At a minimum, President Biden must unleash American air power to destroy every Taliban fighter in the vicinity of Kabul until we can save our fellow Americans. Anything less will further confirm Joe Biden’s impotence to the world.

#US spent $88 billion dollars training 300,000 Afghan Army for 20 years and it has collapsed in one week, less than the Iraqi army's collapse for the obvious reason: Iraqi Army members were trained only for 11 years and collapsed in 3 days.

    The proportion is quite right.

It looks like the US/UK left it too late to get those large numbers of troops into Kabul, just a few hundred. Mind you it looks like they aren't needed.

"US elites are melting down over Afghanistan because they don't like being humiliated. They see this defeat as a destabilizing threat to their own legitimacy at home & won't forgive Biden until he gives them a new war, which he almost surely will. Dangerous times ahead for all.

Can't count how many times I've seen establishment psychos throwing around Nietzschebabble like "we lack political willpower". When the US ruling class starts blathering about the need to demonstrate their will-to-power, a lot of innocent people are going to die."

He certainly messed up by making those bold comments on Kabul no way falling to the Taliban for at least 60 to 90 days and then just 3 days ago, while watching the Taliban Blitzkrieg unfold in front of the entire world, tell a reporter the same thing again about Kabul and not seeing a Saigon in the remaking. Clearly he either had bad intel -- which I highly doubt -- or he didn't believe them which I also highly doubt. So while Trump signed the bill to evacuate all US forces from Afghanistan, Biden definitely will have to shoulder the blame for the tremendous failure of those particular statements.

Biden is responsible for this. Biden is responsible for the massacre of Afghans. He could've reversed course. . He made the call and he has said that he has no regrets. This is on him

So it's up to the US to defend Afghan from itself forever?

No its not, we gave them the ability to stop this. Blame the tratiors in the military for ordering their men to just surrender and run away.

Not my countries or militaries job to baby sit people who clearly have no desire to fight their own battles but rely on us to do it.

20 years, we trained 300k men, we gave them everything they needed. America helped out Aghanistain enough.

    300k in 20 years for a 40mln country?
    Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
Are you trying to entertain us all here?
With Afghan population size - 40 mln, and its structure - well below 20 y/o - they should be able to conscript a 100k men a year voluntary based.
For Poland - similar in size and double the age population structure - the goal is to deliver z 17+k territorial army soldiers each year.
    A YEAR.
And we still have a regular army, and not at war!
In WarPac times, our population was 35mln, army was 350k strong, and steadily replaced with double the year conscript, making the yearly conscript number close to 250k, leaving the professional officer and sergeants cadre.
The numbers you provide - if we combine those with close to $90 bln expenditures - is just another face of total failure.
A corruption operation put on the outrageous stage and size.
    Just like the Iraq.

    300k in 20 years ... seriously ... ? lol1 lol1
