It was going to have more powerful MTU diesels to handle the extra mass but delivery came up post 404 -> Germany refused to deliver so its been built with same engines as 20380s & should be a bit underpowered (variable pitch props though instead of fixed pitch). So they sourced the engines for this class of ships from Russia?
So can they order more of these corvettes now? And does Derzkii class use this same engine model?
I like to hope it got an upgrade to being based on the Pantsir-S2 AESA instead of still being Pantsir-S1 based PESA Furke but probably not.The small radome looks like a cherry on top of some ice cream.

What about Retivy and Strogy in STP they were planed for 2018? Any info about them?verkhoturye51 wrote:I believe Shishkin noted October-November 2019 as planned commissioning date. Gremyashchiy is an upgraded class, so new systems have to be tested. Unlike Steregushchy it will fire Kalibr cruise missiles.

That's true, but it still takes them around a year and a half (recent ships) to commission the "basic" model after the launch. It's still to long if you ask me.
I hope they can cut the time to no more than a year for future ships.
With the current trend we wont see the 3rd and the 4th ship in the Pacific fleet until the end of 2020 and 2021.

Does anyone know if all of them are AESA?
