GOP demands Biden administration act after Mayorkas calls border crisis 'unsustainable'

There were more than 212,000 migrant encounters in July
Top Republicans on Friday called on the Biden administration to act on the crisis at the southern border after leaked audio emerged of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas calling the situation there "unsustainable."

"The other day I was in Mexico, and I said, if our border is our first line of defense, we're going to lose and this is unsustainable," Mayorkas said as he spoke to Border Patrol agents in Texas on Thursday, audio of which was obtained by Fox News. "We can't continue like this, our people in the field cant continue and our system isn't built for it."

I believe that attribution might belong to the late Harvard professor Noel Ignatiev who called for the death of the white race - he meant contextually by the way. Noel Ignatiev (a Russian Jew by heritage) lived a life of prestige and entitlement in a country supposedly rife with "white supremacism" while advocating the end of "whiteness". Kind of makes me think white supremacists weren't exactly running the show.

Chutzpah is congenital with such clowns.

In Russian there is a saying along the lines that it is "easy to catch fish in muddy waters". That is exactly what the freakish US elites are doing.
They are making it hard to have clarity by creating strife and garbage information flow.

But they are too cocky for their own good. They assume that this mess will magically maintain itself instead of fully decomposing. They
and their ilk are used to the rabble solving the problems while they live off their backs. All the ducks just line up in a row and all the
    pieces just fall into place.

Mayorkas tells border agents US is ‘going to lose’: leaked audio
Top Republican lawmakers are calling on the Biden administration to change its immigration policies Friday after Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was caught on leaked audio telling border agents the current crisis is “unsustainable.”

In the audio obtained by Fox News, Mayorkas told agents during a private meeting in Brownsville, Texas on Thursday the current situation “cannot continue” and that the system wasn’t designed to handle such high numbers of illegal immigrants.

“A couple of days ago I was down in Mexico, and I said, ‘Look, you know, if, if our borders are the first line of defense, we’re going to lose and this is unsustainable,'” Mayorkas said during the meeting.

“We can’t continue like this, our people in the field can’t continue and our system isn’t built for it.”

EXCLUSIVE: Feds Withdraw Nearly All Agents from West Texas Border Town

EAGLE PASS, Texas — On Friday, state authorities patrolled areas along the Rio Grande without the aid of Border Patrol agents. A Customs and Border Protection employee, speaking on the condition of anonymity, says that except for transport, they are all re-assigned to migrant processing with no actual patrol duties in or near the city.

“We’re done,” the CBP source states.
The absence of Border Patrol was noticeable at the city’s boat ramp, where several federal trucks and trailers are usually parked representing the Border Patrol Marine unit. On Friday morning, only Texas and Florida authorities were at the ramp and in the water.

Further downriver, signs are posted to guide migrants to surrender. The signs read “Sigue el Camino,” or follow the road.
Without federal authorities reliably on hand, state police on both sides of the border are mirroring efforts. On the Mexican side, the Policia Especializada de Coahuila (PEC), can be seen interacting with migrants.
The PEC, formerly known as Fuerza Coahuila, are one part of four divisions within the ranks of the former Fuerza Coahuila. The former branch was disbanded and broken into components to address widespread corruption allegations.

The PEC branch is heavily armed to deal with equally outfitted cartels, which oversee all human smuggling operations into this part of western Texas. On Friday, some of those smuggled migrants consisted of a group of 46 Venezuelans.

The Del Rio Sector, covering Eagle Pass, currently sits in the number two spot nationwide for migrant apprehensions. This fiscal year, 182,593 have been apprehended within the sector. The total represents an increase of more than 1,000 percent over 2020. The Border Patrol nationwide has apprehended 1.2 million since October, the start of the fiscal year.

The increase in migrant traffic has resulted in the sector being forced to detain migrants outdoors under an international bridge in Del Rio. Many of the migrants arrested throughout the sector are transferred to a soft sided detention facility in Eagle Pass for transfer to ICE or, in many cases, for release into the United States.
According to the source, the transfer of migrants from elsewhere in the sector is resulting in the staffing shortages, which is ending routine field patrols. This shift is also felt further inland where authorities are seeing an uptick in migrant traffic through private property and ranches. Migrants also board trains to quickly leave the Eagle Pass area.

