I was thinking as much about the noise as seat comfort. And no, no chance of DVT.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Units of Russian special forces have been deployed in Syria to carry out a variety of tasks, including reconnaissance and target-designation, the commander of the Russian military contingent in Syria said. "Our special forces units are operating in Syria. They provide additional reconnaissance for Russian airstrikes, carry out aircraft target-designation in remote areas, and carry out other special tasks," Col. Gen. Alexander Dvornikov said in an interview with Rossiiskaya Gazeta posted on its website on Wednesday.
The government forces have liberated 400 settlements in Syria during the Russian air operation in Syria, recapturing some 10,000 square kilometers (over 3,860 sq. miles) from terrorists, the commander of the Russian military contingent in Syria said. "During the operation, the Syrian forces with the Russian air support liberated 400 settlements," Col. Gen. Alexander Dvornikov said in an interview with Rossiiskaya Gazeta posted on its website on Wednesday.
The potential of terrorist groups has been reduced by half, they have lost initiative, while the territory under their control shrank by 10,000 square kilometers," Dvornikov stressed.

"In order to boost the combat capability of Syrian army units and patriotic opposition groups, we have supplied them with modern weaponry and equipment, including artillery systems, communications and reconnaissance means, etc.," Col. Gen. Alexander Dvornikov said in an interview with Rossiiskaya Gazeta posted on its website.
Moreover, Russian military advisers provided active and efficient assistance to government forces, Kurdish militia and patriotic opposition ensuring their success in stopping the advance of terrorist groups in Syria, the commander of the Russian contingent in Syria said. "Our advisers took an active part in the preparation of combat actions, which had a positive impact on the situation [in Syria]," Col. Gen. Alexander Dvornikov said in an interview with Rossiiskaya Gazeta.
"This joint work has allowed to destroy terrorist infrastructure and logistics channels, to regain the initiative and begin the offensive…on 15 fronts," Dvornikov stressed.

No shit. Russians really need to be better at this. Mosfilm or something needs to make a couple of cheesy movies, with generic bad guys.

A Russian Il-76 (NATO reporting name Candid) military transport plane carrying 160 material and technical support personnel has departed from Syria to return home, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported Wednesday.
HMEIMIM (Syria) (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the pullout of a bulk of air groups from the Arab republic on March 14 after they had broadly completed anti-terrorist objectives.
The servicemen and women who left the Hmeimim air facility performed refueling missions, as well as assignments concerning fuel, water, food and aircraft ammunition supplies. Their other tasks included laundry service and equipment and communications maintenance at the facility. The decision to send them back to their home bases was made as a consequence of a reduced workload after the departure of most air groups from Syria over the past week.
The Russian Defense Ministry press service said the Il-76 was expected at one of the Central Military District airfields late Wednesday.
An An-124 Ruslan (Condor) airlifter is also en route to Russia, carrying equipment and three Mi-35 helicopters that have wrapped up their missions in Syria.

Its not that bad as one might think actually. Its similar to what you can expect in other troop/cargo transport aircraft around.
IL76 seats
C17 seats, sometimes they for very long trips install common liner seating too, but thats only for Trans-Atlantic trips
Like this
And ofc C130 Hercules
Now see what i had pleasure to take few flights on (shot ones tho):
Its Majesty AN26
C130 are horrid, I remember flying in these they use leak when it rained and alarming amount of water use to come in and the urinal was open plan and behind the cockpit lol, seats are crappy, and the noise horrendous.

Have all the other deaths been acknowledged by the Russian MoD? If so, this may be delayed reporting of the most recent death after definitive confirmation from the site. The Russians seem to be anal about getting the facts before acting. ISIS claims count for nothing.

His death will be avenged.
And jihad pigs are delaying inevitable anyway. Those piles of ISIL carcases are just the beginning. Palmyra is target rich environment.

While air strike is a little off (especially as he had and MG2/MIB at disposal for point defence that wasn't used) he sure died his AK at hand (blood clearly visible on cheekweld, dust cover, eyepiece). Motherfuckers didn't get him alive. What's most important here is that he was seemingly alone (IE he was abandoned by his fireteam, most probably dead or wounded). VP warrior.

One report suggested he was surrounded by ISIS forces who were closing in on him. He called in airstrikes to take them out, at the expense of his own life.
A true hero.

Actually it's a lot more complicated than simple FAC. The guys on the ground have been there for 6 months and done some heavy fighting. There's a couple of small things I was told about a couple of early December videos around Aleppo. Things like tactical emplacements and generally pace of assaults drastically differed from October to December. Basically because Ded Moroz was on the ground. Drones are only good for very niche missions and usually they're visible very fast because of relatively low observation ceiling. Human teams can do a far better job in so many aspects. Off course this increases the risk.

Russian Warplanes Carry Out 41 Sorties Amid Palmyra Liberation
Russian warplanes carried out 41 sorties to support Syrian army's operation aimed at Palmyra's liberation, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
http://sputniknews.com/middleeast/20160325/1036982344/russian-warplanes-palmyra.html
Russian military jets destroyed 146 terrorist targets over the past two days, the ministry said Friday in a daily bulletin.
"From Tuesday to Thursday, Russian Aerospace Forces' warplanes conducted 41 sorties to support the Syrian army's advance and launched strikes on Daesh militants near Palmyra in the province of Homs. Russian aviation destroyed 146 terrorist targets, including command centers, ammunition depots, artillery systems, tanks and automotive vehicles," Lt. Gen. Sergei Kuralenko said.
On Friday, the Syrian Army alongside the Desert Falcons regained control over the Palmyra Castle, a military source told Sputnik. Government troops and militia units have already taken control over all of the strategic heights in the area.
Daesh militants used the castle for sniper fire and mortar shelling of the heights controlled by the army.
The ancient ruins of Palmyra have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city was seized by Daesh in middle-May 2015. Before leaving the city, the Syrian Army evacuated the majority of its residents and the most precious museum antiquities. After Daesh seized the city a number of ancient ruins and temples faced destruction.
Al-Nusra Front terrorists have kidnapped 12 civilians in the Syrian province of Hama for the participation in the country's reconciliation, Kuralenko said. Meanwhile, a preliminary agreement with one populated area in Hama has been reached over the past 24 hours.
"According to information received from local residents of the Hama province, al-Nusra Front terrorists kidnapped 12 locals for participation in the national reconciliation process."
According to the center, three people died and three others were wounded as a result of al-Nusra Front's shelling in the Idlib province. "Al-Nusra Front terrorists shelled the Al Fu'ah settlement in the Idlib province twice. As a result of the shelling, three people died and three more were wounded."
Airstrikes in the vicinity of the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra destroyed the headquarters of two terrorist groups - Daesh and al-Nusra Front, state media reported on Sunday.
A total of 43 armed groups from the Syrian opposition have confirmed their participation in the Syrian ceasefire regime, Kuralenko said. Russian warplanes do not carry out airstrikes on Syrian opposition groups, participating in the truce, he emphasized.
The personnel of the Russian reconciliation center at the Hmeymim airbase delivered over 19 metric tons of humanitarian aid to settlements in three Syrian provinces in the past week.
The general stressed that the Russian personnel several times came under fire from militants during the deliveries.
