Depending on the military rank, position and length of service, contract soldiers in the area of the special operation to protect the Donbass will receive from 204 thousand rubles per month. Such information was published by the Russian Defense Ministry in the Telegram channel on Friday, May 5.

The report notes that when concluding a contract for a period of one year or more, an amount of 195 thousand rubles will be paid in a lump sum.

The minimum monetary motivation of a platoon commander-a squad leader-is 242 thousand rubles per month, a squad leader-232 thousand rubles, and a staff instructor-226 thousand rubles.

The head of the radio station of the command and staff vehicle will receive from 226 thousand rubles, the senior sapper - from 216 thousand rubles, the grenade launcher operator - from 211 thousand rubles, cooks or drivers - from 211 thousand rubles.

That looks to be pretty good money, the injury and death payments are good as well, certainly compared to the UK. The Russian state is certainly looking after its soldiers.

Wonder what the Wagner payments are by comparison.

This is why he says and does what he does. Encouraging the mad UA to send more into the jaws of death. At this stage the numbers are astonishing.

NEWS UPDATE BAKHMUT
Prigozhin confirms my earlier estimate that around 500 ukrainian soldiers a day are transported into Bakhmut in 50-70 APC:s. He actually said 400-600, but that's near enough....

He also said that ukrainian losses are about at the same level as reinforcements every day. If that's true UkrAF loose, as KIA/WIA, around 10 percent of their force in Bakhmut every day.

UkrAF has about 5000 soldiers within Bakhmut and 10 000 soldiers on the flanks. I don't know if Prigozhin talks about the city or the Bakhmut area, but since he talks about reinforcements into the city I assume he talks about the city, when he talks about ukrainian losses.

500 casualties a day is a good reason for the Russian Generals to prolong the Battle of Bakhmut as long as possible. But it is certain that PCM Wagner's fighters do not see it in the same way and Prigozhin, as the leader and cohesiveness of the group, must stage this discrepancy.

Today, three Russian pilots were returned from Ukrainian captivity. It was possible to rescue them as a result of a complex negotiation process. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

At the moment, the officers are receiving the necessary medical and psychological assistance. Soon, the released soldiers will be taken to medical facilities of the Russian Defense Ministry.

The military department stressed that the pilots in captivity were in mortal danger.

NOTE: they have been trying to get these guys back for months. No reporting on what they had to give in return.

If the intention was to take territory then completing the encirclement would be a priority... if the intention was to grind then leave it open and let them feed more troops and weapons and ammo into the kill zone and keep on killing.

The front line in Zaporozhe happens to be about 160km long. Let's see what the Russian defensive scheme looks like with it applied.

It even fits closely into the known Russian obstacle belts. I assume (reasonably) there's a less visible mine belt along the contact line.

On Artemovsk throughout the day:

1. Wagner Reinforcements; Despite recent claims by Prigozhin that the responsibility of the liberation of the remaining area of Artemovsk will be under the jurisdiction of the Russian Ministry of Defense and Akhmat Forces. Throughout the day, large reinforcements coming from Southern Russia under the Wagner Group banner entered the area of Artemovsk; this mean are most likely new recruits. The number of reinforcements is large, although can not be estimated.

2. Shelling; throughout the day; Wagner increased artillery shelling (despite an alleged artillery shortage) by an extreme percentage, despite Prigozhin claiming that none of his calls were answered by the MOD. In the early hours of the morning, Wagner were able to completely level the remaining sector under AFU control with phosphorus munitions which prevented rotation and caused a large amount of havoc for the Ukrainians. The usage of phosphorous munitions on this scale were recorded over 124 times thoroughout the day. Similarly, thousands of artillery rounds were fired.

3. Advances; Wagner advances were around 250m throughout the day, and Airborne Forces advanced around 70m, the AFU voluntarily withdrew from atleast 20m nearby to the Jehovah's Witness Temple. Only 2.40% of the city remains under Ukrainian control. Continued withdrawal of Ukrainian Artillery units from the Khromove Area to the quarters of Chasovoy Yar suggest that the AFU are preparing to leave the city altogether. The signs are here.

Wagner is a PMC that needs a good results and PR to grant future contracts.

Russian MoD needs an effective tool to deprive Ukrs of force, simply speaking by killing them.

Artemovsk is a central part of the struggle at the moment, absorbing hundreds of Ukro reinforcements daily.
From this perspective, the goals of Wagner and MoD differ.
The longer this slaughter will last, the more Ukrs will be SPAMed.
But on the other side, it seems to damage Wagner's opinion.
Actually, that is very stupid, but you know how public opinion works - it is stupid most f the time.
They proved hell of effectiveness in urban warfare.
So Wagner's owner's goal is to blame someone/something for a lack of spectacular success.
Let it be an insufficient supply of ammo.

I will repeat, if Germany and France had 1000 cruise missiles each, they could destroy AT LEAST a quarter of each other's planes. This is just an example, nothing more.
At least that much, while the rest would have perished in a collision between two air forces or from air defense, or from sabotage or for various other reasons..
The only question is WHAT will they fight with each other when they are left without those planes ?
And those FAIRY TALES about how 500 or 500+ kg aerial bombs are crucial are just fairy tales, considering the HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of thousands of artillery shells fired in Ukroshtistan.

There is NO serious military formation in Europe outside of Poland and Greece.
Turkey is the third example, but also a country on two continents, just like Russia.

For God's sake, imagine that Ukroshitstan has weapons like 3M14 Kalibr, 9M723 Iskander and 9M729 Iskander, H47M2 Kinzhal, H-101 and H-55, etc.
In that case NO single base in the Western Military District or the Southern Military District would be safe.
Then we would watch how Ukroshitstan destroy Russian factories, the Russian energy sector, as well as capital buildings in Moscow or SP.

With 1000 cruise missiles they can destroy all the fighters they have. They have less than 200 both. You could have enough to target all bases with at least 2 missiles and even AD system which can be counted on your hands.

Special Forces "Akhmat" is ready to move to Artyomovsk (Ukrainian name - Bakhmut), several units have already headed towards the special operation, said the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov.

Kadyrov in his Telegram announced that he had signed a letter addressed to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief about his readiness to return Artyomovsk and clear it of "NATO and Ukrainian Satanists by the forces of the Akhmat units." Currently, the fighters are waiting for the appropriate order and have already begun to develop an action strategy together with the Ministry of Defence.

The head of Chechnya added that several units had already moved in the direction of conducting a special operation. He expressed confidence that the fighters would liberate the city, despite reports of "some kind of terrible counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

Earlier, the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that an agreement had been reached with the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, to transfer the positions in Artyomovsk (the Ukrainian name is Bakhmut) to the Akhmat special forces units at midnight on May 10.

Ukr. Air Force is claiming a Kinzhal kill via Patriot.

This could be their good propaganda "news" for this period. After all the fuss Ukraine needs some sort of victory. Bakhmut seems a no go, their remote strikes seem ineffective, the counteroffensive seems unsure, V-Day is nearing, I believe this is a backup story if they don't manage to achieve anything in next 3 days which seems likely.

Ukraine have stated that they have no capability to shoot down hypersonic missiles this would include Kinzhal. So I would suggest this is another Ukrainian BS story.

I highly doubt Wagner will be going anywhere after this war they are a useful tool for the Russian government getting involved in small scale conflicts around the globe in the guise of mercenaries it's a useful tool for any government. The bonus here is the experience they will have gained in Ukraine.
