How's the invasion going?
Good question, Ukraine is reporting that they retook some lost territory, caused casualties to Russians. You know, the usual 2014 spiel. So far there's a video of destroyed ukrainian BTR and destroyed Russian Tigr. That's about it.
My guess is that both sides are dying left and right at the moment, it's the initial stage of war.
US Embassy in Ukraine reminds Americans it won’t help to evacuate them
“On February 24, 2022, the Department of State suspended consular operations in Lviv, Ukraine… US citizens seeking emergency assistance and those who decide to remain in Ukraine should complete [an online form] and the State Department will respond,” it said in a message published on the embassy’s website.
“The US government will not be able to evacuate US citizens from Ukraine,”

What we need now are crushing sanctions against russia. Europe cant sit and watch a tyrannical russia first taking ukraine and then move further westwards. I fully agree that EU in cooperation with usa, australia and japan starts crushing sanctions on russia like never before. All property must be confiscated, trade blocked. Its also good to supply ukraine with weapons.
We had over 70 years peace in europe and cant allow this to suceed.
Of course it will cost us too but bowing to a tyrant would cost more

Did France sanction the countries in the coalition that invaded Iraq and killed hundreds of thousands of people?

The sinister Anglo-Saxons know exactly what they are doing - getting Putin to kill Slavs in Ukraine. As a result of this they are hoping, Russian Slavs will rise in revolt and remove Putin from office.

Yeah I have a feeling that this will backfire on Russia.
Russia is not the USA that can invade and destroy countries without consequences.

Why you care about lives of Ukrainians but not about the lives of the Iraqis? Are brown people less important?
It is ok to bomb and destroy far away countries as long as Europe is "safe"?

Difficult to believe that, with US advice available, the UA would have sited a critical HQ like this within range of DNR artillery. The local area HQ on the basis od 'they wouldn't dare' but the whole of Ukraine surely was in Kiev (past tense intended).
Maybe just a slip of the pen.
Pepe Escobar @RealPepeEscobar · 2h VERY important.
It was the artillery of one of the baby twins, the DPR, that hit the HQ of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass.
The HQ actually housed the ENTIRE Ukrainian military command.
Which means the Ukrainian General Staff instantly lost control of all its troops.
Gleb Bazov @gbazov · 2h #DONBASS—#Khodakovsky reports that #Ukraine had concentrated the vast majority of their functional forces around the line of separation with #LPR and #DPR, which serve well #Russia|n raids deep into their rear. Donbass must now fetter these UA forces to facilitate RU operation.
Patarames @Pataramesh · 5h This will be the first example of what modern high-intensity warfare looks like.
Many bubbles and PR-myths in NATO circles will be bust.
Pepe Escobar @RealPepeEscobar · 3h This is just a taste of how a "military-technical" response works.
Every major city in Ukraine was hit by Russian precision missiles but only to destroy weapons depots and most of all command and control centers.

No buddy i wont allow you to drag me into the mud. France made that mistake once. We could have stopped hitler even in 1938 but negotiated. We wont repeat that mistake. If we allow Ukraine to fall, next will be baltics, poland. Even Germany is at risk.
We need crushing sanctions and the eastern flank must be armed. Nuclear weapons stationed in baltics down to Greece.
Nothing else matters now. Zero concessions and maximun confrontation.
As i said, we will pay too but freedom comes at a cost.
Crimea's Head Orders to Pepare North Crimean Canal to Receive Water From Dnieper SIMFEROPOL (Sputnik) - The head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, instructed the committee on water management to prepare the North Crimean Canal to receive water from the Dnieper River. "It looks like we won’t need desalination plants. I gave the command to the chairman of the State Committee for Water Management and Land Reclamation of the Republic of Crimea, Igor Vail, to prepare the North Crimean Canal to receive water," Aksyonov said on Telegram. Previously, Ukraine provided up to 85% of the needs of Crimea in fresh water through the North Crimean Canal coming from the Dnieper River. However, after the reunification of Crimea with Russia, the supply of water through the canal to the republic was completely stopped unilaterally
