I did post about the Russian airforce SU-30s intercepting Israeli aircraft which had been reported by the infowars website ... I know they are not the best source of info

in the UK attitudes have changed towards Russia and Vladimir Putin he is seen in more favourable light regardless what the media and politicians are saying ... social media is full of praise in Russia's campaign again isis and are questioning the role Nato has played in the past year or so

Buyan M corvettes are the only ships with cruise missiles in Caspitan fleet... and they use 3M54 Club. Land attack variant 3M14T should have quite significant range, by some reports even around 1500km. But each Buyan can carry only 8 of them and only 3 Club capable ships exist in Caspian fleet... Grad Sviyazhsk, Uglich and Veliki Ustyug carry them to my knowledge.

Russian Warships in Caspian Sea Launch Attack on ISIL in Syria

Russian warships have launched a total of 26 cruise missiles at Islamic State facilities, destroying all targets.

Russian warships have attacked Islamic State targets in Syria, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Wednesday during a meeting with President Putin.

“Besides using aviation to destroy militants, this morning ships from the Caspian Flotilla were brought in, four destroyers launched 26 Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles at 11 targets,” Shoigu told Putin in a meeting televised by Rossiya-1.

All targets were destroyed, Shoigu said. “The fact that we launched high-precision [cruise] missiles from the Caspian Sea at approximately 1,500 kilometers [932 miles] and hit all of the targets says much about the good training in the military-industrial complex and good skills of the staff,” he added.

President Putin expressed his gratitude to the pilots operating in airstrikes against the Islamic State in Syria. "Special thanks is due to the pilots who are operating in Syria, as well as the sailors from the Caspian Flotilla for their use of high-precision weapons," he said.

Putin praised the Russian military operation against ISIL in Syria, but warned against early conclusions. "We know how difficult such anti-terrorism operations are, and, of course, it is too early to draw conclusions. But what has been done so far certainly deserves a highly positive assessment, both the work of the Ministry of Defense as a whole, the work of General Staff experts, and our officers, soldiers operating on the scene," he said.

On September 30, Russia began airstrikes on ISIL in Syria following Syrian President Bashar Assad's request for military assistance.

"From September 30 to this day, airstrikes have been carried out against 112 targets, their intensity is increasing," Defense Minister Shoigu said.

“Twenty-three strike aircraft this morning continued to carry out airstrikes against militant positions. Since the 30th [of September], 19 command controls, 12 arms depots, 71 pieces of hardware, plants and shops for manufacturing explosive devices that are packed in vehicles. Six of these shops have been destroyed,” he specified.

Russian airstrike at Al-Lataminah. Probably recent as the video is only just uploaded within the last hour. I'm beginning to notice that this source seems to be filming at the right place at the right time as if they know what is about to happen, and yet it is a rebel source. Perhaps they have people filming the skies all the time simply waiting, don't know.

except the ships mentioned above, only Project 22350 and Project 11356 will have Kalibr missiles and these classes havent been commissioned yet. So no that could be in Med has those missiles to fire

Because missiles fly over Iran and Iraq to their targets instead over Turkey or other NATO members.

Theoretically could Black sea fleet launch them from their two Buyan-M ships and from Kilo submarines.

This night the ship strike group of the Russian Navy consisting of the Dagestan missile ship, the small-sized missile ships Grad Sviyazhsk, Uglich, Veliky Ustyug launched cruise missiles against ISIS infrastructural facilities in Syria from the assigned district of the Caspian Sea.

The firing was conducted by high-precision ship missile systems Kalibr NK, the cruise missiles of which engaged all the assigned targets successfully and with high accuracy. The missile ship Dagestan (project 11661) was the flag ship of the ship strike group. Its displacement constitutes about 2 000 tons, its length is over 100 meters. The ship is equipped with a modern high-accuracy missile system Kalibr NK capable of engaging targets by cruise missiles located on all the territory of Syria with the accuracy of up to 3 meters. The cruise missiles fly at the altitudes of up to 50 meters following the terrain.

The missile ship Dagestan is capable of task performance at the distance of 4 000 km from the permanent base.

The displacement of small-sized missile ships Grad Sviyazhsk, Uglich, Veliky Ustyug (project 21631) is 1 000 tons, their length is over 70 meters. The main strike weapon of the ships of this type is the Kalibr NK high-precision ship missile system, which allows to engage targets day and night in bad hydrometeorological conditions.
