We should be bombing the Taliban, ISIS, and anyone else who messes with American lives back to the Stone Age.
Meanwhile, look at the numbers of Taliban dead, twice the Yanks. They will be out for some serious revenge for that, the US are second in the queue.

Explosion at #Kabul Airport; 13 Americans Were Killed
So far the latest death toll from the terrorist attack is 76, and 163 injured. 13 of those killed were US troops. 28 Taliban members also reportedly killed in the attack.

The explosion was bigger than one person carrying only a vest suicide belt but additional explosions must have been carried in a travel bag or similar.
#ISIS learned to send two terrorists with a fair distance to avoid the death of the second terrorist by the first explosion.

Hundreds of ISKP terrorists were rescued by Ghani's regime in their helicopters, at a time when they were surrounded by Taliban in Northern Afghanistan. The videos are available online. ISKP terrorist group was empowered by US-EU backed illegitimate regime of Ghani.

I wish I knew more about it. As I understand it, Trump dropped mother of all bombs on ISIS, or ISIS - K,

Afghanistan crisis: Who are IS-K?
By Frank Gardner

IS-K - or to give it its more accurate name, Islamic State Khorasan Province - is the regional affiliate of the Islamic State group that is active in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
It is the most extreme and violent of all the jihadist militant groups in Afghanistan.
It was set up in January 2015 at the height of IS's power in Iraq and Syria, before its self-declared caliphate was defeated and dismantled by a US-led coalition.
It recruits from both Afghan and Pakistani jihadists, especially defecting members of the Afghan Taliban who don't see their own organisation as extreme enough.
IS-K have been blamed for some of the worst atrocities in recent years, targeting girls' schools, hospitals and even a maternity ward where they reportedly shot dead pregnant women and nurses.
Unlike the Taliban, whose interest is confined to Afghanistan, IS-K are part of the global IS network that seeks to carry out attacks on Western, international and humanitarian targets wherever they can reach them.
IS-K are based in the eastern province of Nangarhar, close to drug- and people-smuggling routes in and out of Pakistan.
At its height the group numbered about 3,000 fighters - but has suffered significant casualties in clashes with both the US and Afghan security forces, and also with the Taliban.
Are they linked to the Taliban?
Peripherally yes, via a third party, the Haqqani network.
According to researchers, there are strong links between IS-K and the Haqqani network, which in turn is closely linked to the Taliban.
The man now in charge of security in Kabul is Khalil Haqqani who has had a $5m (£3.6m) bounty on his head.
Dr Sajjan Gohel from the Asia Pacific Foundation has been monitoring the militant networks in Afghanistan for years.
He says "several major attacks between 2019 and 2021 involved collaboration between IS-K, the Taliban's Haqqani network and other terror groups based in Pakistan".
When the Taliban took over in Kabul on 15 August, the group released large numbers of prisoners from Pul-e-Charki jail, reportedly including IS and al-Qaeda militants. These people are now at large.
But IS-K have major differences with the Taliban, accusing them of abandoning Jihad and the battlefield in favour of a negotiated peace settlement hammered out in "posh hotels" in Doha, Qatar.
IS militants now represent a major security challenge for the incoming Taliban government, something the Taliban leadership shares in common with Western intelligence agencies.

The Taliban placed Hamid Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah under house arrest, removed the security of both, took their cars too
AUGUST 26, 2021
Kabul, ANI. Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai and National Reconciliation Council chief Abdullah Abdullah have been placed under house arrest in their homes in Kabul. The Taliban also withdrew their security on Thursday. According to the CNN report, their cars have also been taken by the Taliban. On Wednesday, they also searched the house of Abdullah Abdullah. After the capture of Kabul, the Taliban had promised to form a government in coordination with everyone.
He also held talks with former President Karzai and former chief executive Abdullah Abdullah. The two leaders had been living in Kabul since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan. Last week, Abdullah Abdullah and Karzai met Abdul Rahman Mansour, the Taliban’s alleged acting governor, in Kabul.

