We saw how it ends up when china and india try to stop buying russian. Their domestic products fail and west sell them 10 times more expensive ones which after 10 years of negociation mostly fail too.

Who was buying su-35 because they suck at making engines for 4th gen fighters ? China.

Who bought 20 mig-29 in a hurry because rafales are fking expensive and their tejas is already outdated and never really in production ? India.

Those two country suck and are mostly stupid espially indians when it comes to making military hardwares. J-31 will be as good as tejas. Two pieces of shit. F-18 will come with "no to use in combat" like pak f-16 and rafale willl still be expensive.

RAC MiG is offering India MiG-29s made in the 80s that the VVS couldn't afford to buy. I have yet to see India sign anything accepting the offer. They have not been very happy with their MiG-29Ks so I don't see any reason why they would cannablise their indigenous fighter orders for Cold War rust.

I suspect the focus will become UCAVs to operate with it but also a dumbed down version they can export...

I really don't think they will be making 30 a year for the Russian Air Force... they will probably only want about 6-12 a year at most building up to a number of perhaps 150-250 or so over the next 10-15 years but they will also produce MiG-35s and Su-35s... and Su-34s.

I really don't think they need stealth fighters for a lot of roles, so using a 5th gen stealth fighter for every mission is just wasteful and expensive and unnecessary.

By about 2025 they will likely also start making MiG-41s to replace the 31s.

It would not surprise me if the US drastically cuts its F-35 orders and puts the F-15 back in to production in an upgraded version... an Su-35Ski copy of an upgraded Flanker...

Or maybe they like getting screwed for taxpayer cash...

The K08B is called KAB-500M and the K029B is called UPAB-1500.

The KAB-500OD tv guided bomb is from 500m to 5km altitude drop and so is the tv guided KAB-500Kr but laser guided KAB-1500L-Pr and KAB-1500L-F can be used from 1km to 15km altitude and the tv guided KAB-1500Kr can be used from 1km to 8km altitude.

AFAIK the newer bombs by Region do better as well.

At least three aircraft were shot down from ground fire. The Syrians have lost dozens in this manner. If we had the ordinance to drop accurately from 10km we would not have to worry about 20mm or MANPADs. It is why the French aircraft have lost zero, they fly so high nothing can reach them. Of course they aren't stupid enough to put their airbase close enough to be shelled by rebels either.

Su-25 was lost to ground fire, that's it. Which are the other two supposed to be?

Two deck fighters lost on landing, two lost in Hmeim on take off and landing each and one shot down by Turks. Sand humpers didn't hit anything other that that Su-25.

French didn't lose anything because they barely did anything, all the heavy lifting was done by Uncle Sam as always.

Last time French tried to fight war on their own they screwed up halfway through and had to call for help (yet again). Care to guess who they called (yet again)?

I really think Russia did a mistake in not building PAK_FA as a hypersonic missile carrier..
and a longer ,larger and wider bay ,  By the time their mig-41 goes to retail will be too late .. Needs to modify Pak-fa for a hypersonic missile strike capability.. even if the same missile range cut in half..
a special version for Su-57.. will be very important.. with 300km range.. at least.

but the more i think on it.. a mistake to build Pak-fa first.. they should have done Mig-41 first instead.. is much more deterrence a Hypersonic nuke carrier than a redundant plane ,than the previous su-35 can do the job.  If Russia don't take advantage of Hypersonic+stealth combo now,, it will be a fucking waste of opportunities ,if they wait 10 -15 years later.. for a mig-41 or pak-da carrier..  Putin is the king of missing Opportunities. with all the scientific talent Russia have, is for Russia to have a significantly more lethal Airforce ,and stop focusing so much in surface warships..
with the money Putin wasted in stupid olympics is for him to have Pak-da and Mig-41 in mass production already in big numbers.. plus a real serious space civilian and military program..

The correct thing that Putin , if he had any brains , will have been to counter US navy with Space bombers and interceptors new stealth Airforce.. + hypersonic missile force.. Whatever is a above in near space earth orbit ,will dominate whatever is below.. That is to build stealth Interceptors and and BIG stealth bombers,that US patriot defendes and Aegis can't counter..  that fly at 50km altitude at least..  This will deny traditional planes like F-16 or F-35 or F-22 completely unprepared to counter planes flying so high above them.. and will turn obsolete US , any aircraft carrier air defense.. vs targets above their air defenses capabilities...  NATO standard space interceptors for example are
just mines they deploy in high altitude in space.. that can be easily evaded if a plane don't fly in
a straigh line ,trayectory.. stealth  Space Bombers/interceptors > that any aircraft carrier group of NATO..
