There were no attacks on government buildings as many on the wires speculated.

Just an observation about where exactly F16 should be taken down . In my view , Russia concentrated on defeating the weaker or lesser part of the enemy forces . This was and is the Ukrainian proxy forces in Ukraine , especially the Nazi element .  Russia knows who destroyed the North Stream pipeline , and they know where these F16 flying coffins fly from . But knowing and saying are different things . Some said if , F16 fly from NATO territory , then they can or should be taken down in their airspace . Yes it is justified to do so , but it risks bringing NATO forces ( the larger and stronger portion of enemy forces ) into a direct fight . The stronger force added to the weaker force ! But as long as the weaker element is being defeated , and it is being defeated , then all efforts should be made to keep NATO , out of the fight . Therefore for now , it is best to destroy these F16 , over Ukrainian airspace , unless NATO presents enough of a threat , directly or indirectly , that it derails the defeat of Ukrs , or poses an existential threat to Russia . This situation has not arrived yet . Once the weaker force is defeated , then the stronger force can be dealt with much better .

So according to you, the Ukrs are losing only 250 men per day. That is delusionally low.

They wouldn't have problems that are solved by sending drone operators to man front line trenches if they were only losing such a small number per day.

The debt will be the reason why the west keeps sanctions against Russia.

I hope so... so many Russian businessmen want to give away energy and resources to Europe for a fraction of what it is worth.

Russia should maintain all sanctions against hostile western entities until they drop their sanctions but also offer apologies and compensation for the damage they have done.

They will claim that Russia has to pay for it because Russia took over regions of the fake country formerly known als Ukraine.

I hope then never drop their sanctions... it is hurting them more than it hurts Russia...

Only problem is that they will go after smaller countries Russia is trading with.

With all the countries BRICS incorporates now and will incorporate in the future most small countries wont need good relations with the west any more... a decent replacement for SWIFT and the west wont even know what most countries are even doing.

Stuff about telegram moved to off topic thread here.

So, the Russians hit Ukraine with one of the largest strike packages of the war - over 200 launches including drones and a wide spectrum of missiles. It looks like they mostly hit power generation and transmission, with a few military facilities sprinkled in.

A few notable things that stand out against other strikes (besides the size) were hits on three separate 750kv substations in western Ukraine, including one in Vinnytsia. This is very important, because sufficient damage to transmission in the western oblasts will prevent Ukraine from importing European electricity to replace its own lost generation. They've relied heavily on imports to prop up their grid.

Russia also struck the Kiev Hydro plant (finally) but they targeted the turbine hall, not the dam itself. Unclear how much of the power generation was taken offline.

    ₦₳V????????é???????? 🇷🇺
    @Navsteva

Russian MoD: The targets of Russian aviation were power substations in Kiev, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Nikolaev, Kirovograd and Odessa regions. In addition, the Russian Armed Forces attacked the storage sites of aviation weapons transferred by the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Western allies. Warehouses with weapons were located at airfields in Kiev and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

In addition, the ministry stressed that the Russian servicemen managed to hit compressor stations in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kharkiv regions. In particular, the gas transportation system of Ukraine functioned with the help of these installations.

All established targets were hit, and railway transportation of weapons and shells to the line of contact was disrupted.

    - Nikolaev - emergency shutdown schedule has been fully implemented.
    - Rivne - rocket inbound, explosions heard
    - Power outages occurred on railway infrastructure in various regions of Ukraine. Reserve diesel locomotives have been brought out. There are delays on suburban electric trains.
    - Lvov - power outages hang begun
    - Transcarpathia - cruise missiles spotted

So they moved much of their armies reserves plus active units to Kursk and the Russian Army is taking advantage.

So far it seems that this is one of the largest Russian strikes we saw so far.
Almost all of Ukraine is under air attack.
Ukrainian air defense is only working near their Kursk bulge - a little in Kiev and a little in the Vinnytsia region.
Looks like Ukraine is going dark.

So no electricity to power water pumps. This means that those living in blocks of flats are going to face lugging water up the stairs as no doubt the lifts will stop along with the empty water tanks in the roof. Cancel that gym subscription!!!

We will probably see sewage in the streets again as the shit moving pumps also stop.