Taliban and Northern Alliance agree not to attack each other
The Taliban and the Northern Alliance have now agreed not to attack each other, indicating a major change. According to Geo News, talks between the Taliban and Northern Alliance representatives for the last two days in Charikar, Parwan province of Afghanistan. was happening. The formal announcement of this peace deal will be made by the leaders of the Taliban and the Northern Alliance in a press conference. Since the occupation of Afghanistan, the Taliban has been facing opposition from many areas, in which the Panjshir Valley is prominent. Two days ago, when the Taliban sent their fighters to this area, the Northern Alliance gave a befitting reply. It is known that Panjshir is a deep valley located in the Hindukush ranges and it is located 80 km north of Kabul. The fighters present here get full advantage of the geographical area.
Thursday’s attack was the deadliest day for U.S. troops since insurgents in Afghanistan shot down a U.S. Chinook helicopter in August 2011 – killing 38 people, including 31 U.S. troops.
His video speaks for itself. My thought was, compare his appearance and voice to Joe Biden's. Their age difference is about 4 years. Imho, Trump is about as sharp as a tack - his speaking physical ability, and Biden about as sharp as a crayola.

Re: Taliban takeover of Afghanistan
This is a proxy war now with, US/UK/+Some Western Countries/ISIS on one side and Russia/China/Pakistan/Iran/Countries close to Russia and China/The Taliban on the other side.
These suicide attacks are being purpetrated by ISIS... I doubt the west will retain ties with ISIS in this region any more.
The Taleban had nothing to gain with these bomb attacks... in fact plenty to lose... an bunch of west leaning malcontents and foreign military are leaving the country... the Taleban should be helping them leave...
It is ISIS that benefits from death and chaos... they want the foreigners to fight the Taliban because when the Taliban are no longer fighting the foreigners they will focus on fighting ISIS.
None other than Hilary Diane Rodham.
Cross yourself and spin around five times and be very very careful not to say that name two more times today...
On August 16th Biden declared response would be swift and strong if any Americans were harmed.
That is exactly what ISIS wants.... a blind stupid lash out retaliation to make things worse.
the U.S also thinks there is an Vehicle borne IED somewhere in kabul.
Yeah, they probably funded it for ISIS...
Blaming Trump by some is amusing... Trumps 2 cents in this situation is that for the next 20 years American troops are not going to be based in Afghanistan getting shot and blown up for no reason.... I say give that man a cookie. Biden on the other hand has spent the last few months telling everyone that they are going to pull out and what their general deadlines are... some military commander they had said they were withdrawing their air power a couple of months ago so they can't attack targets with air power in Afghanistan... who does that?
When the British withdrew from the country several times before in the past they were massacred... when the Soviets withdrew in the late 1980s they did so so efficiently I remember at the time when the Americans were going in that they were desperate for any and all information they could get about the Soviet withdrawal and their operations in afghanistan in the 1980s so they could copy all their best ideas and keep as many Americans alive as possible... but it seems the withdrawal has been led by politicians instead of the military and they have totally screwed it up.
Ironically until ISIS started blowing up bombs the main problem with the withdrawal was that they were screwing up and taking too long with deciding who could leave and who had to stay... HATO soldiers weren't getting killed... the Afghan government forces collapsed but that was really no great surprise... it is natural in that region to just change sides when you could care less who is in charge.
These ISIS attacks have made this a real debacle to be concerned about because idiots on both sides can take these deaths and make them more costly by escalating and retaliation against the wrong people... America bombing the Taliban will mean it wont just be ISIS attacking them at this air port... it will also be the Taliban.
The real irony is that during the conflict in 1980s when the Soviets were there the US got some Muj forces and a dozen 120mm mortars and some GPS devices... which were very new at the time and they snuck into a dead zone near a Soviet Airfield and fired off a dozen mortar bombs from each mortar and then disappeared.... right now ISIS could easily set up some artillery rockets to attack airfields because western air power in the area is totally depleted and start firing at those big expensive transport planes... American special forces already showed them how to do it...
U.S. officials provided Taliban with names of Americans, Afghan allies to evacuate
“Basically, they just put all those Afghans on a kill list,” said one defense official.
Think of it as a test... if they don't give them a list these people will never make a plane and so chances are they will be hunted down anyway. If they do and they cooperate and get these people out then that creates trust that could be used later on when big US companies want to go in there and mine.
If they use it as a kill list then fine... the US can say... well you are all enemies of the US and then after all US personel are gone send some B-52s to absolutely hammer all the most luxurious buildings and compounds in the region... assuming the top Taliban will be residing there... attack at night...
Moscow repatriates Russians from Afghanistan with assistance of Taliban, US
Earlier, Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan said that over 360 Afghan holders of Russian passports had been evacuated from Kabul
So the Taliban are helping Russians and their people leave... so why not Americans?
But I understand that the Americans would use a list of Talibans as a kill list... that is what they do, so of course they will think the Taliban would do the same... because obviously the Taliban are exactly the same as the Americans....
Like how the US embassy in Iraq gets rocket attacked when troop number are being reduced.
I think this was a false flag. Someone has to say it. Does it make a lot of sense ? No. But neither does the official narrative.
If you think the CIA controls ISIS you might say they are trying to sabotage the withdrawal, but even if the CIA is not involved it is in ISISs interests to attack now why the HATO forces are so terribly vulnerable with the potential to lash out any anyone and everyone... and it also upsets the Taliban because I suspect they want these people out of their country and know if they start extending deadlines then in 20 years they will still be leaving...
It's a remake of The Long Walk To Freedom
More like Home Alone...
...just compare this with how the Soviet Army left Afghanistan.
Even the west was impressed with how the Soviets left, but then the Afghan government was stronger and better organised...

