The sole fact of blowing the pipes should be a katharsis causing the whole EU policy to reverse.
It was a bloody act of war staged against the EU.
An act of strategic scale sabotage against multi-billion investment of the EU based companies, and a direct blow into the EU industrial potential.
Perpetrators are clearly Anglosaxon origin, no matter if that was done by yours of the Muricans directly. The cause is clear and was clearly stated by the US administration for a very long time. Mrs. Rise was kind enough to tell that openly in 2012 if I remember.
US struggle to take a bite from the EU cake was admitted by Putin back in 2007.
The fact that EU rulers didn't respond to that is the final proof that we are being administrated by a band of thugs and criminals who care shit about well being of not one nation, but 600+ mln people living on the entire continent, being tens of nations.
And I really believe that what we face now, was already well described by the adviser for the US/GER relation in Kohl administration in an interview for Der Spiegel. He stated openly, that the US will push their interests at any cost, including terrorizing, bribing, blackmailing or finally killing the opponents. No matter if they are considered allies or not.
We face cancer that will burn the whole world we live in, if not opposed and stopped.

Germany has tough choices to make...
Being blamed for the defeat of Ukraine, seeing its L2s burned or even being paraded around Moscow with war booty.

Obviously, putting the blame on Germany is a very safe way out of the conflict for the US... let's see what happens...

Also, 287 planes? This would mean that Russia no longer has Su-25 attack aircraft and Su-24 bombers at least. I wonder why this number is not 2870? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

As long as the Nazis in charge in Ukraine , can convince their troops and population , that the war is winnable , IE ; that territories now part of Russia , can be won back . Then the Ukrs side will not seriously negotiate land for peace . Land for peace , is at least privately , what European leaders are advising Ukraine . But European leaders must understand that , they must match their actions with their words . Supply of 600 Brimstone missiles and other help , gives the impression , although hollow , that the war can be won . This will not bring Ukrs side to the negotiating table . It must be made clear by them , that Europe will not provide so much help , to enable the continued military occupation of Russian majority areas , or recapture of old territory . Russia , I think , will negotiate control over territory , where Russians are not a majority , and may even be a large minority or a small minority . However the present territory under Russia control , are Russia absolute majority areas . No negotiations are possible over this area .

Zaporizhzhia it's self have a very big possibility to become a Ukie Stalingard, with those large rivers the Ukie would have to ferry troops across, that is if the russians get that far of course, this is under the assumption they do.

That said, this is what should have been done from day 1, attack from multiple points, apply pressure and make Ukraine choose but they are doing it small scale.

There is no "lack" of infantry, most of the infantry is sitting in various garrisons across Russia

It's stupid to speak on things you know nothing about

If the General Staff is using minimal infantry units, then both the political and military leadership agreed to the scale of the operation

Stop pretending to know more than the Kremlin and the General Staff

Considering potential Russian AEW coverage here.

I wonder how long they'll last. Considering no civilian traffic there, Russia can try lobbing R-37. Bakhmut is definitely within coverage in all altitudes. The only reason if it's not covered is there is no AEW flying or no CAP's.

Alamo, the US needs Germany not to supply tanks so they can be blamed for the collapse of Ukraine.

The good old 'we did everything we could but those Europeans let us and Ukraine down' Very Happy

The Germans must be well aware of the annimus that pictures of German tanks, supporting Nazis, will have across the World but especially in Russia. Without doubt, the video of the destruction of the first would gain that crew a serious medal.

Na, it's an existential conflict for the same US & pals now too, now that they've placed their entire wealth in bets on the matter

At stake is the Saudi-backed petrodollar, sanctions as an effective Western tool for crippling other countries, IMF/World Bank/SWIFT monopolies, US exceptionalism & freedom to militarily intervene where they see fit, US debts and reserves not being sold off in favour of a basket of various currencies by other countries in the world, possibly of a majority of seats on the UN security council being held by the US & Europe, even the unity of NATO. And perhaps other things.

