Israel was shocked by Hamas attack . The planning for this attack ? Why take hostages for demands , if you already close the avenue for negotiations by killings ?

They took hostages because Israel would use any excuse to murder them all... Hamas and their allies and their civilians as well because they ultimately want to exterminate them anyway at the end of the day, so having Israeli citizens hostage prevents them just carpet bombing Gaza without care.
