That makes sense. Use Smerch. 300 mm. 90 km. That's nothing planes can do Smerch cannot.

Actually it doesnt, MANPADs are present in Syria since beinning, Strela 2M was seen in quantities. And trust me there is no way you are going to compare 300mm MLRS warhead with 500kg laser guided bomb.

The claims of Russian 'withdrawal' from Syria mask other things happening in the region. Russia has also opened a showcase for Mig-29s in Erevan, Armenia, close to the Turkish borders.

    https://z5h64q92x9.net/proxy_u/ru-en.en/bmpd.livejournal.com/1789414.html

A video of the opening day ceremony - notice some familiar brown uniforms worn by the ground crew at 0:03 onwards. The Russians presented the Armenians with a photo of a Mig-29 taking off with Mount Ararat in the background.

No need for planes. Just use Smerch. Smerch can shoot from Latakia city all the way to Idlib city.

Concerning, the mission was to destroy ISIS and the other head lopping lunatics. They have been weakened in many areas and ways but not gone. I would prefer to see them remain for a considerable longer time. Hope a vacuum is not created and filled by the Americans. On the face it of it, it appears the Russians have bowed to the US.

If Trump is elected Russia must withdraw from Syria or else WWIII will start because Trump says he will deploy 30,000 US troops to Syria to fight IS.

Putin confirms withdrawal of aircraft from Syria. Looks like the fight against IS is over. Which is strange. Considering IS blew up a Russian airliner and killed hundreds of passengers in cold blood.

    http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/51512

Everyone knows, without Russian air support, SAA cannot take back Qaryatain or Palmyra.

Thank goodness Putin was not leader of Russia in WW2 or else Russia would have lost to Nazis and Russia would not exist today.

Trump is an American. He is for the interest of America. America and Russia are the top 2 powers. The Chinese have an old saying. There cannot be two tigers on the same mountain. Eventually one of these two tigers will kill the other one. Either America kills Russia, or Russia kills America. Right now it's America on the attack, working through Georgia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Ukraine, taking down Libya, taking down Syria, trying to turn Iran, China, India against Russia. The first step is isolation. Make Russia enemy of everyone. Russia is strong. The Chinese have an old saying. Even a tiger cannot fight a pack of wolves. Russia cannot fight many countries and win.

If Putin is president for life, then I predict eventually America will kill Russia and Russia will cease to exist and be dismembered like what happened to Yugoslavia. The US will try to make each part of Russia secede from the Russian Federation and if Russia fights back the US will cry human rights and intervene on behalf of the separatists.

Every time Obama phones Putin, Putin makes a concession. This is not what a president should do. America is enemy of Russia. America is not friend of Russia. America tries to kill Russia. If Putin ditches Assad and Assad gets ousted by rebels like what happened to Gaddafi and Yanukovych, then Putin will be next.

Russia has many many traitors who are cahoots with America and they will turn on Russia in the blink of an eye and start civil wars in Russia.

On Iran Defense Forum they are already calling Russia a traitor. America tries to turn Iran and Cuba against Russia by getting rid of their sanctions and selling them weapons to fight Russia. Those who buy weapons from a country are reliant on that country and become client states of that country. If Russia ditches Assad and withdraws from Syria, then Iran will become enemy of Russia and ally with America because America stands by its allies while Russia does not stand by its allies and let rebels oust Assad.

Russia has the eastern mentality. One leader who is leader for life. If the leader is strong, the country benefits. If the leader is weak, the country is doomed. Russia will never elect another leader other than Putin as long as Putin lives. If Russia is killed by America during Putin's reign, then it would be a sad story indeed. Another thing to note is, unlike western countries, being an eastern country, Russia has tons of traitors who collaborate with America. They start civil war in Russia and split Russia into tiny chunks when America gives them the order.

Pulling out of Syria is a big mistake, by pulling out, Russia sends out a bad message to its allies, that Russia will not stand with its allies.

I really hope Russians in this forum(and in general all Russians) don't bitch and whine, if Iran makes a deal with the west, that goes agianst Russians interests.

Looks like MoD is confident that the elite ground troops have done their job, and that Hezzies/Iran/SAA can take the rest of the groundwork from here. I've got to say, I love just how unpredictable Russia is, hell, it's got boys from this forum spinning cartwheels, just imagine what the Pentagon is doing right now. I can guarantee the Pentagon (or the Wheretheygon) is absolutely buzzing with confusion. Glorious, glorious confusion.

    par far,

Don't get me wrong. If you had ever read this forum, you would know that the reality is very different from what someone who lives in a "Matrix" believes, but my argument below is intended to argue things from your perspective, not mine.

Didn't it occur to you that, maybe at this stage in the current world war, the message Russia is sending and has recently been sending to his allies is for them to stop punching below their weights for a change, or at least for his allies not to engage in "questionable" activities?

I assume you are an Iranian; correct me if I am wrong. Now, can you tell the forum members what the Iranian foreign minister is doing here in the "US" vassal state of Australia?

Now let's move away from your "realities" a bit:

Yesterday, it was "reported" that the "Turkish" "forces" were moving towards the Iranian border. Maybe "they" are thinking that Iran, as a Russian ally, is going to take some proactive measures. Now, if you are an Iranian, have you volunteered?
