my bet is , if Russia wanted it , it could take all of kiev in a matter of just 48 hours.
with the forces they already had in crimea only. but the problem is that those that conquer a big land , later need to feed thousands and millions of brainwashed people there , that hates either way , no matter what you do.  So it will just make incredibly expensive for russia to feed and pay the pensions of 30 millions of new citizens ,that were not previously in the russian budget..

i think this is what NATO was hoping , destroy and bankrupt ukraine and later force russia to invade and take care of  them. The economic cost and civil protest russia will have later to deal , can create protest inside russia too ,demanding the return home of their military. and this doesn't count the road side bombs and mysteriuos nato kamikazi drones attacks that will hit russian army .

When US invaded iraq.. most of their casualties of the US army came after they captured bagdad..
and the casualties mostly were road side bombs or snipers that show up from nowhere and then hide.