Trump calls on Biden to step down due to Taliban takeover of Afghanistan

This is funny because Biden supporters don't like any criticism and will react to this... despite spending the entire Trump administration period trying to get recounts and investigations into Russian hacking and interference, and anything and everything that went wrong was Trumps fault and he should step down...

It seems it is the liberal airy fairy democrats that are the cancel culture loonies, and the conservative republicans and the level headed sensible ones... who would have thought that...

But then when I was a kid the Democrats were anti war but now they both are pro war.

Opposition leader is the best job in the world.... you just complain about everything... how they are doing everything wrong and how you would do everything better and cheaper and faster and not ever be accountable for anything... Trump would be good at that I think...

Military and "intel" agencies were dragging their feet, too. Afghanistan was a gold mine for them. They hoped Biden and his handlers could be persuaded to let them stay.

Stocks Drop, Dollar Climbs Amid Economic Angst: Markets Wrap

    By Rita Nazareth

    August 16, 2021, 5:15 PM CDT Updated on August 17, 2021, 1:35 PM CDT
Stocks dropped, while the dollar rose amid concern that the global economic recovery will lose momentum with further shutdowns to contain a fast-spreading pandemic.

Traders watched closely Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s remarks during a Tuesday town hall with educators and students, where he noted that the Fed’s “powerful tools” have limitations. Powell also said that Covid-19 will likely stay “for a while,” and we’re not going back to a pre-pandemic economy. Policy makers will gather next week for the Jackson Hole symposium, the central bank’s most-prominent annual conference.

The US system is thoroughly corrupt and disfunctional. All the finger wagging about democracy is so much BS.
The US does not have a real democracy and is run by elite clowns via corrupted government.

Kabul's airport is the epicenter of a desperate and deadly scramble to escape the Taliban

See the scene at the Kabul airport
Among those criticizing the US withdrawal is former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, who was leader when his country helped the US push the Taliban from power in 2001.

"The abandonment of Afghanistan and its people is tragic, dangerous, unnecessary, not in their interests and not in ours," Blair wrote Saturday in an article published on his Institute for Global Change think tank website.

He added that the decision to pull troops out of the country had been done "in obedience to an imbecilic political slogan about ending 'the forever wars.'"

Video shows hordes of maskless people at Pelosi fundraiser
    By David Meyer
    August 22, 2021 3:50pm Updated
Mask-pushing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was apparently caught addressing an outdoor crowd of mask-less Democratic big wigs in COVID-19-riddled Napa Valley over the weekend, according to video and tweets.

A clip of the close-quartered fund-raiser was posted on Facebook by Democratic Party donor and winemaker Kathryn Walt Hall — and promptly blasted out on Twitter.
The footage appeared to show dozens of unmasked people seated elbow to elbow at long luncheon tables as Pelosi gave a speech and masked waiters ambled between the listeners.

“All the servants fully masked,” tweeted journalist Glenn Greenwald. “The almost-entirely old, white, rich crowd of DCCC donors free to go maskless as they’re served.”

According to the CDC, Napa County in California is a coronavirus hot spot, garnering the designation of “high” for its current level of transmission. “High” is the most worrisome designation.
Vid shows hoards of maskless people at apparent Pelosi DCCC event

    Kathryn Walthall

The CDC says that while “in general, you do not need to wear a mask in outdoor settings,” people should consider it because of the potential dangers if they don’t.
“In areas with with high numbers of COVID-19 cases, consider wearing a mask in crowded outdoor settings and for activities with close contact with others who are not fully vaccinated,” the agency says on its Web site.

Pelosi, a Democrat from California, has been a strong advocate of mask-wearing mandates, including in the House — although she has personally been caught apparently flouting rules in the past.

Some of Pelosi’s critics ripped her over the dining clip featuring maskless listeners.

“Speaker Pelosi wants to lock you down again while she wines and dines with her political donors,” said House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. “It’s utter hypocrisy.”

