I wonder what do they talk about in those situations.

Eliminating 85 at the cost of 3 wounded would be slapping a ho. If this statement by Rudskoi is indeed even ballpark accurate (850?!), then what happened is more like smashing a ho to paste with a sledgehammer.

The jihadi terrorists are admitting to losses of 300. So it looks like the truth was closer to the
pasting option.

#Russia|n KamAZ 53501 w/ loaded pontoon section & what looks like towing motorboat BМК-МО, on their way to Deir Ezzor,#Syria
JohninMK wrote:Those pontoon systems look so clean and shiny, as if they and their crews might have just come off a boat from Mother.

Trucks are borderline mint condition. Hose off the wheels and you can put them in car salon with a price tag...
Forget boat, I wouldn't be surprised if they were fresh off the plane from mother.
Not like it would be tough thing to do, just look at this pic from Sakhalin from yesterday:

That's just fresh delivery for Coast Guard in Sakhalin, I used the pic for illustrative purpose.
If they can squeeze two Mangust patrol boats in one An-124 then those bridging trucks should be no problem. Deir ez Zorr has functional runway. Faster than via Tartus.

I know them's is not for the rivers or serious fighting. We've got 4 of them in Balaklava and a couple in our harbor. Thought they might be for the Coast Guard of Syria.

Nah, too rich for Syrian blood. They might get Raptors but Mangusts are pretty fancy products even though they might look plain on the outside. Proper ocean rated boats.
You are lucky too get to see them, Russian Coast Guard has best looking vessels around.

Syria’s allies in this war – Iran, Hezbollah, Iraq, Russia, China – have maintained only two hard red lines throughout the conflict:
The first is that Assad can only be removed from office in a national election, by a Syrian majority.
The second is that Syria must stay whole.
Their logic was simple. Regime-change, remapping of borders, mercenary proxy armies, divide-and-rule…the old tricks of Western hegemons needed to sto
As the Security Arc succeeded in beating back extremist groups, it would be necessary for three critical neighboring states to gravitate toward participation in this new regional security architecture – Egypt, Turkey and Jordan – each for different reasons.
For the more than 70 percent of Syrians living in government-controlled areas, the appetite for further conflict is nonexistent – and that’s what partition would mean: conflict. Furthermore, not just Syrians, but the whole of the Security Arc and their global allies are now hell bent on protecting themselves by destroying the terrorism that dwells in the remaining pockets of occupied territory
In the military context, a forced partition would require the commitment of troops stronger than the armies of Syria, Iran, Russia, Iraq, Egypt and Hezbollah combined – and that doesn’t exist. In the political context, the international appetite for an ‘imposed’ partition is nil.
