Frankly I see dealing with Banderastan proper ie Lvov etc to be a lot easier. BEcause if they despise Russia, Russia doesn't have to worry about killing them in an (ahem) surgical strike from a Tu-95 bomber.

Most ukrainian fighters are on the front. Once Russia secure the east that means all are dead or captured.

West ukraine will be empty of soldiers. Then I doubt they will go for it. Just destroy the military infrastructures. People there aren't ethnic russians and Russia has no interest in them.

What they want is the east, kill nazi groups and destroy military bases accross the country.

The west is also totally empty of ressources and industry.

God damn... heroes ... t72 took so many beastly hits

They hit the engine on the left side, and he lost power... them they just kept hitting and hitting..

RIP and I hope the guy who got out made it

Mobility kill, Left Track is broken after hit and rolls off when the tank reverses.
even with light AT weapons that can not penetrate the Armour, you can still put tanks out of action.
    Tracks, optics, radio's, weapons

Tanks are an usefull resource in urban combat, but they need to advance behind infantry to clear out any AT-Threats.

Yeah noticed after the track rolling off, once the first hit was taken

Guys should have just run out after the first one

If they're unsupported just abandon tank as soon as first hit is taken

    Cus they will keep engaging

8:34 At a briefing, the Russian Defence Ministry listed regions of Ukraine where the population, according to their data, is in favour of “good relations” with Russia. These are the Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolayiv, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Kiev and Zhytomyr regions. A total of 15 million people retain “strong ties to Russia” in these territories

After all the video of urban war in syria where lonely taks get anhilated they still find some people crazy enough to drive them there.

Urban war must be done on foot. With support from the drones. Tanks aren't needed. Maybe send those bmp-t behind the troop. But first reenforce the protection with add ons.

Despite the slow pace of #Russia's advance in #Ukraine, there is still considerable risk of breakthroughs triggering progressive collapse of defensive positions, rapidly expanding Russia's reach East of the Dnieper River.

More on this in my recent piece: https://newlinesinstitute.org/governance/rus

Slovakia should have kept its own S-300 because they will end up like this as soon as they start using them. Now thry are left with no air defence system and their own doesn't help ukraine.

Going building to building and room to room just doesn't work, you'll take insane casualties

They figured that out back in WW2

if you want to take cities, you have a few choices
    - level enemy strongpoints, buildings with self-propelled guns, artillery, air power. But the economic damage and civilian casualties in this case is huge, and probably not a good look when you don't have media dominance
    - assault enemy strong points and buildings with tanks and infantry; shooting out floors in preparation for infantry to advance up them. In place of tanks you can probably use shmel type rockets in a pinch. Effective, but still a lot of damage, and you'll take considerable casualties
    - take a methodical approach, strip away layers of defense, recon out enemy strong points, employ snipers, tank sniping, small squads to advance step by step while laying down suppression fire. You'll take casualties anyway, and it'll take more time. Civilians are more safe this way, but the risk is they could run out of water over the time such an op takes
    - use drones creatively like what i theorised on before

Right now Mariupol is mostly of the methodical variety, albeit with artillery and other fire support against isolated Nazi strongppints and encircled troops

I have been posting about the US lunacy that they can manage a nuclear war for years. American decider worms really believe
they can manage nuclear wars. They probably still think that their ABM system can fully shield them from Russian HGV warheads.

I think that tank might have been coming to help the attacked tank in front of it, which ended up being also either destroyed or damaged.

The tank shown in the video sustained at least five direct hits.

The crew member did not leave the tank until at least four direct hits, or until it became unsustainable to remain in the tank.

The tank and its crew were tough.

Today's war report, slow but steady progress. I can't take this anymore, not a day passes without news of another Ukro atrocity, the relief about the people being saved from Mariupol was drowned when I heard of the shelling of people that were being handed aid by the Russians near Kharkov

I wish this would end sooner

These are the militia of the DPR and the DPR, recently mobilized to defend against the attack of Ukraine. So these are not combat units, they play the role of the commandant's office and law enforcement patrols. So they are armed with what is left, and new weapons go to the front. You don't need an AK to keep order at roadblocks.

I think it is necessary to take into account the administrative boundaries of the regions, so it will not be a straight line, and it may be several tens of kilometers to the west.
Although in general, so far Russia continues to insist that no occupation of Ukrainian territories is planned.