BREAKING: In a loss for the Biden administration, The Supreme Court has ruled that the administration must reinstate Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” border policy, which requires many immigrants who seek asylum in the U.S. to stay in Mexico while they await a hearing.

The Supreme Court upholds a federal judge’s order to reinstate “remain in Mexico”
    René Kladzyk August 24, 2021

The reinstatement of the controversial “remain in Mexico” program was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday after it denied an appeal by the Biden administration. The judge’s order forces the administration to begin reimplementing the program Wednesday.

“The applicants have failed to show a likelihood of success on the claim that the memorandum rescinding the Migrant Protection Protocols was not arbitrary and capricious,” the Supreme Court ruling found.

White House audio feed cut seconds after reporter asks Biden about Americans stuck in Afghanistan

The White House is being criticized for appearing to cut the audio in the State Dining Room seconds before President Biden answered a question about Americans stuck in Afghanistan.

"Mr. Presdient, what would you do if Americans are still there[in Afghanistan] after the deadline?" Peter Alexander asked Biden. Moments later, before the President appears to answer, the White House audio feed was cut.

The White House received much criticism on social media for cutting the audio. After Alexander shared what Biden said in return, the criticism was even more intense.

"I asked President Biden what he will do if Americans are still in Afghanistan after the 8/31 deadline," Alexander tweeted. "His response: 'You’ll be the first person I call.' Took no questions," he said.

"Pay attention to that smirk. Tells you everything you need to know about how he feels regarding Americans and our men in uniform," said one Twitter user.

EXCLUSIVE: Military expert says General Scott Miller gets the lion's share of blame for Afghanistan debacle, claiming by abandoning Bagram he prioritized politics instead of questioning Biden's flawed decision to reduce US troops to just 700

Bill Roggio, senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a war on terror think tank, has blamed the Afghanistan debacle on US General Scott Miller

But Generals Kenneth Mackenzie and Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley and ultimately President Biden share in the blame, the defense analyst said

'I think Milley understands what a mess this is and what a mistake that was. He's certainly trying to let the s**t roll downhill,' he told Daily Mail ..

General Miller was behind the decision to abandon the Bagram airbase and use Hamid Karzai International Airport for the evacuation

'Miller was the ground commander at the time and proposed the plan, worked on it with [General Kenneth] Mackenzie, then they pushed it up,' he added

Roggio said Biden also insisted on a reducing US forces to just 700 troops - a flawed plan that he believes should have been challenged by military leaders

The move backfired when the Taliban swarmed into Kabul within days, surrounding the airport and thwarting the evacuation of US citizens and Afghans

'No one had the vision to say if the Taliban is able to run through Kabul before we execute our withdrawal we're going to be in a world of hurt,' Roggio added

Roggio said generals have the duty to stand up to potentially flawed ideas but claimed some are 'climbers' and have 'largely become political'

Believe this pretty much covers it and yes... the same applies to Trump.

There is no comparison between Trump and Biden. You are just using a boilerplate disclaimer.

Prague is not the source of wisdom. It is the same as Kiev with the same butthurt NATzO sycophants
upset that their roof is leaking and falling apart. They thought they had a great racket going by
crawling up NATzO's ass. Tough luck, losers.

Nah! The point is that it is not Biden or Trump that are the problem but it is the American people that are the problem.
Don't get me wrong, Americans are some of the nicest people out there but they have brainwashed and educationally dumb downed for so many generations that they are no longer grounded to reality.

The way europeans take their orders from Washington.... couldn't you expand that to westerners... Australia does too... New Zealand gets a bit of stick for not being hard enough on China and various other transgressions... but we are hip deep in this bullshit too...

Don't get me wrong, westerners are some of the nicest people (well meaning people) out there but they have brainwashed and educationally dumb downed for so many generations that they are no longer grounded to reality. (they think they can help people by imposing crippling economic sanctions and bombing them....)

Without a doubt, however the rest of us westerners have not been done as long or as in depth. We are not an exceptional people living in an exceptional country Rolling Eyes

EDIT: IMO the New World Order and it's follow up the Great Reset are designed to further bind the USA with the rest of the West.
