India and CHINA any small force will do a BIG political difference. and if European countries joins Russia coalition even better. Political pressure from powerful nations can be more effective than bullets and bombs.

When war started most of the Syrian soldiers had a body armor. However as mobilisation and loses went on amount of available vests was shrinking as you would imagine. Now you can see them very often with 6B23s and 6b12s from Russia. Serbian/Yugoslavian wests built by Mile Dragić were spotted too, however i assume these were obtained from third party, since military sales in Serbia are monitored (sadly). And reports say they obtained significant amount of balistic vests and combat vests from China during last 2 years.

You can spot them using Chinese TAT-BA-7, TYZ-BV-095, RYY97-203, VFDY-R002 and similar, i have strong feeling (this might sound silly) that they are ordering them on http://www.made-in-china.com and then paired with various combat vests to carry ammo.

Today mentioned Grad rocket attack aganist Latakia air base:

Russian forces are stationed there. This isn’t the first time Ahrar al Sham has claimed attacks on the Russians’ airbase in Syria. On Sept. 28, Ahrar al Sham posted a video on its website of rockets being fired at Hmeimim. A member of the group, identified only as a “commander” named “Omar,” told the press that the rockets were the first of volleys to come. “Omar” explained to Al-Souria Net (as re-reported by NOW) that Ahrar had seized the Grad rockets from Assad’s military bases. “These are your goods. They have been returned to you,” Omar said of the Grad rockets, which are of Russian origin. The Ahrar al Sham commander promised that “any spot or location where warplanes take off to [strike] civilians directly or indirectly will be targeted.”



Other jihadists have launched rockets at Hmeimim as well. For example, on Sept. 29, the predominantly Uzbek group Katibat al Tawhid wal Jihad (KTJ) claimed responsibility for “rocket attacks” against the “Russian infidels” stationed at the base. OK but..... Did any of these attacks actually happened or were they just total failures? Cause Russia is bombing the enemy with almost no issues at all. You would think if the airbase was constantly being attacked like it is claimed, that the Russians and Syrians would turn the areas around the airforce bases into no mans land.

That i do not know, however judging by what pieces i see around seems they are always falling short of the actual airfield and hitting hills and fields.

I figure the same, cause if the airbase was attacked it would be on the news. Russian news like interfax. As well, destroyed aircrafts and killed personnel would be a kicker for Russia back home. So clearly either they are not hitting anything at all or they are using old footage to claim that they are attacking the airbase.
