The vengeance continues. Three arrivals of missiles were recorded in Ternopol.

And how exactly will Russian aircraft use terrain bounce jamming? To be able to use terrain bounce jamming, they'll need to fly very close to the ground. Consequently, they'll be super vulnerable to MANPADS. And as you can see, Russia did lose aircraft to MANPADS.

A 103rd Tank Repair Plant in Chita region.

For the last 3 years, they have repaired and resurrected about 800 (EIGHT HUNDRED) T-62Ms taken from the storage.

Working on 2 shifts, but they can start a 3 shift routine if asked.

Tanks are not only being brought back from the storage but modernized.
Volna FCS is upgraded with TI, add-on armor is upgraded - that applies to BDD, and additional elements of reactive armor is applied.

The command of the Nazis threw the caterpillar "Birch" - T-80UD and T-72MP to the front




The Nazi armed formations of the Kiev regime continue to suffer significant losses in their main battle tanks. The situation is not corrected by the supply of equipment from NATO's Eastern European states - Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
As the project "RG: Russian weapons" notes, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is forced to put into operation samples that exist in small quantities or have the status of experienced and experimental.
So, the T-80UD "Birch" and the only copy of the T-72MP were recently spotted on the line of contact.

In total, the "eighties" in the diesel version, according to various sources, in Ukraine there were two and a half dozen units. All this equipment was produced back in the days of the USSR, at a plant in Kharkov. In the second half of the 80s, in terms of its tactical and technical characteristics, it was in many ways superior to foreign competitors. Perhaps the only serious drawback was the lack of thermal imaging sights, which were already used on the American M1 Abrams, West German Leopard 2 and British Challenger 1.

These machines, basically, first fell into military schools, where officers were trained for the Soviet Army.
Among them there were samples of the very first issues, both with hinged anti-cumulative dynamic protection "Kontakt-1", and with the more modern "Kontakt-5", already made in the built-in version and neutralizing armor-piercing sub-caliber shells.
Structurally, they had much in common with the T-80U produced in Leningrad and Omsk. The main difference is that instead of a gas turbine, a two-stroke 1000-horsepower 6TD was used.

Currently, the T-80UD are considered obsolete, in Russia they were removed from service long ago, in Ukraine, on the contrary, they were sent to the troops. Of course, a few arriving cars will not play any special role.

It also makes no sense to send an experimental T-72MP to the front, first introduced a quarter of a century ago and created jointly with foreign companies. It was equipped with a French fire control system. The standard engine was replaced with the 6TD mentioned above. Despite the intensive advertising campaign, no one was willing to buy it. For many years, this "armored loser" rusted in a sump near Kharkov, from where it was removed last fall. Assumptions were made that they were going to use it for some kind of test purposes, but now they were sent on a "last trip" to the line of contact.

80UD was withdrawn from the Russian service only because it was not numerous. It is much better than all 64s and 72s they have.

I have no doubt that the Russians also have losses, but the Russians can compensate for their technical losses and replace them with new machines, missiles, and grenades. Human lives are another story. The armed conflict continues and losses are inevitable. Of course, the West can also deliver weapons to Ukroshitstan, but I still don't see the desire of the West to send the "superior" MIM-104, Leopard-2, F-15 and F-16.
I have no doubt that Russia will have losses, but I increasingly doubt the quality of Western weapons.

You both are showing internet in a nutshell...

The problem with the Russian T-80s is the gas turbine engine.  Mighty powerful, but thirsty as hell, hard/impossible to repair under field conditions, and just generally overkill.

It was designed for WW3 spearhead operations with the entire nation mobilized behind it and the ground ahead struck by masses of strategic bombing and even tactical nukes, not this kind of slow, careful and feather light operation (by comparison).

It's the same reason the M1 has underperformed badly in foreign service, where it hasn't been supported by the gargantuan U.S. military organization in full war mode, for which it was designed.
