Could it know it is targeted by patriot with this system ? Targeted not detected.

The pilot should have known there is patriot right there since russian have elint assests in syria so he probably didn't know he was targeted. Maybe they can lock on the the plane only few sec before the hit.

What a Face  I can't believe they're stupid enough to try it at this stage of the war.  What a Face
    https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/several-militant-groups-in-syria-planning-offensive-russian-reconciliation-center/
Militants from several groups, including Jabhat al-Nusra (outlawed in Russia) are planning an offensive on positions of Syrian government troops, concentrating forces simultaneously on several directions, the chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties, Major General Alexei Tsygankov, told reporters on Wednesday.

“According to available information, the leaders of Hayyat Tahrir Ahrar al-Sham, Jabhat Tahrir Suriya (formed as merger of Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement and Ahrar al-Sham), Suqour al-Sham and Falak al-Sham agreed to set up joint operational headquarters to conduct an attack on positions of government forces,” the general said.

[/Large groups have concentrated simultaneously on several directions – mountains of northern Latakia, al-Ghab valley on the border of Hama and Idlib provinces and areas west of Aleppo,” he said.

And Syria is already secular and democratic..contrary to the Totalitarian apartheid state of Israel . Iran will stay there as long is needed by Syria..

Nothing to do with most if not all of the important ISIS commanders and operatives now safely out of the area dressed as White Helmets leaving demoralised gun fodder. Yup claimed 50% dead.

Well Assad turned down the kurds request for regional Automony

    kinda stupid of him IMO.

Provided the kurds agreed to have any foreign military power leave, hand over control of the oil fields and give up their weapons.

That was a good deal for him.
