalion of 8-12 in batteries of 4 each.
