Russia should just stick to UCAV like Korsar. No need to risk pilots. Even Turkey primarily used UCAV in the Afrin campaign.

If that was true, this war would have been over 4 years ago.

Turkey only used a few UCAV and beat Afrin in only a month or 2. You don't need 100 UCAV to beat a few hundred ISIS tops.

And 30+ jets, 40+ helicopters, 200+ armored vehicles, almost 9.000 soldiers... yeah... UCAVs were the breaking point there.

Some sources claim in wael twiiter ,the KA-52 was shotdown by a manpad..

@kommersant sources in @mod_russia: the Ka-52 was shot down with a MANPADS by "radical islamists".

In Eastern Syria, that could only mean "Islamic State" remnants.

The head of Russian generals needs to roll ,literary should be shot in public ,  if this information is confirmed
and later found , the hellicopters did not have Counter Electronics warfare equipment .
and if they had.. then it means Russia EW sucks big time... or it wasn't a manpad at all..

I don't buy the previous Su-30 "accident" just 3 days ago.. and this attack happened the same day of Putin Inauguration .So is this a coincidence? What are the probabilities that in just one week ,one Su-30 and another Ka-52 will die their 2 pilots and in neither case they ejected from their seat? This does not makes any sense. If more planes crashes from Russia in the next 2-3 days ,it will not be not be coincidence.. Losing Choppers for regular patrols ,is stupid.. what was the ka-52 patroling in a zone there are no operations of Syria military? this does not make sense at all.. Russia should never send its airforce alone to any mission..should have another plane covering the rear in case of missile attack. to warn the pilots of any aggression. This only encourage Russia adversaries to continue targeting Russia airforce if confirmed was shotdown... not mentioning how this will damage the morale of its pilots.

i stand by the things i say..this was not an accident. 2 incidents 2 pilots killed in each one and in each one they did

Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Most likely the crash, subsequent retrieval of the pilot bodies and destruction of the remaining wreckage caused some commotion which is bound to attract the attention of the local cockroaches at some point. In the background you can even see what appears to be a beardy on a bicycle? They probably moved in after all of the above took place. No reason to think they shot it down as well. Technical malfunction and / or human error is still far more likely.

They always film those attacks.

And second that footage shows pretty much ash from an aircraft that has burned for days... this just looks like something they could get close to a few days later... after the bodies and sensitive material was taken away...

I am not really using twitter and certainly not following terrorists. I found this on a another forum and posted it here. Idk if it's true that's why I said they "may have".

The video shows a ka-52 destroyed which is interesting for people here that are using this forum to know more about russian stuff. I'm not personnaly interested in wars and feel sorry for those dead guys in Syria lot of innocents, I only like to know what military technology can do.

Kaliningrad is full of weapons. They probably took the oldest stocks for Syrian army like MRLS rockets or tank shells ...

Just seen some drone footage of a RuAF strike where the explosion is bright white followed by blue. Any idea what does that?

Strange, must have been carrying a lot of fuel if its going to get back to Russia. Flightradar shows it almost down to sea level before rising again.

Do you know what was hit ? It seems to be electricity but no explosion maybe EMP weapon. Or bad quality video with the red coulor being transformed into blue.
