BBC liars exposed once again.

The BBC reports that Russia is suffering from a wave of emigration among middle-class professionals in a story dated 2 October under the heading “Russia brain drain after Putin crackdown”. The facts tell a different story.

As a skeptic of what the BBC writes about Russia and since human resources is one of my areas of expertise, I decided to check the facts. And it turned out just as I had expected. It is the BBC’s editorial team not Russia that seems to be suffering from a brain drain, nay, a hemorrhage. The facts just do not back up the story and rather prove that the opposite is true.

It is always funny to read these. People always use anecdotal evidence which isn't real evidence. BBC has been caught lying plenty of times.

Really funny. But one thing I would like is to get the link to this persons data. I have read BBC and no data from them.

I think these are mostly temporary worker (gastarbeiter) movements. The net migration
figure is probably 10 times smaller. But I would need to dig through the data if I could find it.

This thread should be closed as it is full of misleading facts about Russia's population. The number of ethnic Russians is going down drastically and the number of dark skinned people from Asia is increasing by the hour. Primarily because Asians have a reputation of re producing like dogs.

Since the majority of forum members have never been anywhere close to Russia they are willing to believe these who post stories in the media of how Russia's ethnic population is increasing.

Actually the number of migrant workers from the CIS Muslim republics has hugely reduced this year.

New red-tape, taxes in their way, and also the fact that the rouble has fallen, so their remitances back home are worth less.

But the ones who did stay/return are now demanding higher wages/indexation as a result of the rouble's fall. Good on them. Hopefully with a more manageable amount of immigrants, a greater proportion of whom are legal immigrants - the government will have an easier time organizing them, providing them incentives and opportunties to work in those region where labour is needed. Also hopefully other programs; for education, specialization, Russian-language study, some subsidized housing maybe upon acquiring work.

Makes no difference. There are millions of dark skinned migrants in Russia. They are reproducing at a rate double that of ethnic Russians. At this rate,in another 10 years Russia will become predominantly dark skinned just like UK.
