Does T55 have NBC ( especially chemical filters ) protection ? If so then for this reason alone , it is useful to have . Do other vehicles have protection ? I see no gas masks in the photo of Russian troops or trenches . Important because , there are indications that they are a factor now . Iranians must have a lot of gas masks , left over from Saddam war days . Also are the western forces that participate directly in war against Russia , legal or illegal combatants ? Are they as such , eligible for Geneva convention ? Last I looked , war was not declared or discussed against Russia , by any western state parliament ! What to be done with them if captured ?

There were the same mixed messages before the Ukrainians advanced on Kherson. Casting doubt on its prospects, saying it will be too costly. But in the end they did it when they noticed the Russians were leaving anyway and in fact nearly gone. But the key thing is that they decided to do it without warning or any further rumours.

I don't say it will be same this time, as unlike in the Kharkov region or Kherson, the Russians aren't leaving anywhere.
But all these noises and rumours mean rather nothing. The Ukraine understands the value of operational surprise.

I think the leaks are real. But a lot of the information in those slides is based on poor quality sources like the Ukrainian MoD's publicly released numbers. It is still interesting to see how the US top military brass decide things based on such shoddy information.

I doubt the US intelligence services believe these numbers though.

Such drones are nasty but the warhead is very small. You need to be very precise to destroy a vehicle by hitting the fuel tank or the inside like those tanks that let their hatches open and receive a grenade.

Most military armored vehicles can sustain a grenade explosion easily.

Lancet like are way better with longer range and much better heat warhead.

However I would underestimate those drones. They can be a real danger for infantry and light vehicles.

Minutes ago, RWA said fighting had already reached Liberators of Donbass street (or as the Ukrainians renamed it recently, "Defenders of Ukraine street", whatever), which is roughly by the Georgian flag in the center of the above image.

They have sources on the ground, but I don't know, that would indicate a rapid collapse of remaining UA defenses tonight.

It's surprising that they can't take such city in two days. They have the advantage of aviation and artillery and ukros are hiding in normal houses.

One shell or one bomb or even one kornet should be enough to clean any house building where they spot ukros.

Just keep SU-34s circling high over head with FAB 500 glide bombs and a couple of FAB 1500s. When the boys meet resistance. Vaporize it.

I'm not even sure many in US army itself would be up for doing this especially they won't have air support.

Without air support they would struggle and with air support then Russian Air Defence is going to a be a real issue.

That option should never be the case with Russia unless something has gone very wrong.

They don't store them as museum pieces... they store them to be used... if they have found some uses for them ...what is the problem?

Doesn't really matter if it is true or not because no matter what Russia needs to be prepared for anything, including a counter attack, but also no counter attack.

The Russians have better information than most of the wests public who get their information from western media and telegram.

They have been fighting years in that place... those cockroaches are endemic and not going to leave on their own.
