The M-55s are armed with NATO-standard 105mm guns in place of the original 100mm D-10Ts, and have modernized fire control systems and optics, among other improvements, as well as the ability to be equipped with ERA. If this deal goes ahead, Ukraine will have to start receiving NATO-standard 105mm tank ammunition, as well.
That makes more sense... they included 36000 105mm rounds of ammo in the last lot of gifted weapons lists they posted... I assumed 105mm artillery, but tank ammo makes more sense.
Wonder if they will send them good ammo or old expired crap?
Appears to me the leadership have collectively lost their minds, instead of battening the hatches and organising large scale offensives along all fronts, they are instead organising referendums
A referendum means the gloves come off because once they become Russian Federation citizens all attacks and occupation by Kievs forces becomes an occupation and attacks on Russian Federation soil...
Don't worry FP, everything is fine with your post, it just seems to me that sundoesntrise reveals the essence of himself - man lives in darkness...
I got no problem with him living in darkness... the problem is when he tries to spread the darkness...
Such an endearing scene. The battered Kremlin folk consoling themselves that it's the big bad outside world that's after them - and not simply the end result of 7 months of coping, lying, manipulating, willfully misrepresenting and deceiving.
What is the matter... did you get your draft papers?
I only brought it up because it is more anecdotal evidence that Russia is outnumbered by a large margin on the battlefield
That is just to be expected though isn't it?
Let's just wait. Putin shouldnt even take Macrons call. There is nothing to discuss
He could tell him he had 8 years to talk to Kiev and sort it out peacefully and instead he decided to complain that Russia had not followed the agreement... despite there being no requirements or objectives for Russia in Minsk I or Minsk II.
The magic word is...CONSCRIPTS
The text you quoted did not include the word Conscripts... the number of professional soldiers in the Russian military means they likely don't have to use any conscripts at all anyway... even with quite a serious numbers escalation.
Kadyrov announced a change of tactics of the special operation in Ukraine
"We are no longer going to mess around with them (the Ukrainian armed forces). He discussed all the details together with Magomed Daudov, head of the Chechen Republic's operational headquarters for 1/2
Perhaps industrial strength stain removers are going to be more vigorously applied to that blue and yellow fabric...
It is not hasty. There is talk about these votes for months now.
Also a bit consistent too... Russia recognised the Donbass and Lugansk autonomous regions as independent because Kiev refused to discuss their autonomy, which then enabled Russia to act when Kiev next attacked (shelled) those regions, which justified the SMO.
Well if these regions decide to join the Russian Federation, and the Russian Federation accepts their application then they become part of Russia so any further attacks by Kiev supported by the west is an attack on Russia... their hands are free and all options to defend are on the table to use a stupid western expression... including nuclear weapons BTW.
The referendum is for next week so no mobilization before it officially becomes a russian land.
Takes more than just a referendum... the Russian Federation has to accept them as new territories.
Does anyone here really think Ukraine cares about attacking Russia in some way, given that they have been shooting stuff over the border around Belgorod and other places, and in Crimea since the beginning? It will make no difference at all for Ukraine or probably even NATO who do not recognize Crimea and the potential new republics.
It escalates things... now Russia is fighting a foreign force attacking Russian Federation territory... they have already done that, but this means they can escalate and use a lot more force and more ordinance to level more enemy resources and do more damage.
Your making it sound like the ukrainians will be sane and rational when certain regions become a part of Russia and thinking those areas wont be attacked by Ukraine.
Not yet... only if a group of moderates overthrow Zelensky... but lets face it... the CIA probably eliminated the moderates so there will only be more extremists, but Russia cannot reasonably negotiate with anyone anywhere near power at the moment.
Obviously you didn't get the point of my post, nor did Alamo. Did you think I was saying that what the US did in Afghanistan was right? Lol
And their response is... this is war... shit happens... you can't save everyone... losing large numbers of soldiers trying to save them means civilians are going to die anyway... whether it is nazis or the battle the Russian soldiers and the nazis fight for the territory.
"Our positions are not changed by noise and announcements from somewhere, and our partners fully support us on that," Zelensky said in a video address.
Your position has not changed... since 2014... you are going to send your troops to Russias border and murder all the people in the Donbass and Lugansk and if you can the Crimea as well... which is why we are where we are.
Great news y'all. Foreigners are now eligible for service in the RAF, with the reward of Russian citizenship after finishing a twelve month stint.
I can only imagine the excitement some on this board must be feeling upon hearing this news. You can help! No longer are you restricted to venting your dissatisfaction online, you can now help in the field securing the Victory that your new Motherland desires to bring about that Multipolar World Order.
I assume that it's going to be quiet on the board after this statement, but it's for the greater good. Do not hesitate sign up now!
Bytheway has anyway seen Gaz lately? Or is he already on route to Wellington Airport?
Your level of expertise they will promote you immediately to Shoigus job... no mistake...
So I have no unnecessary illusions: so far, much suggests that Russia is strategically losing in this confrontation. If we do not have real allies who will help us in this confrontation, and not hide fearfully, not daring to confront the collective West, then Russia will most likely be completely drained of blood after a few years of this conflict. I hope I'm wrong, but this is my feeling right now.
You are entering a different phase of this conflict, and I suspect it is going to become rather more costly for the western and northern parts of the Ukraine as well as much more dangerous on the front line for the enemy.
Putin does not put Russian soldiers lives at risk for fun... it took 8 years to get him to bite in Ukraine and in Syria the tactics used protect the lives of Russian soldiers as best is possible, but I think now tactics in the Ukraine are going to be more brutal, but more brutal in the west and north where the civilians are more hostile to getting rid of their nazi element.
Russian Defense Minister clarifies that partial mobilization is limited to those who
• have served in the army;
• have a military occupational specialty;
• have combat experience.
Have combat experience means special forces around the world or combat experience in Ukraine or Crimea or Syria or NK or South Ossetia...
But lose a war and your troubles won't stop there. Ask the Libyans how they lived during Qaddafi and after him.
Which is why the 5th columnists think getting rid of Putin and Shoigu are good ideas for Russia of course...
“The legal status of volunteers and militiamen of Donbass should be the same as that of regular Russian military personnel” - Putin
"Issues of supply and maintenance of the People's Militia and volunteer units of Donbass must be resolved immediately and provided at the highest level." - Putin
Ratnik 2 gear for them?
For all we know half of these people could be pilots and ground crew and they are going to go hardcore all out on enemy AD equipment and then artillery and then everything else...
