Re: Su-57 Stealth Fighter: News #8
The only reliable value I have seen is 22 units until 2024, so it may be 5 this year and 6 in 2023 and 2024, or something along those lines. In the future the production should reach in sqd. per year to reach the 76 units by 2028

Re: Su-57 Stealth Fighter: News #8
Well assuming we are not including 2028 in the dates the production build up could be something along the lines of:
Could be a general rule of thumb of what they are aiming for.... where they have already made two and the four that were supposed to be made last year might arrive about now, which would mean they would that 2021 they only made two and were planning for 6 but the extra four arriving now means they have the rest of the year to build six more, but of course the focus is on the production process... working out how to make it and how to improve making it so production can be ramped up to producing more at once.
The production increase just needs to be spread out so any early problems can be solved and worked on to enable smooth serial production so there might be some early hickups but that does not really matter because the real goal is getting serial production working smoothly and efficiently and even finding better ways of making them that reduces waste and speeds up the process without loss of quality.
2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024 | 2025 | 2026 | 2027 |
2 | 10 | 8 | 12 | 12 | 14 | 18 |

Yes, and there are already reports that 4 aircraft have been transferred to the Ministry of Defense. Only so far the data has not been officially confirmed.

2 Su-57's were delivered to the Russian VVS.
MOSCOW, January 20. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko said that the industry also transferred 17 new aircraft - including two Su-57 fighters - and 18 refurbished aircraft to the Aerospace Forces.

These two Su-57 aircrafts have serial numbers 52201 (T-50S-3) and 52202 (T-50S-4),
According to previously published information, KnAAZ plans to hand over four Su-57s in 2022.

Most likely the one where they have the more instructors. They need to keep training on them for a long time still. Not just to train flying the aircraft but also how to use it alone, by pairs, by squadrons...

Re: Su-57 Stealth Fighter: News #8
I was curious to see if there are pictures of the new short range Russian equivalent of AIM-9X.
Sure i found this:
Does the first batch have the old Irbis-E PESA radar?
Internet seems to be full of rumours that NIIP has problems with N036 and they are still in process of trying to solve all the problems?

Thats because Internet people are stupid. It never had N035 neither as a prototype nor at production stage. Actually, irbis does not even fit the size of the radome.Flanky wrote:I was curious to see if there are pictures of the new short range Russian equivalent of AIM-9X.

And is not even integrated with the rest of avionics. It literally is not plugged info IMA BK.
N036 project is not facing problems and was delivered long ago (2016). There's even an updated M versions.
People spout all sorts of nonesense.

That is a tube launched missile and is the current TOR missile AFAIK and not related to the new short range AAM they are developing... which is IIR guided.
That missile has no nose mounted sensor and is a command guided TOR missile.

Re: Su-57 Stealth Fighter: News #8
The first serial Su-57 (T-50S-1, serial number 51001, board number 01 "blue") made its first flight on KnAAZ in early December 2019, but was lost during the accident.
The second Su-57 (T-50S-2, serial number 51002, board number 01 "blue"), its testing began in October 2020, was officially handed over to the Russian Ministry of Defense on January 29, 2021.
In 2021, the Russian Aerospace Forces received two serial fighters, but there was no information about them. The third production Su-57 (T-50S-3, serial number 52201, board No. 51 "blue"), the fourth production Su-57 (T-50S-4, serial number 52202, board No. 52 "blue").
This year, KnAAZ is to hand over four more Su-57s, three of which have already been seen in the assembly process in video clips. These are the fifth serial Su-57 (T-50S-5, serial number 52303), the sixth serial Su-57 (T-50S-6, serial number 52304) and the seventh serial Su-57 (T-50S-7, serial number 52405). ). There is no information about the eighth production aircraft.
Therefore, in this 2022, the Russian Aerospace Forces will have seven production Su-57s (the eighth, that is, the first, has been lost).

Don't underestimate AIM-9X.Isos wrote:Aim-9X got fooled by su-22 flares. Even old r-73 is better.
Americans were shocked with R-73 and AIM-9X development came as a result of that shock.
The X model is pretty good missile.
This is the reason why new RVV-MD development came to be.
New Russian SRAAM needs to be more compact to be internally carried and it needs new seeker to have better ECCM capabilities.
What Americans clearly ignored is Russian DIRCM capabilities.
They thought that since they have AIM-9X their F-35 does not have to be a outstanding dogfighting plane.
Thats where they are wrong and proof of that is each modern plane still has the good old cannon.

Re: Su-57 Stealth Fighter: News #8
Su57 has already been tested in combat scenario.
Su57 was brought into Syria during the end stages , testing its flight controls, radar, and stealth configuration. MOD was highly satisfied, and even employed weapons there such as the kh59m stealth version which is miniaturized.
There are pictures from MOD of SU57 flying with this weapon and employing it on terrorists.
No doubt they also saw on NEBO that Su57 in configuration is not visible on radar.
The combat performance in the desert leads towards fulfillment of the first SU57 squadron by next year.
This is nice progress on the program and shows the combat effectiveness of the machine.
