Sounds cheap.  Russian hotels are generally overpriced even by western standards.   There are too few of
them and the demand is too high.

22USD a night + breakfast, rest of the hotels infrastructure free of charge, Olympic hotel Moscow, 4 stars for a week, last year.

It looks like Kerch bridge is now connected from both sides with the central bow.

Saw a report a week ago saying workers can walk from one side to the other.

Rail bow is the second one. For now they connect road bridge with the bow. Rail bridge is now in a process of building pylons and it will be finnished one year later than road bridge.

Little news but worth mentioning as its a rather big deal imo:

Krymenergo performs works on connection of the Simferopol thermal power plant to the power system of the Crimea

Crimea and ex-Ukrainian/Black Sea regions integration into RF - Page 15 L1Cjrah

They are going to connect the power plant in Simferopol to the rest of Crimea. This is a rather great idea on how to redistribute electricity around while they are currently working on other power plants. Keeps things stable.

According to a colleague diana_mihailova , Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Colonel-General Mikhail Koval, who was Acting Minister of Defense of Ukraine from March to July 2014, during testimony in the Obolonsky District Court of Kyiv on the case of the "treason" of the former president Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych quoted figures of the number of servicemen of the Ukrainian armed forces and other Ukrainian law enforcement agencies who refused to leave the Crimea during its accession to the Russian Federation in 2014.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine (then numbered in the Crimea) - 15,468 troops, the National Guard - 2,560, the State Border Service - 1970, the SBU, the officers - 1614, the UGO - 527, the State Space Agency - 274 servicemen.

From February to May 2014 on the mainland of Ukraine came from all of these 20,315 people, totaling 6010 military personnel, including 3990 Ukrainian Armed Forces, 1177 National Guard, 579 SSUs, 242 SBUs, 20 UGOs, and 60 State Space Agency.

I own such figures, "he said. Koval, responding to questions from Yanukovych's lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk about how many servicemen became a faithful [Ukrainian] sworn in Crimea.

% of Ukrainian Forces in Crimea that remained loyal.

    Armed Forces - 25.8%
    National Guard - 43.6%
    Border Guard - 29.4%
    SBU (Security Service) - 15%
    UGO (Guard Service?) - 3.8%
    Space - 21.9%

Looks like maybe May for wheeled transport. Rail will be either very late this year or first half of next year.

There are always regular updates on the bridge construction here (in Russian mind you)

Updates in English, not as frequent but still pretty good:

Boss was in this AO yesterday. Inspected the bridge and still says possibly May the wheeled transport part will be open. He was also in this berg for the anniversary of our referendum etc and then Simferopol to inspect the aerodrome. We were in Sim arranging for machine parts to be manufactured and on the way back to our berg, the boss man's convoy went the other way.

Ride across 10 km of Crimea bridge (more than half the overall length), 6 months ahead of schedule most likely, 3 lanes in each direction apparently (2 standard + 1 emergency)

The railway is planned to be completed in 2019. There was never any claim for concurrent delivery. I bet the railway infrastructure at both
ends is underdeveloped so there is no point working on a rapid schedule.

This Video must be fake. You know... Obongo told us, that Russia isn´t producing anything. And the Country is so corrupt. How could they build a 19 km long bridge faster than Germany can build a Airport next to it´s capital?

The Banderastanis were adamant that it was impossible for Russia to build this bridge. Being untermenschen and all.

Now that it is a reality, the want to sue anyone using it. Retards like their western masters.