There will be a hell of a reckoning with massive consequences if they admit to defeat in the Ukraine now
It doesn't matter who they scapegoat among themselves or what justifications they use. That's a trivial affair in comparison.
Hence why they keep digging, and escalate the conflict more and more

They're angry at Germany now for the sole reason that Germany's public refusal has exposed rifts in a previously united Western front.
And from here it's possible that a snowball could start rolling with more countries and statesmen looking for a way out or getting cold feet.
After all, this episode has also coincided with the first public divisions in the Ukrainian leadership; with Arestovich in the Ukraine being the first higher-up in the Ukrainian govt. to be seen to go rogue & start hedging bets (and survive, so far). Shortly after him the MVD head was killed, and now one of the Ukrainian national guard commanders publicly condemned his Commander-in-Chief, Zaluzhny.

Don´t underestimate the hybris of the neocons. They believe that all this negative stuff will go away soon after they declared victory
by "letting" the Russians fly their flags above Kiev and (maybe) Lviv. That´s why they keep lying about russian losses and "economy in
shambles". This is their way out.

Just in case if someone would be in disbelieve to what Hole said, I will just recommend you to get back to Afhgan issue and Stoltenberg statements.
A year before US shamefully withdrawed, this piece of shit was openly stating bullshit like "the Taliban has been defeated, they should understand that, and just lay down the weapon".
It was a time, when the Bundeswehre was scratching the bottom of the barrel trying to equip a whole 500 (?) contingent. And razed the whole active duty units to secure the needed number of operational vehicles.
This madness last for years. Didn't happened now.
They DO believe that the reality can be spelled ...

I'm sure there is awacs support and mig 31bm's in the skies at all times. With this combo and other fighters they have pretty successfully cleared the skies. In the confusion of this all out war and dozens of nations supporting Ukraine some aircraft, particularly helicopters, will slip thru.

I'm so tired of OSINT idiots speaking in ignorance. Russia has not even declared war. Hasnt even declared it a terrorist operation or an operation giving greater leeway to politicians and generals. This has quietly been changing over time but this and the fact that Russia uses totally different military doctrine means the war is not the usual western style of fighting. Almost every OSINT goof, even ones I used to respect, have spoken in complete ignorance. Even buying into blatant propaganda. It is all so tiring.

Press-ganging some middle-aged man next to his garage to be drafted and sent to some Bakhmut

Tell you what they should do instead, if they need fresh meat that bad. Take those policemen and camouflaged personnel twisting everyone's hands behind their back - and send them to the front instead. They seem to be motivated to defend the regime, and certainly are more physically prepared as well. There will be a lot more mileage out of them. Meanwhile draft these older civilians into the local police instead, to keep order.

i support what alamo Said, he's right on target.
That is exactly what happened with Afghanistan and applies to all NATO members participating in it.
resources of nations where first depleted, then battle-ready units got stripped to get their Afghanistan operations going for a little while.
To just one by one step quietly out of Afghanistan.

Meanwhile still pretending to everyone things where going according to plan.
The same collapse is starting to show now.

This whole new arms support package is an pure panic response as Russia has chewed the Ukro's up to their last guys.
No arms in the world will save Ukraine, especially not when your fighting age males are currently rotting in the ukrainian soil.

Germany can not supply the Leo 2, as they need it themselves, and they have promised half of former soviet states now that they get leo-2's after shipping their soviet tanks to Ukraine.
The german army union says they can no longer supply anything to ukraine because of all these obligations and they have severe shortages themselves.
Rheinmetall says it is impossible and names various reasons why they can not meet all these demands.

Americans, their precious status symbol M1 Abrams. Will not make a difference either, And it its notoriously maintenance heavy.
It's gas turbine that requires specialized maintenance and has rather limited range compared to the diesel powered tanks.
Bradley's, they are just IFV's. And judging from video's taken by Ukrainian troops training in Bradley's in Poland i think they will be in Ukraine in a few weeks.

Either way like Russia said, no weapons supplied to Ukraine will change the inevitable outcome.
Men are an finite resource and Russia has burning that Ukrainian resource on both ends.

Im sure the Loss of Ukraine will drive some Neocons insane and demand for U.S involvement. I do not think they will.
Euroope is the U.S bufferzone. And the U.S does not care about the well-being of Europe.
It is an tool to be used, manipulated and exploited.
But for now, the U.S millitary can cut off their "Ukraine" rotten limb and focus elsewhere.

It is China that poses an bigger threat to the U.S and they will keep their resources back for them.
The U.S can not be everywhere at once, and the Pentagon at least knows this.