This will be worse than in the worst places in the third world as the for the locals there it is their way of life, whilst in Ukraine it is a new and painful experience that can only get worse as the colder weather approaches.

An interesting aspect will be how the wealthy or those in the higher ranks adapt. Will they turn their standby generators on and risk their neighbours wanting to share? Laughing Civil unrest is on the way.

    CASEVAC now increasing in priority

On the road from Berlin to the south via Dresden, a transfer of 22 units of equipment was noticed. Medical and evacuation vehicles, as well as refrigerated body transports , are heading towards Poland. The further destination is clear.

✨ Previously, Germany supplied mainly weapons and equipment. After the start of the suicidal operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, the need for this type of assistance from NATO has apparently increased. The enemy already has more than 5 thousand irreparable losses.

Germany is unsuccessfully trying to resist Washington's will to increase supplies to the Ukrainian Armed Forces to its own detriment. However, soon Germany will probably not be able to finance military supplies to Ukraine from the federal budget. Thus, the FAZ newspaper, citing an appeal by the country's Finance Minister Christian Lindner to the head of the Defense Ministry Boris Pistorius and the head of the German Foreign Ministry Annalene Baerbock, reported on August 5 that new measures to support Kiev " can only be taken if their financing is provided in the budget plans for this and subsequent years."

Just what some here have been demanding Laughing  This is a really well thought out strategic attack covering a wide range of targets.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation released another comment on today’s waves of strikes in Ukraine, revealing the targets of the attack. The Russian military officially confirmed that the targets included both military and energy infrastructure facilities that provides for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The targets of the strike included electrical substations in Kiev, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Kirovograd and Odessa regions.

Gas compressor stations in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kharkiv regions, which ensure the functioning of the gas transportation system of Ukraine, were also damaged.

In addition, the storage sites of aviation weapons transferred to Kiev by Western countries at airfields in the Kiev and Dnipropetrovsk regions were attacked.

All designated targets have been hit, as a result of power outages, railway transportation of weapons and ammunition to the line of contact has been disrupted, the Russian Ministry of Defense concluded.

Ukrainian sources are sharing more and more footage of the damage caused by Russian strikes throughout the country. Thus, more targets were clarified.

As a result of precision strikes in the Kiev region, Russian missiles struck the engine room on the dam of the Kiev water reservoir near the town of Vushgorod on the northern outskirts of the capital. A large fire broke out as a result of the attack. The Kiev HPP, a key element in the region’s energy system, was seriously damaged, which led to the shutdown of electricity generation at the facility.

More strikes destroyed industrial facilities used for production of aviation ammunition in the city of Kiev.

Several Ukrainian facilities came under attack in the village of Usatovo in the Odessa region. They include a large depot and the local large energy substation.

Railway infrastructure was heavily damaged in the border Sumy region.

In the Vinnytsya region, Russian forces struck Ukrgasvydobych facilities in the settlement of Bazilovshchina. As a result of the attack, a pumping station and 12 railway tanks with combustible substances caught fire.

At least eight missiles struck the large Stryi gas storage facility and the Dashava gas field in the Lviv region.

The large energy substation that came uner Russian strikes throughout the country include:

station in Usatovo in the Odessa region
        Khmelnitskaya 330
        Zhitomirskaya 330
        Severnaya 330
        Vinnytsya 750 and Bar 330
Trikhaty 330 in the Mykolaiv region
Pervomaiskaya 330 in the Dnepropetrovsk region
        Kievskaya 750
        Kremenchugskaya 330
        Zapadnoukrainskaya 750.

    Seriously organised corruption.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces discovered that their Western aid cargo had disappeared

Thus, 424 vehicles, 476 tons of various goods and six tons of food disappeared into thin air without a trace. The estimated amount of the missing goods is 171 million hryvnia or 4.1 million dollars.

The amount is residual, the cost of the decommissioned vehicles from the armies of Western countries was a pittance. But still, someone had their eye on this.

Today was a second disco night, on a scale of yesterday's.
A hotel full of mercs has been demolished in Krivy Rog.

In total 9x Tu-95 reported, and rumors about up to 7 Kinzhals.
