Tank-on-tank engagements are still rare, far and few between, but dude. When they do occur...

The only one that applies was one that burned.
The engagement distance was much smaller tho.

Actually if Ukraine had not had such leadership, Russia would not have had any chance to even get Donetsk and Lugansk, as if Ukraine truly implemented the Minsk 2 agreement Russia would have had to allow them to return to Ukrainian control (albeit with some autonomy). Not having a war (or ending it too soon) would have left Russia with another situation similar to 2005 Ukraine or modern Armenia/Kazakhstan.franco wrote:Told you from the beginning, he is Russia's best asset in this fight

Media: disassembled F-16 fighters were brought to Ukraine
The long-awaited “package” arrived from Poland this night. It is reported that two trucks with two dismantled American F-16 fighters entered Ukraine. In total, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have five such aircraft at the beginning of November, writes Rybar.
The fact that the fighters were transferred ahead of schedule suggests that the situation with the Ukrainian Air Force is on the verge of stalemate - thanks to the work of the Aerospace Forces, Air Defense and Black Sea Fleet, Ukraine has almost no aircraft left.
Probably the main target of the F-16 will be the MiG-31 and A-50. Fighters can be equipped with various types of air-to-air missiles of the AIM series.
But there is a nuance. As Zaluzhny noted in an already sensational article in The Economist, F-16s “are no longer as useful” as Russia has improved its air defense (we are talking about increasing the range of the S-300 system). According to Russian Defense Minister Shoigu, thanks to this, the F-16s promised to Ukraine will last about 20 days.
I don't know with the constant air to ground attacks from Ukraine to Crimea has me worried the F-16s will increase that chance of happening since russian news reports only say missiles get intercepted but not the aircrafts carrying them.
Sure. Only 30+ aircraft were shot down in the last 10 - 14 days.but not the aircrafts carrying them.

Not an expert in aviation, not even an enthusiast, but how would it affect 40+ year old airframes and components, this type of disablement?JohninMK wrote:
