Looks as if the exercise off Ireland may have finished early, or this little group left early.

A rarity on AIS, but message is clear and out. It is highly unusual for a Russian Navy combat ship to be on AIS, one or two who do, other than the auxiliaries who tend to be more on AIS.
Here is the 'Marshal Ustinov' now in the Mediterranean.
(not surprising to me really).

Re: Russian Navy: Status and News #6
Now confirmed, the Northern Fleet Ropucha are about to enter the Black Sea, the Baltic Fleet Ropucha and Ivan Gren probably tomorrow and apparently the Rostov on Don Kilo a few days after as she finally, after an 11 month holiday in the Med following her maintenance in the Baltic.
Travelling as a group.
The ships will pass north over several days. The first package will consist of the three Ropucha class ships: Minsk (127), Korolev (130) and Kaliningrad (102). Based on information shared with Naval News the second package is expected to follow on February 9th. This will consist of Pyotr Morgunov (117) and two Ropucha class ships Georgy Pobedonosets (016) and Olenegorsky Gornyak (012). The submarine, KILO Class boat Rostov-na-Donu (B-237) will follow on February 11th.
Meanwhile the Pacific Fleet’s Slava, Varyag, transited the Suez Canal into the Mediterranean on February 2nd. So that is two Slava Class cruisers in the Mediterranean. Both cruisers are accompanied by other warships, many equipped with cruise missiles. Together with the Kilo Class submarines in Tartus, these may be seen as a direct counter to NATO carrier battle groups there.

A new stealth warship-submarine hybrid unveiled in Russia
A military design bureau in Russia showed digital images of the larger, upgraded model of its stealth combat surface ship-submarine hybrid on Wednesday.
Dubbed ‘Strazh’ (‘the Guardian’), the vessel “combines surface and underwater features,” and can spot enemies with its powerful radar and approach them unnoticed, the Rubin Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering in St. Petersburg told RIA Novosti.
Rubin unveiled the first, smaller version of the vessel, which operates both as a patrol ship and a submarine, early last year. The newer model is 72 meters long (236ft) and can travel at speeds of up to 21 knots.
Strazh is equipped with a gun turret, two guided missile launchers, four torpedo tubes, and a drone. The model shown last year was designed for a crew of up to 42. Its overall layout is similar to the Soviet-era Whiskey-class submarines, Rubin said.
Rubin said the vessel, marketed overseas as BOSS (Border and Offshore Submersible Sentry), will be cost-effective amid cuts to military spending during the Covid-19 pandemic, and can be tailored to foreign buyers.
The company did not specify if it had a working prototype or a rollout timeline.

Re: Russian Navy: Status and News #6
Interesting concept, would want to know more about sensors and weapons though... certainly for small countries that could be dealing with opponents with more powerful navies a patrol boat that is also an SSK might be interesting, because a patrol boat would be vulnerable, but an SSK less so.
Could be quite interesting with the right gun and the right missile armament, but would be heavily reliant on drones for situational awareness though.

Hey I speculated about such a ship less then a year ago. It makes perfect sense. No need to dive that deep, and much less vulnerable to radar.

Is it just me or are those ships sitting much "higher" in the water? Looks like they lost a lot of weight on their long and "arduous" journey?

Its not just you. Its a difficult call but it seems that when they are properly underway the wash on the sides seems to be higher up the sides of the ship.
Compare the videos of the same ships transiting the Bosporus with them in the harbour.
Earlier I thought, from the first pictures in the Baltic, that they had a heavy load on but now I suspect they were sailing pretty empty the whole time.

Yes very hard to tell. Although this picture was taken from a beach it does look kind of on the heavy side though?
I guess we'll never know

Its the angle that is the problem, a few meters higher and it changes.

It started with full tanks and arrived with pretty much all of it burned which also changes it weight.
However they for sure provided some gifts to Hmeimim.
Tactical nuks must have been provided to all advanced bases.

Not really. It's just a normal move since all the build up around ukraine is to deter NATO attacks. Having nuclear assets in Syria to have the pissibility to attack their southern flank and the Bosphorus is a normal step.

It is like Russian forces inside their own territory near the Ukraine... it is not aggressive and not intended to escalate, but would be irresponsible if they weren't prepared for Kiev or US to do something stupid... it is their job to protect and that is what they are doing.