Re: Taliban takeover of Afghanistan
The so-called Western "experts" on Islam make many "mistakes" when mixing different groups that are even at odds.
When you read notes on the BBC, CNN, El País and others; you can see how lax they are.
Rather, they are full of anti-Islamic propaganda.
Regarding the Soviets:
First of all there is a lot of propaganda when comparing the 1979 intervention with Vietnam.
Beyond some mistakes, I don't think they were defeated.
Rather, they withdrew because of Gorvachev, who was destroying the USSR.
That is, by withdrawing from Afghanistan they left a strong, constituted government that lasted several more years. Besides, to do it orderly and not in disarray as the USA is doing today.

US special operations vets carry out daring mission to save Afghan allies
With the Taliban growing more violent and adding checkpoints near Kabul's airport, an all-volunteer group of American veterans of the Afghan war launched a final daring mission on Wednesday night dubbed the "Pineapple Express" to shepherd hundreds of at-risk Afghan elite forces and their families to safety, members of the group told ABC News.
Moving after nightfall in near-pitch black darkness and extremely dangerous conditions, the group said it worked unofficially in tandem with the United States military and U.S. embassy to move people, sometimes one person at a time, or in pairs, but rarely more than a small bunch, inside the wire of the U.S. military-controlled side of Hamid Karzai International Airport.
The small groups of Afghans repeatedly encountered Taliban foot soldiers who they said beat them but never checked identity papers that might have revealed them as operators who spent two decades killing Taliban leadership. All carried U.S. visas, pending visa applications or new applications prepared by members of Task Force Pineapple, they told ABC News.
"This Herculean effort couldn't have been done without the unofficial heroes inside the airfield who defied their orders to not help beyond the airport perimeter, by wading into sewage canals and pulling in these targeted people who were flashing pineapples on their phones," Mann said.
Looking back at an effort that saved at least, by their count, 630 Afghan lives, Redman expressed deep frustration "that our own government didn't do this. We did what we should do, as Americans."

Peter Meijer, who flew to Afghanistan this week, says Congress needs to reclaim war powers authority
The Michigan Republican, a veteran who served in Iraq, was one of two congressmen who faced bipartisan backlash for making an unauthorized trip to Kabul
Congress needs to "reclaim its authority over war powers" to avoid another catastrophe on the scale of Thursday's deadly Afghanistan terror attack, a Republican congressman said Thursday.
U.S. Rep. Peter Meijer of Michigan spoke out after at least 13 U.S. service members and dozens of Afghans were killed at the Kabul airport.
He said the Biden administration has done everything it can to "obstruct the situation to deny the reality and frankly to hide facts from the American people."
Last year, then-President Trump vetoed Congress' Iran War Powers Resolution meant to curb executive military power in that country.

