Sources claim there is a version of the guided glide kit for heavier bombs.
The drag is only an issue as long as the bomb is on the plane. These bombs were designed for
old piston-engine bombers and the first jet bombers, all of which had internal weapons bays so
drag was no issue at all. Carrying them under the wing reduces the range of the plane, maybe
the cruise speed has to be lower as well. But for the dropped bombs there should be no problem
for the guidance kit to bring her home.

Seriously, I do see the difference - the thing delivers a punch on pair with Iskander, at fraction of the cost.
Called very accurate, surely won't hit moving targets that Iskander is capable of, but again it is not a Wunderwaffe.

First is fab-1500-2600ts. Web sources call it upab 1500 and seems to be a gliding bomb, no fins or wings though so highly unlikely to be the case.

Second pic is fab-500. This shape is used for high explosive and concrete piercing versions. So can be both.

Last is artillery rounds.

Yeah but at the same time , the wunderwaffe meme is more about the inferior party in the war , trying to use a wonder weapon to make up the difference in their inferiority. Which isn't the case here.

In the Kupyansk direction, assault and army aviation strikes and artillery fire of the "Western" grouping of troops defeated enemy units in the areas of Dvurechnaya, Peschanoye and Masyutovka in the Kharkiv region. In addition, in the areas of Novoselovskoye, Artemivka of the Luhansk People's Republic and Pershotravneve of the Kharkiv region, the actions of three sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Ukrainian armed forces were suppressed. During the day more than 50 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored fighting vehicles, two vehicles, as well as a US-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar station were destroyed in this direction.

The Kiev regime deliberately destroys its servicemen with artillery fire to prevent attempts to abandon their positions and retreat under the onslaught of Russian forces.
