American and British ships in the Barents Sea

The ship’s strike group includes three American destroyers of the Arleigh Burke type, equipped with the AEGIS integrated multifunctional weapon system - DDG 75 Donald Cook, DDG 78 Porter and DDG 80 Roosevelt. The group also includes the American integrated supply ship T-AOE 6 Supply and the British frigate F 78 Kent type 23.
According to bmpd colleagues,
this is the first entrance to the U.S. Navy surface warship squad in the Barents Sea since the mid-1980s.On May 6, 2020, the press service of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Navy announced that the missile cruiser of project 1164 “Marshal Ustinov” left the main base of the Northern Fleet - Severomorsk in the Barents Sea to work out the planned tasks of combat training ... The firing area will be closed for shipping and flight aviation. "It is noted that the launch of a missile cruiser at sea will last several days. The crew will perform a series of artillery firing at sea and air targets at the naval training ranges of the fleet.
