Buk is a beast of a system. And Ukraines got a lot of em from ussr and later times.

Buk was I believe the main ad system that Georgia used to take down russian AC during Georgian war.

Funny tho that Russians back then used Su-34s to supress their air defences and destroy one UHF radar and Buk battery

They were fixed position attacked at once. Now ukrainians are using them in ambush most likely alone systems.

The su-34 was equiped with bombs. No kh-31 found on it.

They mocked VDV for having no thermal sights or night googles, how they try to flank them in night but have no chance because they don't use quadcopters or night fighting equipment so they get ambushed so easily instead. So they claim evade fighting during day because they have edge at night.

And looking at those destroyed vehicles and ambush aftermatch I see it's actually true. There are barely even reflex sights on russian rifles let alone NGVs. And they took pictures wearing their Murican supplied GPNVG that cost like 40.000 USD.

This is concerning i guess VDV didnt get the new gears yet or it's not widespread.

Mike read the comments to the Veonkor Kotenok channel Z on telegram

Its pro russian channel, you will see in the replies, people saying

"and the bald man talks about fraternal people"

    "Guys got bogged down"

Maybe it's enough to sort into the bad and the good? No one will appreciate it. After some time, the raped will be presented ....., like their predecessors. The Germans appreciated that we did not act with them as they do on our territory, and these svidomo even more so. For 30 years of autonomy, Gulyai-Pole could not convince me that we are different people. Now I know we're not brothers. So how do they treat their people, how do they behave with prisoners, how do the peasants escape abroad...... Russians don't do that

This is Russian sentiment, they want to see heavier approach on "fraternal people"

This is not a military decision, it's a political one

They should be being levelled to the ground

Mike , its emotional response to seeing people killed or hurt , because of Svidomo trash

It's not an expert response, but people want to see svidomos destroyed

Russian sentiment has changed in the last week to this war, people support it, but have extreme disregard for Ukropia

People dont think of Ukropia as brothers, but as ants to be squashed

Many are angry with Ukropians and just wanna see the place destroyed

Shit gets misses. Think US didn't lose aircraft in Serbia or Iraq?

To be honest USAF lost one F117a and one F16 in whole 78 days of bombing. Plus few damaged A10s that all flew back to bases. Allegedly we have damaged few more but nothing that couldn't limp back.

It is reported that Andrei Kosyak, an observer of the LC CCS captured by Ukrainian terrorists, has been released. He was held in a pre-trial detention center in Starobilsk, which was recently released by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

You remember this guy was captured and blindfolded from DPR side, he was released

I still wonder, what are the people yapping about scratch
Ukraine had more SAM systems than Poland, Germany and France - combined.
Not to mention the potency, because only SAMP-T the Froggg has can be considered as slightly superior (disputable?) to S-300 Orcs had.
How many SAMP-T are there? 10 pieces in total? scratch Seriously asking.

The Iglas inventory Orcs had left would be enough to make a ladder to the moon.

Same applies to the ATGMs, as they have both waste stocks left after SU (that could not steal any single one of them, even if tried hard), plus they have produced quite potent systems later on.

Nobody fought a war with so well armed opponent since Chechenya.

Of course that choppers&planes will fall down, and of course the armored equipment will be destroyed in numbers.

Will it help them? Hardly ...

Kievan forces are more or less a proper military force. There are military schools in Ukraine where they study, develop and teach strategies and tactics. Ukraine was fundamental part of the USSR hence they have all the legacy also; in military, in intelligence etc.

It has rotted for 30 years, true. But it's still a solid foundation if we compare to actors Russia faced in Syria. PLUS they have been trained and supplied by major western military forces for years.

They brought a then super secret super stealth plane down with a 1960 era S-125 Pechora missile. Ukraine has the Buk M1 in service which is quite a bit more capable. Russia has the Buk M2/3's in service which is even better.

First Gulf war was somewhat different true. But Iraqis were fielding huge AD force, and Coalition used sometimes literally hundreds of aircraft at a time.

The country was about 1/10th of the Ukraine.
And the bombing was performed by some 400+ planes of the biggest military bloc existing on the planet, with a waste usage of Tomahawks for a whole period. If I am not mistake, they released some 1000 pcs on tiny Serbia.
    Apple to oranges.

From what I have seen FSB spetsnaz is the best equipped and trained for urban combat

They train at night, with quadcopters, drones, UGV, and all that

But it's a good thing for VDV and ground force to get this experience

Also it could help get better procurement if their officers see what they could use