I finally finished watching President Biden's speech and taking reporters' questions.
On the video he threw his Generals under the bus, and gave them all the credit /blame for how the evacuation was executed.
As a Commander in Chief, I rate him a failure.

I failed to save the source....
No one knows how effective the Taliban will be at combating the Sunni extremists of IS, who have links to the group's more well-known affiliate in Syria and Iraq and have carried out a series of brutal attacks in Afghanistan, mainly targeting its Shiite Muslim minority.

This is huge, India was likely not in the Taliban's good books. I think Indian diplomats will be making a lot of trips to Moscow, if India had not listened to the US and kept good relations with China, it would have helped now.

U.K.’s Johnson Criticizes Pullout’s Timing: Afghanistan Update

EU Official Calls Afghan Pullout a ‘Turning Point’ for Defense (11:37 a.m.)
The abrupt U.S. pullout from Afghanistan is a “turning point” for Europe in the debate over the need for a common defense force, the European Union’s internal market commissioner said.
“For me, European defense is no longer an option. It must come of age,” Thierry Breton said in a written statement Friday, adding that the events in Afghanistan have spotlighted Europe’s dependence on the U.S. military. “The only question is ‘when.’ And we will be ready.”
He said Europe needs a military projection force and should create a European Security Council to respond to various threats. -- Kevin Whitelaw
Italy Pushes for Special G-20 Meeting (8:30 a.m.)
Italy continues to plan for a Group of 20 extraordinary summit, which could become “a platform for coordinated management” of the Afghan crisis, Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said Friday in Rome at a joint press conference with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. He didn’t give details on potential timing.
The G-20 includes China, Russia and Turkey, which are crucial to building a cohesive approach to the Afghan issue.

Re: Taliban takeover of Afghanistan
Taliban destroy statue of foe, stoking fear over their rule
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — The Taliban have blown up the statue of a Shiite militia leader who fought against them during Afghanistan’s civil war in the 1990s, according to photos circulating on Wednesday, sowing further doubt about their claims to have become more moderate.
As Afghans and the international community look to see if the Taliban will make good on their promises, photos circulated on social media of the destroyed statue. It depicted Abdul Ali Mazari, a militia leader killed by the Taliban in 1996, when the Islamic militants seized power from rival warlords. Mazari was a champion of Afghanistan’s ethnic Hazara minority, Shiites who were persecuted under the Sunni Taliban’s earlier rule.
The statue stood in the central Bamyan province, where the Taliban infamously blew up two massive 1,500-year-old statues of Buddha carved into a mountain in 2001, shortly before the U.S.-led invasion that drove them from power. The Taliban claimed the Buddhas violated Islam’s prohibition on idolatry.

Very calm night in Kabul. No shooting, no blasts to be heard since this morning.
Taliban house-to-house searches ongoing, we’ve been told about a dozen ISIS K suspects have been rounded up

Spoke with Prime Minister Mario Draghi of Italy and discussed the need for a coordinated international response to recent developments in Afghanistan. We also discussed other important issues such as Climate Change, and our cooperation in G20.

Re: Taliban takeover of Afghanistan
"Who profits from the Kabul suicide bombing?"
"NATO intel picked up by a UN report attributes a maximum of 2,200 jihadis to ISIS-K, split into small cells. Significantly, the absolute majority are non-Afghans: Iraqis, Saudis, Kuwaitis, Pakistanis, Uzbeks, Chechens and Uighurs."
The big question now is how will SCO(more specifically Russia and China) respond to this?

Looks like the Taliban need help from those who actually succeeded against ISIS, the Syrians and Russians.

If Russia was to use satellite images, AEW&C Airplanes and drone strikes on the ISIS terrorists, would this help the situation?
Russia would not need to send in troops into Afghanistan.
Let's see what, if anything Russia does.

Re: Taliban takeover of Afghanistan
Satellite images, AEW&C Airplanes and drones are useless against such groups.
The best is human intel' from the population which can spot those foreign fighter the most easily and very quickly.
Talibans have the more chances to find ISIS fighters there.
Russia can help with communication intel but nothing more. China is totally useless in Afghanistan. US have lost all tgeir contact there after letting them in the hands of talibans, they will never collaborate again if they are alive...
