What this should tell everyone is that you need a very strong army and you should not trust the west.

Yes same old same old. Nobody is going to change plan or positions. It looks like static stalemate. And Syria partitioned. However regional states like Turkey , do not feel the danger yet, since they have cut off Syrian Kurds from own Kurds, by partition line. Iraqis are too busy with internal division and war with ISIS and occupation by Americans. And Iranians do not see an immediate problem to territory from Kurd separatists.
Meanwhile Kurds getting stronger with American support. One day , not in too distant future , they will declare independent state covering these regions. The worst affected will be Turkey cut in half and Iraq , cut by one third . Iran will loose some territory too, unless it drives out or displaces all it's Kurd population. Silver lining for Iran is that Turks will be driven from East Turkey. No longer posing threat of Azeri separatism.
Maps will change permanently . Like a Shark attack , the hapless swimmer will not even notice , until he swims ashore without his legs ........

While this is true, it sends a message that you can fuck with Russia and get away with it, which should not be the case.
What hopefully happens is that this time Russia says, "ok, it's alright, it is a war, emotions are always running high and these things happen" and than they should send another drone to the same area. If the second drone gets shot down, than there should be a clear response, don't fuck with us.

This is what the Bidet clowns will try to do(if you follow the what the Bidet clowns have been saying, you will know this is the plan) and you would be mistaken if you thought that Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran did not know about this plan.
When this happens(it will happen at some point), it will be very good for Russia, it will be one of Russia's Ace it has up it's sleeve.

Those oil fields and the oil tankers carrying them need to be hit by drones.

"....... and you would be mistaken if you thought that Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran did not know about this plan........"
I used the example of the swimmer, attacked by Shark. Unable to see or feel the attack. Earlier I likened a nation or country to an Amoeba. Indeed if you look at speeded up motion of a country expansion, or contraction, it mimics exactly the way an Amoeba moves. By feeling it's way blindly.
A nation is not like a unified human. Capable and standing on two feet on dry land . There is no mega-mind connecting all the nerve cells and muscles and giving them a unitary purpose. Putin is probably most concerned about Navalny or the protests , as this affects him most, and Khameneye is concerned about Islamic etiquette in political discourse towards him , for same reason and Erdo? Well there are a lot of distractions for him.
Even if any of these leaders knew or could predict, it does not turn into action immediately. Without popular mobilisation. Unless for example when kurdish fighters backed by Americans cross into Turkey and attack Villages there to drive them out . Then the locals will harass politicians, who will disturb Erdo into some kind of action. Or compel him.
That is one reason why events always overtake politicians and compel them. The other reason is that, even if these leaders could see or predict events, and take action, that the situation on the ground is that forces are locked into stalemate. The Kurds taking advantage and growing. Like a weed or flower that grows in cracks, between Rocks.

Drones are supposed to be expendable... but the operators should not be blind and should look at the information and footage the drone shot down gathered and send more drones... they didn't shoot it down for no reason... what did they have to hide?
Perhaps an opportunity to test some higher flying drones with a bit of weapon testing involved maybe?

If this was war the ones who shot down the Orlan-10 would've been plastered with artillery almost immediately... Orlan-10s operate in pairs with one drone doing overwatch while the other drone drops down to take a closer look.

Re: Syrian War: News #22
It might have been flying low to bait the local defences.
Their air defence might consist of one guy who has a MANPADS, but most likely there will be a local command structure and the people with MANPADS will be located near things they want to protect from prying eyes... like weapon caches or oil storage and distribution areas.
That drone was likely being supported by all sorts of other platforms listening in on cell phone and radio chatter to try to work out communication centres and HQs and some sort of command structure... this means instead of just killing the guy with the now empty missile launcher, you can take down their communications hub and perhaps a few leaders as well.... after which you go after the oil storage tanks and trucks too.
I rather suspect, based on their performance so far, that they know what they are doing...

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, some 50 vehicles in a US military convoy crossed into Syria this weekend and headed for bases in the nation’s northeast Hasakeh Province.
Details aren’t clear on why the convoy arrived, beyond delivering equipment. The Observatory noted this is the ninth such convoy to enter Syria in 2021, meaning nearly two convoys per week are showing up.

I think things will heat up in Syria, this might the reason that Russia was upgrading the Hmeimim Air Base, there were upgrades made to the Tartus Naval Base and the new bases that were build in the Eastern part of Syria.

Biden Forces Vacate a ‘Wheat Silos Army Base’ in Hasakah after Looting it
@3arabiSouri
Biden forces positioned in a wheat silos facility in Hasakah province vacated their base at dawn and moved their troops and military gear into Iraq.
The occupation forces of the US Army’s Oil Thieves Regiment previously illegally occupying the Tal Allo Silos facility in the Yarubiya region, in the northeast of Hasakah vacated the post and moved its troops, vehicles, weapons, and equipment into Iraq through the illegal border crossing in the same region at dawn today, Sana reports.
After stealing the wheat and grains for months and burning farmlands they couldn’t steal, directly by uniformed army troops and indirectly through proxy terrorist and separatist armed groups working for them; the Biden oil thieves move appears more like a redeployment especially that it comes merely a few days after Jospeph Biden illegally smuggled soldiers and military equipment from Iraq into Syria in its illegal military base in Ash-Shaddadi in the southern countryside of Hasakah.

Re: Syrian War: News #22
Via SouthFront.org,
On February 12, a mysterious weapon knocked out a battle tank of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the southern Idlib countryside. The battle tank blew up in the early morning hours after being hit with an unknown object. The battle tank was situated south of the government-held town of Ma`arat al-Nu`man, way behind the frontline.
Opposition sources reported the incident, with some claiming that the battle tank was hit with an artillery round fired by Greater Idlib militants. However, this high-level of accuracy is nearly impossible to achieve with unguided artillery rounds. The battle tank was also situated beyond the militants’ line of sight.
The battle tank may have been targeted by one of the Turkish combat drones which operate over Greater Idlib on a regular basis. Another possibility is that the battle tank was struck with a laser-guided artillery shell or rocket, after being illuminated by a Turkish drone. Last year, Turkey’s ROKETSA revealed its TRLG-230 laser-guided rocket system. The system was successfully deployed against Armenian forces during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war. The Syrian battle tank may have been struck with the TRLG-230 or a similar system.
The Turkish military maintains more than 60 posts, camps and bases throughout Greater Idlib. Heavy weapons, similar to the TRLG-230, are deployed in most of these positions.
In any case, the strike represents a serious escalation by Turkey and a violation of the agreement signed with Russian on March 5, 2020. Ankara forces engaged in a fierce confrontation with the SAA and its allies last year to stop them from neutralizing the remaining terrorist groups in Greater Idlib.

Syrian air defense still works. Shooting down 13 missiles from 16 is not that bad at all.
Syrian air defense forces shot down 13 missiles in repelling an Israeli attack on Monday night in the south of the country.
A military source for the Al-Watan newspaper reported that Israel fired 16 missiles in total, 13 of them were shot down by Syrian air defenses, the other three “hit targets” near Damascus, RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier it was reported that airstrikes from Israel were recorded on Monday night in southern Syria. Syrian air defense forces intercepted Israeli missiles in the skies over Damascus and shot down most of them. Recently, Israel has been frequently striking Syrian territory. So, on January 22, as a result of an Israeli air attack in the area of the Syrian city of Hama, four people were killed, including children, and four were injured.

The IAF is giving the SyAF AD lots of practice. With an IADS integrated with the RuAF its training the Russians a bit as well in the background. Its a good opportunity to quietly test (it all takes place at night) new Russian products.
