Yes on the face of it going in against a military equipped with a significant amount S-300s, BUKs, tunguska etc, who have been allegedly preparing for it for 8yrs with various upgrades & without any defensive terrain to use, should be guaranteed to lose a few.EkErilaz wrote:I would have expected heavier losses considering that Ukrainian IADS is semi competent on paper.

I find it hard to believe that man that brought Russia to where it is, from the miserable state it was in in the 90s, also has a crippling desire to see the world burn. Both Georgia and Ukraine have been regional conflicts that were directly and strategically relevant for Russia. The same cannot be said for various conflicts carried out by western coalitions since that very same time.

Agression ? Hey, moron, i am from the country which was bombed without UN resolution in 1999 -unilaterally decided by NATO !
Along with the United States, your country was the first to seek NATO aggression in 1999.
Try to understand in your head that living in a Western country DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT to shape the destiny of another nation.

Not that relevant, suppose that Ukraine had joined NATO then it wouldn't be much of a big deal, all things considered.
The West's wars were mostly flawed attempts at delivering peace/democracy whilst creating work for arms manufacturers.
Try justifying this all you want, it can't be without admitting it comes down to wanting the USSR back.

Don't be a fucking idiot. It had nothing to do with democracy.

Facetious remark, google it. Reckon some people felt they could achieve it but ultimately it wasn't going to happen as per the American model.
