The wealthy win the wars of attrition or conventional wars. Going toe to toe with uncle scumbags may not be the cleverest tactic. It is they who pay for all these fireworks. In Iraq for example, the attack on US bases is being carried out anonymously. A low level skirmish. Since the combatants do not have the conventional strength to declare openly or escalate. A retaliation by air strike is the usual answer. Killing many on the ground. The solution is asymmetric. Non conventional. Detterence. Not war of attrition. But war of annihilation.

It looks like things are going to heat up in Syria, this maybe a reason why Russia is sending reinforcements.
I think a good thing to have is armed drones for surveillance and to hit targets of terrorists.

Armed drones are ready and they will send them there very soon. Most likely is Orion. But other could also go there.
Loitoring drone are already in use.

Do we know a timetable for the armed drones?
I believe Russia is testing Loitering drones in Syria.

Re: Syrian War: News #22
They already bought the first 3 serial armed Orion and it has been tested in Syria for a long time now.
Mass production already started so they will use them in great number in Syria.
The rest of the drones they presented at army 2020 should be still in developement.
Loitoring munition are also used and produced. SAA will receive them IMO. Russians are using bigger bombs there.

US build up for something. These photos of trucks in Iraq on the way to Syria. At least 4 Avengers. They don't like those pesky Russian helicopters for a start

Pantsir-S and Buk-M2 repulsed an Israeli strike on the suburb of Damascus
By means of the Syrian air defense on duty Pantsir-S and Buk-M2, the missiles launched, failing to reach the target, were destroyed, confirming the high effectiveness of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems," the source said.
He added that there were no casualties among personnel and military equipment.

Re: Syrian War: News #22
Right now the US is weak(you can read up on Pepe Escobar's article's), the best way to deal with the US is to hit them right back(like what is happening in Iraq.)
Whenever the US bombs anything, bomb them back(this should be done in Iraq, Syria and wherever needed, this should be done by the SAA or the pro-Iranian groups in Iraq(they are already doing it in Iraq).
Where time the US or the Turks are moving out stolen Syrian oil, "unknown drones" should be hitting them(which is already happening at a small scale.)
The US will respond but than the SAA and the pro-Iranian groups need to respond even harder.
The SAA and Pro-Iranian groups are not afraid of taking casualties but the US and NATO are.
The Neo-Con Hawks in Washington have these delusions that they can fuck around and nothing will happen to them, we all know this is no longer the case.
If these Neo-Cons are hit back, every time they hit, they will be in between a hard place and a rock(a big rock) and they will do something stupid.
Russia and China has already taken one leg out from underneath the US(the military leg), the only leg that is left is the economic leg(mostly the Petro dollar), Russia and China just need to lean heavily on that leg and it too will collapse.
If the US(and the west) were that strong, than they did not need to divide their own populations in racial wars.

Big attack on SDF oil smuggling centre around Tarhin oil market in the Al-Bab area in northern Aleppo. The two strikes to the places of fuels and lubricants today.
Could be a couple of Iskander and three Tochka.

No snackbarring I'm afraid, these were SDF and Turks under the cosh. There would have been visible mushrooms if daylight. Assume it was a night hit to reduce collateral damages.PapaDragon wrote:

It is still smoking as I write over 12 hours later.
This is one hell of a message. They made a real mess and will interrupt the theft for quite a while.
It seems that the Syrians and Russians have had enough of the games of the US and Turkey so, whilst avoiding actual US forces, are now starting to flex their muscles. If the route starts again expect a similar splat.
Expect an interesting Spring in Syria.

It's Al Bab, plenty of Salafists there. And there was, indeed, plenty of "snackbaring" as some call it.

According to local sources, the Tarhin area, one of the main locations of illegal oil reservoirs and oil smuggling in the northern suburbs of Al-Bab, have targeted by three Russian ballistic missiles. The illegal oil reservoirs in the village of al-Hamran, northwest of Manbij, have also targeted by long-range missiles.
The pro-militant media have cited the Hamimim base as the source of the missiles, while others have said that they were fired from a Russian ship in the Mediterranean. According to unofficial sources, these missiles were of the Alexander type.
It should be noted that these areas is occupied by Turkish-backed militants.
On February 10, Russia fired several surface-to-surface missiles from the Hmeimim base in Latakia, targeting illegal oil reservoirs near the village of Tarhin, north of al-Bab.
